as his father death still manage to stir within him leaving him no peace and only restlessness. He cannot fathom that he had left them to nothing. That he wouldn't be there when he goes back home. His father wished for him to extend the business to another country hence he had come here to study and further extend his business.

Only to know that his father was no more and he had spent all this time-wasting and not making memories. He came here when he was 18 and ever since he had made his own home here.

He came back after a month of the death of his father.

It's been years since.

Years of suffering and guilt of knowing that he was gone and there will no more guide for him. He walks for hours around the street asking his Lord to ease his heart.

He walks through the unfamiliar street bumping into someone hearing an audible gasp and groan.

"I am so sorry, Sir". He heard a honey-filled voice lacing through his empty soul

His eyes rise to meet the magnificent ones that were looking at him in worry. A pure form of worry and guilt in those eyes. He remains there looking at her eyes.

"Are you ok?. Did I hurt you?. I am so sorry". She said softly bouncing from foot to foot

He stands on his feet shaking his head, "I am just lost you didn't hurt me. I am sorry for bumping into you".

She listens to him intently tilting her head as she looks at him curiously, "We are all lost in this world. We just have to work hard and our best to live through".

"You are lost?". He asked curiously

She laughs a contagious laugh making his heart move to it's rhythm.

"I was. Will, you follow me somewhere?". She asked hopefully

That hope in her eyes didn't allow him to say a word against and he follows her mindless. She stops to look around before she takes the key out unlocking a door entering inside.

"If you think that doing something illegal will give me thrill and peace you are wrong". He said stern

She laughs shaking her head, "I won't have you do something illegal that will only give a thrill for a while and when it washes away there is nothing but emptiness left in you again".

"Then?". He asked

She moves away with a smile turning the lights on after a second. He blinks his eyes adjusting to the light then he looks around and gasps.

It was a gallery.

Not just any it was calligraphy gallery. The Arabic has written on the canvas so delicately that it allures the soul towards it. It was a combination of verses and some quotes on a different canvas.

He walks around feeling the before chilly weather that enters inside him now leaving his body as he roams in the much warmer place. He stops in front of one of the canvas watching the confident long-stroke done to create such a masterpiece.

"What does this say?". He asked as he moves his long finger on the words

He feels her standing beside him looking at the canvas.

"Allah knows what's in every heart". She replied tenderly holding her gaze over the canvas with affection

"Who made this?". He asked wanting to find the person who has worked on this masterpiece

"I did". She said smiling at him

His eyes widen in shock, "You?. Woah. This is so beautiful".

"You like it?". She asked happily

"I loved it". He replied

"Then you can have it". She said taking the canvas off

"But what about payment I don't have my card on-". He started

She shakes her head, "It's a gift from me to you to heal yourself. Then one day maybe you can help me heal too".

"H-How can I?". He said confused

"You never know". She said softly taking the canvas inside to pack

He looks at the other works loving each one of it more than the other.

He did promise her to heal her how does he manage to always break them?.

"What's your name?". She asked coming outside with the brush and the canvas

"Olasyar". He replied softly

"Olasyar". She rolled it on her tongue loving it as she writes his name at one end of the canvas and her name on another side

"What's yours?". He asked as his heartbeat in anticipation

"I am Maisa". She said smiling handing him the work

"You will always be Husna for me". He said making her blush at his words, "Will we meet again?".

"If Allah will". She replied smiling

Then they were parted.

She remembers now. She remembers that canvas she saw in his room was the canvas she gifted him years ago. It was the beginning of her gallery so she wasn't that known and after being known she was just too busy.

"I am sorry I didn't realise". She said sobbing

He moves forward wrapping his hands around her pulling her weeping figure to him.

"It's ok". He said smiling to himself, "We will go buy the equipment you need tomorrow. I want you to have another showcase of your amazing work".

She gasps pulling back, "You do?".

He places his hand on her cheek frowning, "You don't want to?".

"No. It's just Mustafa used to say that he wanted me to do it just for him". She said softly

"I don't. If you want to you can if you don't then don't. Why should I tell you what you should do?". He asked frowning

"Because you are a husband". She said innocently making his heart skip a beat

He gulped, "Exactly! Which mean we are both equal and if you want to show your talent to the world I should help you with it".

She gives him a cute grin making him chuckle.

"We should go now". He said holding her hand as they walk outside

*******

He walks in the same place, not the forest that he always went into and that haunts him every day.

It was the garden- still dead- but the same he had visited his brother in for the first time. He felt some sort of relief to be here.

"Bhai". He heard him finding him smiling at him

"Chote". He replied smiling back happy that he was now smiling at him

"Did you see that?". His brother said asking him to look behind him

He turns around looking at the small flower growing in the dead field slowly and it turns into a beautiful flower soon enough.

"It's beautiful right?". His brother asked from behind him

He nodded.

"I hope you realise that she is no more my wife. You have to accept the fact that you have loved her and your Lord had given you a chance now after you selflessly sacrifice your wishes before". His brother said

He turns around to him as tears brimmed his eyes,"I do love her. I have loved her all these years. But what if you left because of my feeling?. What if it was my nazar (bad eye) that took you away?".

His brother smiles shaking his head, "You have made me a man I was, Bhai. You have already made sure I was fed even if you didn't eat anything. You made me study in best place while I was young you made sure I live my life while you always used to work. It's not wrong to love someone and it was never wrong. You met her before me. Bhai, if she was meant to stay with me forever she would have. We cannot stop, pause or reject death. It is our Lord decision we have no control over. Why do you have to suffer for things that you cannot control?. Just tell me you love her?".

"I do". He replied without hesitation watching him smile

*****

5 days later:

She sits in the room he had built for her in three days for her to work in leaving his own work. He did all of this himself saying that he had to. Some of her amazing works from over the years were all here and he had informed that he always used to come to her every gallery to buy them

Which had made her heartbeat differently?

She has never felt it.

Though Mustafa had loved her and made her heartbeat this time it felt different.

She looks at the empty canvas like she has been since his death playing with the bracelet which Olasyar gave her saying it was his brother gift for her that he couldn't give her.

"Still can't?". He asked entering inside watching her struggle

He doesn't like it.

He had realised that she was the comfort he needed and he was hers. Over the last five days he had insisted she sleeps in his bed because he doesn't want her to be scared and he had stayed awake holding her for hours not wanting her to be scared.

It drains him but it was worth it.

"Not yet". She replied moving a little so he can sit beside her

"How about you teach me?". He asked honestly

She looks taken back and laughs, "You want to learn?".

"I can learn, ok?. I am not that bad". He said childishly crossing his arms over his chest

He had been witnessing these sides of him he had never seen before. But watching her laugh was worth them all.

"No, no. I am sure you can learn. Just Mustafa used to say he doesn't want to learn and just want me to do it for him". She said smiling lightly

"Well, I can do it for you too". He said determinedly

She nodded helping him to do the basics which he fails miserably in for an hour making her laugh every now and then. She stands from her place coming behind him holding his hand to help him but then she turns serious as his hand slip and she takes the brush in a daze as she moves in front of him unconsciously sitting on him as she sketch.

His breathing hitched but he remains still not wanting to break her momentum she has got after so long. He had wished that while she teaches him she starts to do it again. But after a moment he pulls her better on him wrapping his arms around her waist as he watches her use all the colour even using her fingers to add the effects on the words making her hand filling with colour.

But it was a beautiful sight.

She had a smile while she writes the words on the canvas. The shine in her eyes seems surreal and so precious that he promises to protect it till the end.

"Done". She said happily turning around

Her eyes widen as she looks at their position and she moves away from him standing. He pulls her back to stand in between his leg and the sudden action made her colour hand to fall on his neck side colouring it.

She gasps, "I am sorry I didn't do it intentionally".

He looks at it and he didn't really care about it besides the fact that he has her in his hands.

"Doesn't matter". He said tucking a strand of her hair away making her shiver when his finger deliberately caresses her ears

"Can I colour your face then?". She asked excitedly fully expecting him to say no, "I will show Ammi she will laugh".

"Go ahead". He said smiling at her happiness

Her eyes widen but then her inner child asked her to do it. But just as she places her cold hand against his cheek her heart starts to beat rapidly as she becomes conscious of his hands that were around her waist pulling her more to him and how he draws a circle on her back. Her securely she was wrapped in his hands and how he holds her with utmost care. She places her other hand on his other cheek gently as if he was her personal canvas that she had to colour delicately to make it the best of her.

"Finish?". He asked amused watching how intently she does it

She blinks nodding.

"My turn". He smirks making her eyes widen

She struggles against him whining, "No. Why?. I don't want to have colour on me".

He laughs naughtily, "Well, my dear wife I am not going in front of my Ammi looking like a clown when my wife doesn't".

She pouts, "But you gave me permission".

He chuckles lightly as he places his hand on the plate of colour and then moves to place it on her face when she closes her eyes. He tilts his head looking at her intently. Now realising the proximity he is in.

"Open your eyes, Husna". He said hoarsely

She opens her eyes looking at him with the passion matching him. He leans closer towards her wanting to have her taste her had often imagined just to torture himself.

"I-I know you need time to accept me-". He said pulling back from her trying to place his emotions away

She shakes her head placing her hand over his lips, "I have accepted you long ago".

His heart stopped, "What?".

It was barely a whisper like he was scared the moment between them might just break and he will break with it too.

"That day I called you I accepted you that day". She said softly smiling at his shocked expression

She sees his eyes widen and the shock covering his features which make her break into giggling.

"Y-You did?". He asked just to be sure he heard right

"Yes, I did". She said laughing patting his cheeks to assure him he heard right

"You thinks it's fun, Biwi (wife)?". He said ending the distance between them making her stilled in his arms that hold her securely, "I know how I can stop your laughter".

With that, he descends his lips to her like a craving man he had become for her since the day he had seen her he wishes just to be with her but the day he made her his was the day he was exposed to the bigger torture of wanting to feel her and all of her.

He kissed her gently to let her know that he loves her and will always be there for her. Then he kissed her hungrily to tell her how much he had wished for this and then he kissed her delicate caressing her cheeks to let her know that she means the world to him.

******

He remembers he had slept with her in his arms today. The feeling was indescribable and the way his heartbeat in anticipation to know all of her. He never used to walk through this garden with her thoughts. Even when they used to talk about her he never used to think this way.

He walks with much calmer self and enjoying the breeze passing around him. He felt free.

"Bhai Jaan". He heard his brother

He looks ahead of him to find him in his white dress and a beautiful smile on his face. No pain at all. His eyes shine as he looks at him and takes steps towards him.

The moment he passed through the barrier towards him he felt his heart stopped.

"C-Chote". He choked out

"I am so happy". His brother said happily

He pulled his brother into a tight hug as he had wished for all this time.

"I am glad". He replied pulling back

"Never ever guilt yourself again. You have done nothing wrong. I can finally rest in peace, Bhai. She is yours for the rest of your lives. Make it worth it". His brother replied smiling

"I promise". He said smiling watching his fade away

Forever.

*****

He looks at his watch impatiently tapping his foot as he tries his best to contain himself but he was very bad at this clearly.

He sighs once the door opens and now he had to wait for these people to walk in so he can. They were too slow according to him even when they were walking perfectly fine.

He groans frustrated.

The moment he steps inside he felt just like the first time he had entered here. The lights were dim and the scent was sweet making the place looks even more divine. He walks to the first canvas looking at it even when he had looked at all of them for months and each of them being created in front of him. He cannot ever get tired of looking at them.

Some were verses while some remain some words.

He had spent his night sitting with his bewitching wife watching her work on these canvases. She always said he was the source of her work and that with him she can actually sketch these.

Sometimes he finds her in his clothes sitting and sketching somewhere in her own place but he had been fascinated because she spent all that time memorizing each of her features.

He still feels like the same him whose wife accepted him in every way and that has him so excited that he could have shouted to the whole world.

Obviously, his wife didn't allow that.

"Baba Baba Baba". He heard the voice that had his heart swell

He turns around watching his three years old daughter running to him with a beautiful smile gazing her lips similar to that of her mother and he was thankful for that. He wanted his daughter to be like her mother.

"Jee Baba ki Jaan". He said scooping her in his arms

She giggles hiding her face in his chest, "Mama says she is mad at you".

"Is she?". He asked smiling knowing she must be sulking somewhere, "Baba has to go to Mama to make her happy so be a good girl and stay with Dadi Jaan, ok?".

She nodded her head as he sends her off with his mother not before kissing both their forehead.

As he walks to find her in this gallery his mind went back to years when he first met her and used to be around her in shadow just to have a glimpse of her. Then a few years later his brother informed him that he wanted to marry her he couldn't object it because he knew his brother would break down. He went with it and stopped himself altogether. He never once looked at her face even when his brother asked him many times he rejected it because it felt wrong. He maintained himself as far from her as possible.

He halts in front of one of the canvases she had spent the whole night on. He remembers her eyes shining the same way they had shined years back when they have created a piece together- it was just her but anyway they made it.

He walks inside nervously because today is her gallery opening again. He looks around amazed to find so many people looking at her work appreciating her.

He stops in front of the same canvas he had asked the meeting from her but never once she told him.

"Allah creates pairs". She said admiring the canvas, "That's what it means".

However, she hasn't told him the meaning of this canvas either.

"He places love in hearts". She whispers standing beside him

He didn't turn watching the soft stroke she has used to write those words.

"We are not taking it home, Olasyar".

"But Husna-". He whined

"No". She said with finality

He always wants all her work at their home and he had already taken so many of them placing them all over the house.

He sighs.

"Heard you were mad at me". He said chuckling

"Oh yes, I forgot". She said starting to leave but he hold her hand pulling her back to him

"Kyun naraz hai meri biwi (why is my wife mad at me)?. Us ki narazgi bardasht nhi hoti mujh se ( I can't bear her being mad at me)". He said tucking a strand of her hair away

Even after all these years, his love seems to be growing every single day. He had done everything to cherish her and make her happy.

She was happy.

It was hard to accept his love at first but she had resided in her Lord decision for her. She had loved him as her husband and given him all rights with it.

It was hard not to fall for such a beautiful man.

He had loved her for years. He had showed that every minute they spent together.
