contacted his man to gather information about Ayesha activities. It will take a week for them to find the information but since he had already spent this much time he could bear a week.

So, he had decided not to go anywhere this whole week and had his son take leave too.

Hamza wasn't coming close to him after the whole scene but Hania told him to be respectful so Hamza had sat with his broken family displaying he was a part of it. He was a part but not by heart. His heart remained with his mother (Hania) who hadn't eaten much for a long time.

Khizar had tried speaking to his son and asking him question which he had replied with a few words. He wasn't even interested clearly as his eyes remained on the stairs like he was waiting or looking for someone.

Hania.

His son was looking for her while being in his real mother presence. He remembers his mother telling him the children hearts are pure and they can see the good and bad in a person. He was sure his son was clever and he knows more than him, for now.

He looked at his wife who was busy typing on her phone like always with a frown on her face. She never liked him asking about who she was talking to as she says he was doubting her so he remained quiet.

Now, even he was looking at the stairs unconsciously. He wanted to have her tasty lunch instead of his wife ordered food. Unfortunately, only his son had that privilege and he saw his son eating half of it and hiding the other half while looking at his mother (Ayesha) who was busy on her phone.

Once, they were done, well, he didn't eat because he didn't like the food he allowed his son to go away from him knowing he wasn't happy about this and forcing him would do no good.

But, as his wife, walked away to speak to someone privately. His steps started taking him towards the door of his son room. He opened the door enough to see inside and he saw his son taking Hania's hand who was doing cleaning making her sit on the bed and then opening his hand full of food in front of her.

"Beta (son), I told you that you have to eat it all". Hania said stern

"Meri piyari piyari Ammi Jaan (my sweet sweet mother, my life), you never eat food at all and I know she had stopped you from eating so I have to bring you food. I told you I will protect you". Hamza said smiling at her

She had tears in her eyes but nodded as he saw Hamza feeding her. Once done, she kissed his forehead thanking him and then Allah.

He felt something on his cheeks and he saw that he was crying at the scene. He let the mother-son duo enjoy while he went to spend time with his mother.

Once his mother slept happily he walked with a smile back to his room. Just as he neared he heard shouting and his steps hurried.

He saw his wife (Ayesha) holding Hania by her hairs, "I told you to stay away from him and you even use my son to gain sympathy. Do you think he will listen to you?. I told you you were a worthless piece of shit who no one will love. Why don't you just die?".

His breathing stopped.

"Please, please, hurt me Hamza didn't do anything". Hania begged, "Hamza, go quickly and hide in the washroom, beta (son), don't come out".

He saw Hamza crying as he did what he was asked hesitating at first but the pleading of her convinced him to move away.

Ayesha throws her away holding something as she looked down at her, "You are right about one thing. Why should I hurt my son when I have you?".

He heard Ayesha menacingly laughing and his eyes widen when he saw the same bat Hania had offered him yesterday. He saw Ayesha not even hesitating and swinging hit hard on her.

A scream broke through Hania's lips as she cried in pain and he heard Hamza crying and begging from behind the closed door to his mother (Ayesha).

But as she swings another one his foot started moving near her (Hania) and before Ayesha could hurt her again he holds her hand throwing the bat away from her hand and pushing her away.

He wrapped his hands around the trembling body of Haina pulling her closer to him tightly.

"What are doing, Ayesha?". He yelled angrily

Ayesha eyes widen as she thought he was not home but she recovered quickly, "You are defending her. I was just teaching her manner her parents never taught her".

"Get out". He yelled angrily

"My parents didn't do anything. They are no more". He heard her crying in his chest

His heart-break.

He heard the opening of the door and saw his son walking towards him a little scared as he saw his father and mother (Hania) together.

"You saved her, Abbu (father)". Hamza said sitting in front of him smiling

It was the first time he smiled and called him Abbu (father).

Hamza looked at his mother (Hania), "Ammi (mother)".

Hania looked at him with a broken smile,"Mera beta (my son)".

That was all she said when she passed out in his arms. Hamza started crying and he tried waking her but she wasn't responding. His heart started beating loudly as he carried her to their car with Hamza and Ayesha with him.

The whole time he kept holding her close to him even Ayesha asked to throw her away but he sends her a glare which shut her off. Hamza kept calling his mother (Hania) but she never responded.

They reached the hospital and she was taken to the ICU while he holds Hamza in his hand to comfort him in some ways himself too.

"Why are you being so dramatic she is just acting". Ayesha said rolling her eyes

"She is hurt because of you and is being treated in an emergency because of you". Khizar yelled angrily

Ayesha stepped back scared of his anger as she had never seen him like this before.

They remained in their seats with broken hearts and hope to pray for her. Hamza and Khizar prayed (namaz) together for Allah to send her back to their lives again. They couldn't live without her being in it. Crying all through their prayer.

"Mr. Khizar". The doctor said coming out of the room and Khizar ran to him, "Can we speak privately?".

Khizar nodded handing Hamza to Jamil and walking towards the doctor as they walked inside where she was. He looked at her laying with few bandages around her. Her face was even paler than before.

"I don't know if you know she had been in and out of the hospital a lot of time". The doctor said

His eyes widen as he looked at the doctor, "What?".

The doctor nodded sadly asking him to sit since it will be a long talk. He sat on the stool beside her holding her hand in his which were too cold and he wanted to send some warmth from his.

"She had been in this hospital for the first time when she was around 8 I have seen her report which showed that she was being abused badly but she never said anything about the people or her family she lived with. I came to know her parents died in a car accident and then she was given to her paternal uncle who abused her with his family also he took all her property when she turned 18 and married her off to you. I am not sure why you marry her but she had been coming to the hospital almost regular and after being married to you she was here when she has severely damaged a few days ago where she lost her ability to be a mother". The doctor paused allowing him to disgust the information

His heart stopped, "S-She can't be a mother?".

The doctor nodded, "Yes, she can't be. She was hurt and her body was weak so it affected her ability. She is malnutrition, abused and overworked which had caused her many injuries. She needs to be taken care of or she won't live for long".

she won't live for long.

That hit his heart so hard that he thought he would die before her.

"No, please, you have to save her". He begged to look at the doctor

"We have been saving her for a long time. She needs someone besides the doctor. It is time that you save her, Sir". The doctor said walking away

He looked at her face for the longest hour having his heartbreaking every minute. He walked away when the doctor said they will be shifting her and he needed to go to Hamza since he had been crying all this time.

Hamza ran in his arms wrapping his arms around him.

"Ammi (mother) will be fine?". He asked crying

"Just pray, beta (son)". He said sadly

Hamza nodded praying to Allah to give her health. Khizar took Hamza hand taking him outside.

"Beta (son), can you tell me everything and why you call Hania Ammi?". He asked softly brushing his hair away from his beautiful face

Hamza sniffed, "Ammi (Hania) had been taking care of my everything. She sleeps with me, take care of me and she loves me. She teaches me everything about Islam and respecting everyone. Ayesha always hurt her and beat her because of me or anything. She didn't let her eat food, sit on the table or leave the house. Ammi does all the housework and still, she beats her every day, Abbu (father). Why?. She is so nice then why?. You know Ammi always cries alone at night in the washroom. She always put a hand over her mouth so I can't hear but I always hear Abbu (father). She always cries and hides the pain from me. Why?".

He patted his back as few tears leave his own eyes he looked at the dark sky sending a quick prayer for her health, "Sometimes Allah tests his best souls the most".

With that, it's been two days and she hadn't opened her eyes once. He remained by her side and praying all this time. It felt better to be able to connect to his lord again. And to watch his own son praying so well and his strong faith in Allah had him surprised and pleased.

He hadn't seen Ayesha but he was informed the information was almost completed. His heart already was fighting for Hania and against Ayesha. He knows the truth already just wanted to see how more deep it could get.

He wanted Hania to be awake so he can apologise and fight for her which he hadn't done for a long time.

"Ammi, Ammi (mother)". Hamza yelled looking at Hania

He saw her heart monitor changing and pressed the button to call the doctor while he holds her hand tightly as she opens her eyes. His heart almost stopped beating as she looked at him without any emotions.

"Hamza, don't cry". She said hoarsely

He had her bed change so she can sit handing her water so she can speak better. Hamza hugged her tightly crying in her chest. The doctor checked her thoroughly and informed she was good to leave now with some high potency medicine to have her health back.

"Hamza, beta (son), can you leave us alone?". Khizar said

Hamza nodded but he didn't miss the fear that she had in her eyes and his heart clench. As Hamza closed the door he sat in a good distance so he could speak without scaring her more.

"Hania". This was the first time he took her name and her heartbeat at how deep his voice was which had her eyes connect to his immediately, "I don't know what to say you have been through a lot because of Ayesha and I had no idea about any of it. I brought you in my Nikah but never did any duties that I had promised. I failed and I don't know if my apology will ever heal your wound. But, I want you to know that from today you have me by your side to fight everyone and you are not alone anymore. I will not allow anyone to hurt you more and please allow me a chance to be a better husband and show you all of it, please".

She shakes her head to his words even if they felt right, "No. I was your wife, your responsibility. I attended to everything while you neglected me. I did everything and bear the worse while you overlooked it even your son. I don't want to live like this. My self respect was taken for granted countless times, I can't do this anymore".

"Hania, please". He pleaded

"No. Leave me alone".

She was hurt, deeply. She can't believe the truth was out and she felt like she should have fought beforehand. She shouldn't have allowed anyone to think, she was weak. She shouldn't have waited for him either. Maybe she shouldn't have hide his first wife wrongdoings?

But, all in all, she was hurt.

He stayed beside her with his son and she didn't speak to him.

They returned home in the afternoon and she walked inside with support of Khizar (which she secretly liked because his hand were strong and warm). She saw Ayesha glaring her she tensed trying to move away from his hold but he tightened his hold more.

"Meri bachi (my child)". She heard his mother say

She looked at the older woman barely standing and immediately rushed to her stumbling but hugged her tightly.

"Ammi (mother), why are you standing?. You know your health is not good". She said worriedly looking at her up and down

His mother shakes her head kissing her forehead lovingly, "I had to be here to see the change, beta (daughter)".

"You never once leave you room when I was sick or struggling and now you are running around for her". Ayesha said mockingly

"Ayesha". Khizar said angrily, "Do not speak to them like that".

Ayesha glare at him but walked away from everyone closing the door shut.

The days passed turning to months and she was recovering he had opened her room and changed the interior to better and comfortable for her. She didn't wish to be alone neither have Hamza alone so he sleeps with her. Khizar hadn't allowed her to move a finger and always take care of her medicine and food. Though she couldn't eat much in beginning and neither move she was trying and progressing.

She noticed how he had started praying which his son told her, he had been doing since she was admitted. He spends more time with his mother and bring her out of her room to breath fresh air or meet her. He would sometime sleep in her room (on the chair beside the bed) looking at her. They haven't talked much and she was thankful. She had found him looking at her at random times which make her heart flutter and a blush on her face. He loves playing with her hand or fingers and unconsciously always does that. He had kissed her forehead sometimes to assure her he was with her but never too much scared she might push her away but she likes it all.

She didn't say much to his advancement and she felt like everyone deserve another chance. He was in dark most of the time. He was away of the house all the time. He was in whenever Ayesha who was his love put on a show. She still didn't let herself down. She just want to try this one time with all the truths out.

Today, she was in her room but she felt worried so she moved from the bed towards the stairs. She moved near the voices she heard.

"That man must have come for Hania. She is young and obviously isn't happy in this house he might be her past lover or someone". She heard Ayesha say to her husband

Her eyes widen as she took the remaining steps," She is lying, Khizar, I never had any relationship before or after our marriage. I promise".

To say Khizar and Hania herself was shocked that she had spoken against Ayesha was an understatement. But she couldn't allow someone to dirty her pure character she had heard enough about her coming from trash she will not allow anyone to step on her character. She had enough to Ayesha's trash talks and actions towards her. She wants to protect herself too. She felt better speaking for herself and she once again felt near her mother. She must be proud of her now.

Khizar walked closer to her smiling as he holds her hand in his, "I know I trust you, Hania, you don't have to worry".

Ayesha was burning by now she knows she had to do something or matter will leave her hands.

"Khizar, we have a party tomorrow you remember right?". She said smiling

Khizar nodded not listening or even looking at her. Somehow his eyes couldn't leave the woman who was standing beside him. He was so proud she had spoken for herself. He knows she wasn't a woman who would allow her suffering to belittle her. She was stronger than that.

Khizar walked Hania back to her room for some rest and he had taken more offs from work to understand her better and to take care of her. For the first time, he wanted his family to be happy and he wanted to be part of their lives. Which he had been doing he drops Hamza with Jamil uncle to his school and bring him back too. He spends time playing and talking to him and with his own mother too.

They walked in her room as she sat down lost in her thoughts she feels him sitting in front of her holding her hand in his.

"Hania, can I ask you something?". He asked cautiously

She nodded.

"Do you know you cannot be a mother?". He asked holding her hand tightly

She nodded.

"Then?". He asked

She sighs, "I knew it when it happened at first I was broken but then I thought Allah must have taken it away for some reasons so I let it go".

"You are so strong". He said placing his hands on her cheeks lovingly

She blushed looking down and a chuckle espace his lips looking at her as she glowed more in her red cheeks.

"Do you have a dream?". He asked gently

"Besides being happy and loved?". She asked and he nodded, "I remember my mami (uncle's wife) saying that my mother had a high brain and she was a doctor I wanted to be one too".

"A doctor?". He asked surprised

She nodded smiling.

"Great then!". He said, "I have some work so I will have mother stay with you if something happens call me immediately ok?".

That was what she needed his eyes to look at her like a woman who was in his Nikah. And a man who support her dreams. The need to have her protected and safe and last that she had only lost hope of love. For the sake of herself, Hamza and Allah she had given her husband a chance to choose one last time what he wanted in life. And for herself, to live for once without fears.

She nodded and he walked outside calling a few people to do arrangements for him. He attended few meetings and once he was done he was on the way back when he found someone looking through his house gate at first he thought it was the same man but he looked much older.

He stopped the car walking closer to the man asking him who he was and what he wanted.

"I am Hania's Uncle". He said

Khizar eyes widen, "What are you doing here?".

"What do you mean I sold her for just a few thousand and Ayesha made me a fool she was worth some more and now I have struck a better deal for her. I want her back". Her uncle said

Khizar fisted his hands, "What did you just say?. Ayesha did what?".

He saw Ayesha hurried steps towards them but he raised his hands stopping her immediately.

"Speak". Khizar said angrily

"That woman wanted someone naive and young for her husband to marry so she can throw her kid at her and live peacefully. So, she contacted me when Hania turned 18 and after I made her sign her property off to me I made her marry her (Ayesha's) husband. Ayesha paid me some around 20 thousand for her". Her uncle explained
