She said as tears strained her beautiful face

He exited his brand new car he had bought from exclusive collection walking inside his villa with his bag in his hand.

His stepped halted as the no-life villa greeted him yet again. Once, this place was filled with so many noises he loved to hear, now it's just him and emptiness.

He asked his house worker to leave him alone as he walked inside his room increasing his temper even more. The feeling in his heart seems to be there even after years. But, he couldn't just allow himself to accept that she left him for the thing he worked for so hard.

Wasn't this what she wanted?.

He had asked this question probably every second of the day that passes by increasing his chance of not having her back and her slipping away from him.

They promised to get old together.

How come those promises were broken so easily?. How can she just walk out of him?. Why did she leave him?.

He throws the vase on the mirror where her image in that same mirror she used to stand in front of every single day of them living together appeared.

"You cannot keep doing this to yourself". His friend said sitting on the chair in front of him looking at his distraught appearance

He used to be well maintained once and he used to be someone who used to take care of his image in front of everyone and wanting to be known was now sitting in one of the best offices with nothing that is actually valuable.

"You don't understand. Every second of my life I think of her". He said frustrated, "No matter how much I try she is everywhere. She is within me".

"Why did you let her go?". His friend asked

He stopped.

He looked at his friend frowning, "Do you know what she meant by....?".

His friend shrugged, "Instead of failing to erase her try thinking from that sharp brain as to why she left. What was valuable to her and not you".

He holds her frame looking in her beautiful eyes thinking about the questions that are being thrown at him with no answer or even a source he can understand from.

In his years of education, he was granted the top student every year without a pause beside when she came in and took that position. He used to be so angry at her but then he couldn't stay angry with someone like her.

But, now, even that sharp brain is not of any help. Each day, he is drifting farther and farther away from the motive he had set for himself and no matter how much he tries to grasp the situation.

The void stays.

"Why is the owner not accepting the deal?". He said narrowing his eyes at his employee, "I know we offered a generous amount and everyone sell their property in a minute to us. Then, why are you not able to do it?".

"S-Sir, she said something is more valuable than money". His employee said

His heart clenched.

"You shouldn't be running after money that will not stay".

He dismissed his employee after he decided he will deal with the owner of that bakery himself. He needs that land to build his first-class mall that is on hold because of it. Its a multi-billion project with so much to it.

He paced around angrily thinking of a solution to have the owner accept his offer but the owner had already rejected all the offers on the table. How can someone reject such a large amount of money?.

He stood in front of the bakery for some reasons his previous anger was not there anymore it was replaced with a different kind of feeling like fear and anxiousness. There was something in the bakery that looked too familiar yet so different. Why does it seem like that?.

He stepped forward as the signed for closed was placed. He opened the door walking inside to the smell of fresh bread and more.

"I am sorry, we are closed now". He heard the voice he had longed to hear

His stepped halted.

His heart stopped.

There was no moment beside the small sound of a step that was made by her shoes coming closer to her. He watched as she walked out of the kitchen looking at some paper in her hand and he could still tell she was the same woman he knew.

Her face was like a soft feather that he used to love to touch. She would often push him away when he wouldn't stop caressing it. Her light brown hair still bounces around her like a curtain.

She was still the same.

She raised her head and her eyes fell on the person she hadn't seen so close to her for years. His eyes accused her still the same way they did years ago.

Her heart clenched.

The paper in her hands fell on the floor that broke their trance. He blinked his eyes while she collected her papers in her hand holding them tightly for support.

"What do you want?". She asked confused

Because as far as she knows he is not the one who chase anyone no matter how much pain he may be in.

He looked at her for a moment, "I-I was here for some bread?".

She frowned, "You came all the way to another town for bread?".

"Yeah, someone asked me to do". He said irritated and not wanting to be caught

"As I said, we are closed". She said shrugging

He bites his lips not wanting the smile to appear at her fierce side he had never seen before.

"I don't care. I came all the way to another town just to have bread and you are telling me you are not serving!?". He said crossing his arms over his chest

Even though his heart aches to look at her after this long he couldn't be happier to finally look at the person he wanted to after so long.

She looked down thoughtfully playing with her hair and he knows she would be thinking real hard about his words. She always used to take his words very seriously.

"Yes, I am not serving". She said firm

Or maybe she had actually changed.

His face fell and her heart clenched, "It's just a bread why are not giving me one?".

"I don't care. I have something to do so you can leave and come back later or not". She said turning around walking away

But before she can step farther away from her he holds her hand pulling her back to face him.

"Just give me the bread". He said trying to be angry

She glared at him trying to push him off, "No, I will not".

"Why are so stubborn?". He asked softly looking in her beautiful eyes

"Why are you so stubborn?. I am the owner and I said no". She said

His eyes widen at her words. He stepped back leaving her hand still looking at him.

"Y-You are the owner?". He asked again

She frowned rubbing her hand, "Yes, I am. Why?. You didn't think I can do something on my own?".

Even she knew her words cut through his heart but the more he stays the more she wishes he would stay.

"No, that's not what I meant. I just....". He said trailing off in his own thoughts

That means he was trying to bargain with a woman he wanted for years and already knew she will decline every offer. Now, he knows, why the owner wasn't agreeing.

"Nothing". He said closing her mouth before she can question

She shrugged, "Ok, now you can leave".

"What if I don't want to?". He asked moving closer to her as she stepped back

"That is your problem. Not mine". She said glaring at him, "You are wasting my time so kindly leave".

"You are still so polite even when you are trying to be mean". He said closing the gap between them

"I am not anything you are saying". She said firm

"You are right. Maybe a little different but still the same". He said softly

"Leave, Ibrahim". She said

His heart skipped a beat listening to his own name from her mouth.

"Why are in such hurry to leave?". He asked keeping his excitement

"I-". She started

"Ammi Jaan". They heard someone say

He turned around looking at a child standing in front of him. He looked around for who the kid belong to until she ran towards the woman he was standing with.

She hugged her, "Ammi (mother)".

His heart stopped as he whispers,"Ammi?"
