《The Tales of love- I》6.3:"Game"

Five months when she had her heart broken that day. The day she found that her husband, no, her fake husband had played a game with her in order to have Neil to himself.
She still chuckles at the thought that the same day she found about her baby. The day was filled with happiness for her to have a child with her husband was a dream she used to think would never come true as her parents had told her so.
They used to use all means to take Neil back one was to have her marry someone not right so she might push Neil away to save him.
She sighs placing a hand on her grown stomach which started to show now. She had been working a lot more now trying her best to do better than last time. She had to quit her last job because with a child it was too much to handle.
Instead, she had managed to find a good company which pays well.
Her husband, he had left the house a week after she came back and kicked him out. He wasn't willing and begging her but she paid no mind she was hurt to think. That day she found her husband sister words still haunts her.
"You married her to have Neil's custody now that you have it why are you with her?. Take Neil and marry the woman I choose for you".
She didn't even wait to hear what he had to say about his words. She screamed and accused him. He didn't say anything.
Neil's father was in jail already so she was a little less panicked to stay in her own house but sometimes she is scared to live here. She doesn't show because she doesn't really have anyone to show her moods, craving or suffering.
She had been secretly enduring, like always.
Neil was her life, thankfully, her husband hadn't acted in the last five months and she had been scared to death each night with a nightmare of them taking him from her. She wouldn't have anyone to live for then.
She will be more broken.
Now, she sees his brother in him (Amir). His brother was at least not that close to her to broke her this much but Amir took every last bit she had saved of her. Her dignity.
Amir,
If someone asked him if he had ever done something wrong in his life it would be hurting his own life for people who never cared. He had tried to put it all past them, he had tried to end his guilt of not being able to protect her.
His sister lied.
All his attention when marrying her was to keep Neil save with her. He felt that his brother attitude was not right when he saw how he would move around. He didn't even get to say anything and watching her almost die made it harder to speak. She went away.
Five months, that how long he had been away from his own happiness. He had been living but not really. He doesn't sleep because her broken eyes from that haunt him. He couldn't eat a single meal without thinking how because of him being insensitive she had missed so many meals probably now too which pains him.
He had been delusional and he had hurt his own wife. The one he should have cherished. He had done a few things for her like pay her doctor visit fees, a new job and a few more. But, it doesn't lessen his guilt or pain he lives in each day.

"You look bad, beta (son)". His mother said
He does.
He hadn't shaved, eaten or done anything for himself all he did was drown in self-loathing.
He didn't speak to anyone he had to hold his sister back from taking Neil. That unfaithful day when she heard everything was planned by his sister. She knew they were having a child and so she chooses that day to break her. She wanted Neil because Ayesha had placed her brother in Jail.
He cannot believe a woman and a mother could do something hideous to another. But, he had obviously underestimated (after his own brother was a murderer) his own family. He hadn't spoken to anyone and blackmailed them enough to stop them from going to Ayesha.
He wouldn't want her more hurt especially when she is carrying their child all alone. He wanted this experience this with her and to do everything for her. All he does is, look at her from far all day. Even on the hottest day, he would stand outside his car looking at Neil school in far where she always stands alone waiting for him.
Today, he saw how visible her stomach was now. He had missed so much and the hurt only increases. Maybe, he had also lost the chance to ever be a part of his own child life. Neil hates him he had made that clear that same day she heard everything. Obviously, Neil had no idea what happened but he had seen his Khala cried and shouted at Amir for hurting her again.
His heart broke.
He hurt two innocent souls and third who might even not know about him. He watched Neil running towards her and she bends down slowly kissing his forehead then they started walking. Thankfully, her house wasn't that far from Neil's school but the grocery bags that were in her hands seems heavy. He wanted to carry them for her since she was struggling but he couldn't.
He watched Neil running into the house but she stopped abruptly. The bags in her hands fell on the ground and a small cry escapes her lips as she holds her stomach in pain.
His heart stopped.
Her doctor had told her that her health was not that good. She holds herself as much as she could but eventually, she had to sit on her front stairs to allow the pain to subside. She holds her head as the tears escape her eyes all the fears coming back at her. She cannot lose this child. She just can't. Which made her cry even harder.
"Khala, are you ok?". She heard his voice as he ran towards her
She clear her face looking at his worried eyes looking down at her. She smiles a fake smile nodding her head since she still has pain.
"I will be fine".
"I will pick these things and take them in. Don't worry, Khala, you will be fine". Neil said running to place all the grocery inside and collecting the fallen
She looked at the sky collecting her thoughts and then looked back down only to look at the pair of eyes she hadn't forgotten even after painful five months. He was too far from her but he felt so near. She ran inside shutting the door behind her sliding down as she cried some more.
He watched the whole scene happening as he remained in pain but it was nothing like the pain in her eyes. He could physically feel her pain and he knows he had to do something, anything but allowing the months to past and his chances to ask for forgiveness to go away.

He knew what he had to do so he had come to meet his partner who will or will not help him.
"Neil, I am sure you know that Ayesha is in pain?" He said nervously
He couldn't meet him anywhere else so he had asked his teacher to arrange a meeting for him.
Neil looked at him angrily, "It's all because of you. She always cries at night even in the day and she is in a lot of pain".
Amir looked down guilty," I know I am sorry for hurting her but I need your help to stop her pain".
He knew the day she had kicked her out her first words when they were face to face were, I will never give you Neil.
He should have worked on the plan beforehand but maybe she needed space more. Now, he would not allow his wife or his children's to remain broken. He will fix them all no matter how long it takes.
The next day, he had gone home and the nervousness wasn't going away. He wasn't even nervous before why is he now?.
She opened the door looking at him wide eyes just as she was about to close the door she heard the words she had been dreading.
"I want to talk about Neil". He said
She closes her eyes wishing him to go away but he didn't so now they are sitting in their living room waiting for each other to speak.
"I will not allow Neil anywhere near you or your family".
He closes his eyes looking at the pain in her eyes clenching his fist he opened his eyes again, "Then, you will have to take me back in here".
The world stopped.
She allowed her mind to slowly register his words which were absolutely ridiculous.
"What do you want now from me?. Wasn't what you did enough to let me live in peace now?". She asked broken
She wasn't living in peace. She was just enduring and surviving, barely.
He wanted to say that but it could also turn back on him. So, he just said what he had to that either he takes Neil away or be a part of his life by staying in the house. She had no choice but to agree to his condition. Neil cannot go back to the place she had lost her everything for. His happiness means all to her and Amir was like his second father (even better) she wouldn't want the absence of him from Neil life because she was hurt.
Next day, he was back in the house as much as she didn't want him to. She had tried to avoid him but she couldn't no matter what for exactly a week or more. But, he was everywhere even in her doctor appointment.
"Ayesha, do you want our child to get hurt?". He asked as they were done with their appointment
She sighs.
She didn't want him to hear that her health wasn't good. She was trying her best already. It just seems impossible to gain her health back. She obviously wanted to have her health back to save her child but she wasn't sure how.
She nodded not wanting to speak to him and she hasn't in the period he stayed with her.
"You need to start eating more especially healthy food and rest. You cannot do your job until the delivery". He said cautiously
Her eyes narrowed at his words, "I shouldn't work so that after this game is over I have no money too. Then, I might even have to beg you-".
"Ayesha". He said to stop her from saying all those words which break him
"What?. Now, you will ask me to stop talking too?. What is this game?. Why are you here?. Will, you take both my children from me?". She asked crying
"All I want is for you to forgive me once, just once. Please, you don't have to do anything just one chance for me to do it all right, Ayesha, please. Let me expalin what happened". He begged sincerely
She never answered him.
"No. You hurt me. You hurt Neil. And you-".
"I didn't do it". He said trying to hold her hand which she pulled away glaring at him, "My sister lied. She lied about everything. I never married you to take Neil away. I married you to keep him safe. I promise, it wasn't me".
"I don't trust you". She snapped
His heart hurt, "I will keep doing my best until you accept my heart".
Then on, it was Amir taking over major roles. He woke earlier than her to cook all of the breakfast and her breakfast always consisted of healthy food which she tries to ignore and eat Neil's food instead but she had to end up eating her own food.
She left her job for her child she couldn't afford the thought of losing her first child. It had paranoid her enough to have nightmare each night she cannot afford it by any means. She noticed in a single month which means she was six months now she was closer and spend more time with Neil. Even when he was always her priority she had missed a lot because of her work.
Neil needed her the same he needed her to sit with her when their time was not marked. He wanted to be free with her knowing she will not be tired because of him. He was happier so was she.
She ignored her husband most of the time and he looked hurt. She didn't care about him because his sister words stayed in her mind.
She noticed she had gained some extra weight besides the child because of her healthy diet. Her skin was glowing so was her face. The only problems remain was her fear of her own husband and Neil been taken.
Which had woken her yet again with a nightmare of Neil being taken from her. She removes the cover hastily walking faster towards Neil's room. She opened the room and find him sleeping peacefully. She leaned on the door closing her eyes as she relaxes that he was here with her no matter what.
Her husband had been different? She wasn't sure he was more caring and his small touch flutter her heart a little more than before maybe because they were genuine or maybe because this was the first time he had touched her innocently. His eyes followed her at all time and took over each of her work even in the house. Bringing grocery, cooking, cleaning and anything.
Of course, she would roam around the garden or have walked by her own (which she hadn't done in a long time) on the side road. Sometimes, she even visits malls and places she had missed because deep down she knows he was there.
Maybe to stay longer.
"You will never trust me again, right?". His broken voice said
Maybe she was starting to trust him again.
