again and he just couldn't stop. Today, when he dropped her he forgot to tell her about him picking her and he wasn't sure if a message will look appropriate so he decided to simply wait outside her school before the time for the final bell.
He had been waiting for almost two hours now.
He forgot to ask her off time so he just stands there waiting for her. It wasn't unpleasant like he thought he might be it was exciting.
He watched her walking outside but then someone stopped her. That someone who stopped her was actually a boy and she was speaking to him. At first, he wanted to punch him but then he watched how she deals with it. It was fun watching her speaking to him barely for a moment then she turned around to leave.
He walked in her direction standing in front of her that she knocked into him. She looked at him wide eyes not believing he was here then confused.
"Safa". Mahr said
"Is there something wrong?". She asked
He shrugged, "No, I just wanted to pick you. I was planning on telling you but I forgot".
She nodded merely liking that he had come and today especially him being different and taking steps towards her.
"Do you want to eat lunch outside?". He asked as they sat in their seats
"You and I?". She asked not sure
He nodded, "Yes, you and I. Do you want someone else?".
"No, you and I are fine". She said smiling
She was content with his little approach towards her in the past week. He would come home soon and actually talks to her about her interest and share his. She found he was just like her she had to mature to save herself in her father's house and she never had unrealistic fantasies about men or anything in general. All she was focused on was surviving and art.
"I have a party tomorrow. It will be kind of introducing you to everyone in my world I hope you are comfortable with that?". He asked as he sat beside her on the couch
"Yeah, that is fine". She said smiling
She was nervous and the dress he had chosen was actually pretty. Her stepmother had only chosen the worst clothing for her. She had to wear them to her school already she didn't wish to embarrass herself at his party.
When he suggested she could wear a dress he had chosen when he went to the mall she gladly accepted and she did look good. She walked downstairs with her heart beating as she stands behind him.
He had been trying to learn about her and to work on improving their relationship. He did regret that he had wasted almost two months pushing her away for someone who wasn't even important.
He turned around to find her standing in front of him and his heart stopped for a second. She looked beautiful even more than words.
"Safa, you look gorgeous". He said smiling and she smiled back
They walked inside the ravishing party she wasn't sure how she needed to act but the glare she started receiving from her entry told her she needed to have her back now. He introduced her to some of his colleagues and she felt nice each time he would call her his wife.
"This is my friend, Zeeshan and this is my wife, Safa". He said smiling
She looked at Zeeshan smiling and he smiled back as he steps forward, "Bhabhi, it's so good to finally see you".

She smiles, "I heard about you".
"From him?. I could tell it was all lies". Zeeshan said laughing and she chuckles
After a few more minutes, she was surrounded by some of the richest people who were speaking nonsense at least for her since she wasn't interested.
"So, that painting was by Madonna Marlin and-". One of the rich ladies gushed
"You mean Madonna Hampshire?". She asked politely
The woman glared at her, "What do you even know about her?".
"She was born in Germany in 1875 and then she moved to England for further studies. She wasn't interested in studies so she pursued her career in arts. Do you want me to tell you her personal details?". She asked smiling
"You know about the painting?". One of his colleagues asked
She nodded grinning, "Yes, the painting was her very first painting. She started her painting career after leaving a prestige university so she was confused, scared and lonely on her path. She drew that picture that represents all of her fears and thoughts that time". She explained
"You know a lot about painting do you do it?". Someone asked
She turned around to find the person and it was the daughter of Madonna's who had her most recent painting.
"Yeah, I draw a few things". She said softly
"That's all that matter. My mother used to randomly draw stuff and say that the best ones come to her randomly". Madonna's daughter laughed
She smiled.
The conversation proceeds and this time it was all about art and it's passion. Mahr looked at his wife impressed by the way she stands for what she knows and the way she spoke for herself. He smiled looking at her eyes shining each time someone mentions anything about art. He had not a proper idea of much she likes it since she dodges the question about them but he was happy to find how deeply she was connected to it.
"How is my daughter doing?". She heard her father voice halting her laughter
She turned to her father and beside her was her stepmother who was the person behind her years of suffering. She had always made sure that Safa comes out as a brat who wasn't good enough for anything. She could feel her judging eyes on her.
"I hope she isn't a trouble?. She tends to be one sometimes actually all the time. I had to work so hard to keep her in check". Her stepmother said
Her face fell.
"Maybe, you should have checked your own daughter then she wouldn't have ran away. Isn't that right, aunt?". Riva said cutting in their conversation
She saw how her stepmother eyes filled with anger as she walked away and she turned to smile at her friend hugging her.
"What are you doing here?". She asked
"Same old boring party my father dragged me to". Riva said waving her hand to not discuss the topic
She chuckles, "I still wonder why he does that".
"Oh, you know why. He is obsessed with the idea". Riva replied referring to her father finding a groom for her in these party
"It's not that bad". She teases
Riva narrowed her eyes at her but before she can say Zeeshan cut in, "Who is this?".
"Who are you?". Riva said before Safa could actually say something
"I need to speak to you". Her stepmother said from behind while Riva and Zeeshan were going back and forth
She nodded weakly following her a little farther.
"What are you wearing?. I brought you so many clothes and this is what you wear?". Her stepmother as they were in a distance

Mahr's eyes followed her as she walked away with her mother. He saw her saying something and then she looked down at her clothes. But, as she looked down the drink in her mother hand fell on her.
"Why did you do that?". She asked shocked
"Simple. I love embarrassing you. Now, this strain will do my job". Her stepmother said
"Hold on! Why is she with that woman?". Riva said holding her fight with Zeeshan as she saw her friend walking towards the restroom
"That woman is her mother". Mahr said
"Oh, no, mother are nowhere like that woman". Riva replied
Mahr and Zeeshan shared a confused look but Riva's father called her causing her to groan as she moved she turned around one last time looking at Mahr.
"Keep her away from her parents". She said walking away
Zeeshan looked at the woman walking away towards her father and then her father introducing her to some men. His fist clenched for some reasons as he saw the man who she was speaking. He was no good man he was just after the girl for a few of his personal reasons. He decided he had to take her away from him so he walked towards her bumping into her.
Riva looked at Zeeshan annoyed but a little relieved that he had saved her from having talked with the man her father had made her to. But, she wouldn't tell that to him so she glared at him walking to her father. While, Zeeshan smiled to himself walking back to Mahr.
"I saw that". Mahr teases but he ignored him
She walked outside after being done with cleaning and drying with the hand dryer machine. Fortunately, she can also cover with her scarf so it wasn't an issue. She bumped into someone and she looked at her art teacher.
"Sir, you here?". She asked smiling
Zeeshan pointed Mahr to his wife who was speaking to some man older than her.
"Yes, it's a charity party so I came with my wife". He replied, "Did you see your email?".
She frowned shaking her head, "No, I didn't have time for a while. Why?".
"You should check it". He said but someone called her so he started talking to him
She turned around taking her phone and going to her email. Her heart stopped when she found the email about her acceptance in the best university for arts. She squeals looking at the screen and trying to find her friend to share the news.
Mahr saw her eyes lit up and the beautiful smile on her face as she looked at her phone screen.
"You saw that, right?". Her teacher asked and she smiles nodding, "Did you see the other mail?".
She frowns shaking her head as she looked down at her phone again. Her eyes widen when she saw the acceptance from the university her father had asked her to apply to.
"Why are you talking to him, Safa?. I thought I told you to not go to art classes anymore". Her father said
Her face pale.
She turned around looking at her father scared. She stepped back. She saw her teacher wife joining him.
Her teacher looked at her scared face knowing her father had done something, "Sir, I was just asking her how she was since she doesn't come to my class".
She wanted to breathe again. With that email, everything went in vain. She wasn't sure how she will escape this and what she will do. But, she wanted to leave this hall.
Mahr saw the look on her face and he stepped forward when he saw her walking towards the hall door but before she could leave he saw her father holding her hand turning her around.
She turned around to her father shutting her lips to not let out a cry of pain when her father holds her hand tightly.
"Please, leave me". She said struggling
"No, you will not speak to that man again". Her father said angrily
She tried to push his hand off her hands but he wouldn't let her. She wanted to run away from this place. Just as her thoughts started breaking her she feels someone placing a hand over her father hand removing it. She looked at her husband holding her hand in his hand pushing her behind him.
"My wife and I are leaving". He stated without any more words he pulled her with him away from everyone
They entered the house and he hadn't disturbed her the whole time mostly because he couldn't believe it himself. The way her own father behaved with her. The way he holds her hand was angering him more and more. He thought that she was just as precious to them as her older sister.
Her parents used to always show her sister as a princess and that they wish her to be treated the same way. How she was a goddess and more. He had never even heard about Safa until the day of marriage.
They were hiding the gem.
He saw her face pale each second that she spends with her father and he didn't like that. He knew he had to stop whatever that was. He saw her walking silently towards the stairs but he holds her hand gently pulling her to the lounge couch. He made her sit and went away coming back with the first aid kit.
He sat in front of her handing her a glass of water and taking the hand her father had held in his. Gently he removes the clothing pulling it up to see the red marks on her skin. His jaw clenched as he applied a little medicine.
He knew she had a long night and didn't want to pressure her with his own thoughts so he allowed her to go to her room.
"You cannot allow him to rule over you again". Riva said angrily as they entered the house
It's been a week after that. She had received both of her letters from her teacher and she was holding her arts accepting letter while her friend speaks.
Mahr had seen her stressing most of the time that they spend together. He had come from his meeting because he left his file and Zeeshan joined him because he didn't have anything to do. They were on the stairs, not in Safa and Riva view, but they were coming down when they heard them and stopped.
"You don't understand, Riva, he will make me do it". She said sadly
"No, you cannot do it again. Not on your dream, Safa. I will not allow this". Riva said angrily, "Had he ever cared for you since birth?. He left you to feed for yourself and barely ever take part in anything in your life. My parents raised and protected you throughout your time. All your stepmother, father and stepsister did was torture you. They ruled over you for years, you are free now, Safa. Please, do not do this".
"What is she talking about?". Her father asked
Her heart stopped.
She hides the letter behind her looking at her father.
"N-Nothing". She replied
"No, no, I am sure she was on something. What are you hiding behind you?". He asked stepping closer as she steps back
"It's nothing". She said quickly
She saw his eyes turning in anger as he ordered, "Show me".
"Safa-". Riva started but was cut off
"Shut up. I have heard you speak about me already I don't want you interfering in between us". Her father said angrily
She stepped back but he snatched the letter out of her hands.
He reads the letter smirking at her, "It's an acceptance letter why are you hiding it?".
"Please, don't". She begged
"You were actually thinking about applying here?". He asked laughing, "This is of no use. You will do as I say".
"Safa, tell him you won't or I will end our friendship". Riva warned
Her heart stopped.
"Riva,I-". She started but was cut off
"What will you do?". Her father asked smirking
She looked at the ground not saying anything.
"I cannot believe you wouldn't fight for yourself. I am out of here". Riva said walking away
Safa walked to stop her but her father held her hand pushing her to the ground. Just as she hit the ground she saw her husband coming down and Zeeshan running outside.
"What are you doing?". Mahr asked angrily
"Ending this". Her father said tearing her letter in pieces throwing it at her
Her heartbreaks.
Not even a single word escapes her mouth as she saw her father walking away shutting the door. Mahr bends down holding her closer to his heart to provide some comfort.
She pushed him a little and he looked down at her broken eyes, "There is somewhere I want to take you".
He looked at her entering the hospital even people greeting her like she was a regular here. He walked behind her following her as she entered a room at the very end of the corridor.
He saw an older woman laying there sleeping and machines were attached to her from everywhere.
He frowned, "Who is this?".
She sighs, "My Mother".
