said. I never thought after everything you will act all holy especially knowing your sins are never going to be erased". Wali said looking at her disgusted and she shudder,"I must say that you from before was way better than you are now".
She collects her things rushing pass him without any sense of direction as his piercing eyes went straight from her shattering her soul again. She tries to hold in her tears as she runs to the rooftop finding her leg giving out and she falls on the ground with tears rolling down her face freely.
All the memories rushing right through her mind endlessly making it hard for her to breathe. She feels her panic attack starting as her breathing hitched, sweat covers her and her heart-stopping. The sound around seems to disappear as she saw the blackness starting to emerge in her eyes.
"Well, I never thought we will meet this way again". She heard someone voice which sounds familiar, "Why don't you try looking at the sky to know if the sun came out with it's light today or did it abandoned the disgusting people finally?".
His voice was sweet coaxing her as she bends her head looking at the sky and the sharp rays entering her visions making her blink rapidly.
"I guess the sun brought it's light today". He spoke gently, "Then if the sun hasn't given up on people why is your light blinking as if it's dying down?".
"I-I am scared". She whispers
"Who isn't?". He asked sitting down in front of her and she still hasn't looked at him, "Fear is what makes her human and these emotions are a blessing in a sense that we don't lose sight of humanity because as I see most people have lost it by now".
She took a deep breath wiping her tears away looking at him and her eyes widen when she realised.
"You?".
"Yes! It's me".
"B-But- are you ok now?".
He looks pleasantly surprised at her concerned as he rubs the back of his neck, "I guess. Thanks for helping me".
"It was my duty". She said waving him off
"I guess it's our thing, huh". He said chuckling as she wipes her tears away looking at him with her brown eyes shining brightly in sun, "We save each other every time we meet. Yesterday it was me and today it's you".
She smiles softly unconsciously tugging at her scarf, "I guess so".
"To be honest I saw you in the morning".
"Then you must have heard".
"You mean rumours?". He asked and she nodded, "Then you should hear my rumour because I think people creativity will surprise you and the number of murder I have done so far. I am counting 100 now maybe I should celebrate".
She gasps, "Murder?".
"Oh yeah! Besides that, I sell drugs and in a mafia gang".
"Is this a novel?".
"I prefer movie".
"No way! The movie is a worse form to ruin a very good book. On the other hand, books actually give lives to characters and emotions".

"Maybe. But I don't have that much patience to sit and read words. I barely manage to read my coursebook I might just sleep with a novel".
"A good novel never makes you sleep instead you might give your sleep for it".
"That's a good thing?".
"Not really. I mean one shouldn't compromise on their health it was just a way of putting forward that book are better".
"Perhaps".
"Do you want to head back because I think classes are starting?".
"Um...".
"Would you feel better if you imagine all those idiots are annoying birds who ruin our sleep every morning?".
She chuckles lightly, "That can be interesting".
"How about we change those idiots to a different animal/bird every day?".
"Ok. I am in ". She said excitedly
"Perfect! Now don't let me take your shine away".
"Thank you".
"I own you much more".
"What?".
"Nothing".
She starts to take steps back to the corridor where her classes were and everyone turns to look at them. Well, if you place a triangle and square fitting them together people will find it absurd. At least for them, it will be absurd. None of them spoke through their journey to her class.
He turns to look at her walking with her head held high and her steps remain delicate as he can barely hear the sound of her shoes against the tiles in this silence beside the usual whispering. But the confidence and delicacy she held were beyond him. Even he never held his shoulder high neither his head instead he was always looking down or anywhere possible. Yet, he wishes he can be her.
Only if she knows how she aspires people without knowing.
This must be his first time to not avoid the crowd and to walk with someone besides his friend and though there were many things that can interest him on his way why was his eyes stuck on her?. His heart did a flip when her eyes turn to look at him briefly before shyly looking away and she does that a lot. Unless they are in for a discussion like earlier she will not look at him which interest him more.
God, what's with all the mysteries?.
Why was he sent her way and why was she sent his way?.
There were wild questions in his head as he looks at her trying to understand her but that ends with nothing.
"Oh". She halted slapping her forehead as she turns to look at him guiltily, "I need to go pray before I go to the class. Should I walk you to your class?".
He raises his eyebrows because he wasn't skipping class to pray.
"You know you can read it later, right?".
"I know. But the time I go back prayer time limit will end and I don't like leaving prayer for studies that I can only succeed in if I have Lord will in it".
"Understandable". He paused thoughtfully, "I think we should go together. It's no use by taking 10 minutes lecture just to leave prayer".

She beams at him making him slightly proud that he never leave his prayer though he wasn't sure how she will take other aspects of his life. As they head to the little mosque outside of the university entering their respected sections.
He looks around the silence and peace this place held without any worldly interference. Does he wonders why the world couldn't stop hurting them?. Why come after them?.
"You look troubled". He heard the person who sits next to him say, "Mind telling me?".
"I was wondering why the world never stops hurting us?". He voiced out feeling the pressure on his chest
"If you look through our Book you will never find anywhere Lord saying that the world will be all fun and games. He mentioned multiple times that it is a test and a war against the devil". The man spoke
"Does pain comes from our family?".
"Especially our family. Devil best plan is to break families, confuse children, disturb the hierarchy and have two gender fight against one another. The broken family are the perfect weapon to have children grow into an adult who is a weak person. Family pain cannot ever be healed. There is no way a person can ever look past it and that is why the devil used it".
"They can't heal?".
"Momentarily they might feel better but the scar is always there. You might stop voicing out and you might stop feeling as hurt as you did the first time but it remains deep within. It's roots are always there".
"So what's the solution?".
"I say to continue praying because once you stop walking towards your Lord He will stop walking to you. Only he can bring you some comfort in this world. Besides that, start building yourself for a better future for your own family".
"My family?". He chokes out
The man chuckles patting his shoulder, "We all want a beautiful family but we forget we are the one who make beautiful family. It takes a lot of hard work and fighting off demon to reach a beautiful family, not the perfect but simply beautiful".
Family.
He had never thought about his own family. Now that he imagines it to come home to his wife and children would be an amazing feeling. His thoughts start to run in directions he had never thought as he heads outside.
But will there be a woman who willingly accepts him?.
"Hey". He heard her voice as she shakes her hand in front of him
He blinks a couple of time to break his daze as she spoke, "You spaced out there".
"Sorry".
"It's fine. You know what I realised?".
"What?".
"We don't even know each other names".
"Oh, right. I am Ehtisham and you?".
"Isra". She said smiling, "Don't tell me you will use one of those cheesy lines".
He chuckles, "A beautiful name for a beautiful girl".
She giggles, "That one".
He shakes his head with a small smile looking at his watch, "We should head back".
She nodded as they follow back to the university and he drops her to her class as she enters she said a quick apology hearing snickering from everyone as she sits down on the corner seat.
She looks at her book memorizing every single word when the bell rings signalling that the day had ended finally. She holds her staff wanting to leave quickly because she has a shift. She tries to walk down the stairs of the classroom when she goes rolling down the few steps until she landed on the floor with her body aching and her eyes shut.
"Look it's the little terrorist so how many people will you kill today?". She heard a man voice as she opens her eyes looking at the class fellow of hers
She looks around to find her teacher quickly leaving the room while other remains watching the show. She holds herself again trying to rush past them when he held onto her scarf trying to rip it off and that's when she snapped. She hits him hard across his chest making him go flying to the wall.
Her eyes hardened as she looks at the man, "Don't ever think about touching me without my permission. Just because I am wearing a piece of cloth doesn't deem me of my rights to consent or any other such rights. I will drag you down if you ever offend me again".
With that, she turns around to leave from the class when she finds Ehtisham grinning at her proudly. He gives her a thumbs up before walking off with a beautiful smile. She smiles to herself running to get the cab to work.
She enters inside from the back door not wanting to confront by Jacob who she knows she waiting impatiently in front for her to come back. She changes from her clothes which were ripped because of the fall and a few scratches on her hand and leg. Thankfully there weren't any big injuries so she took a pain killer medicine and some ointment before changing into the cafe dress code which Jacob had kept modest for her going back to the front.
"ISRA". Jacob said excitedly, "How was it?. Was it fun?. Did you make a friend?. Do I have to break someone face?. Just say the name and I will do it".
"Ah, I think she is perfectly capable of doing that herself". She heard his voice
She turns around to find Ehtisham standing there looking at her.
"And who might you be?". Jacob asked narrowing his eyes at him
But he didn't get affected as he moves to hold his hand out confidently to him, "Perhaps your regular customer".
"I meant to her". Jacob corrected not holding his outstretched hand
"What would I be of yours?". He asked her curiously
She looks between the two men one who is her life support system and one who has recently become her comfort in the dark.
"Maybe my sun".

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
