through the empty mansion where every day from outside is seen perfect but the walls inside the house are weaker than a old man body.
She landed on the ground with a hand a loud thud and the young child beside her cowered back in fear watching his mother hitting her.
"Who told you that my child can play in dirt. Just because you came from one doesn't mean you will make him like you". The disgust was visible in the owner of this mansion- Ayesha
Her husband walked inside the house as the young woman stand on her feet after being slapped looking down at the floor in guilt.
"I-I am sorry, Ma'am". She said stuttering in fear
The man stand looking at the scene not sure what was wrong or what is happening.
"What is this?". He asked
Ayesha turned to him hurriedly looking at him wide eyes but then recovered quickly placing a pity face walking to her husband.
"Look at what she did, Khizar, she took our child to play in dirt". Ayesha said tears brimming in her eyes
The kid started crying in his place looking at Ayesha criticising the woman who had done nothing wrong beside she was busy doing the chores Ayesha had given her when he ran to the dirt.
The young boy walked to his father with tears in his eyes,"She didn't do anything it was my fault. I promise".
His father looked at him then back at his wife and then at the young woman who stand in her place shaking.
"See! Now she is teaching our kid to take her blame and lie to us". Ayesha said angrily pushing her son away
"Nahi (No), it was me I promise". The kid- Hamza said begging as tears ran down his muddy face
The young woman walked in slow steps to Hamza who was crying badly pulling him in her arms as he hide his face in her neck.
"I am sorry. This will not happen again". The young woman- Hania said looking down
"It better not. He just came home to have look at this imagine how hard his day was and you have to ruin it by creating trouble". Ayesha said pulling her husband with her to their room
"Ammi (mother), I am sorry it was my fault. I will never do it again". Hamza cried looking at Hania
She allowed him the comfort that she never had in her life and the suffering she had been facing while her heart remained in scars.
This mansion was only filled with the best material but the heart were filled with blackness. Hania was only 18 years old and done with her 12th standard when she was pushed by her paternal uncle to be married to a man (Khizar) who was already married with Ayesha and had a son. Ayesha was looking for a new wife (naive and young) for her own husband so she can look at her child (Hamza) and take care of the whole mansion.
Hania was the perfect price with naive-ness and innocence not being able to see the world beyond her paternal uncle vision where woman were just to remain in house (by woman it was only her who stay home while his kid/wife enjoyed) and do all the house chores. Since the world was progressing and people asked question if she was to stay at home they had to allow her to study.
But when the offer of few thousands came from the mansion they immediately accepted it not telling her the details (of course) and selling her off.

She never saw her husband on first night she waited alone in the room until Ayesha came and told her she will never have a room and is to stay in her child room which only had a small bed where he slept so she was given the cold floor to stay.
Hamza, was the reason she can stay strong and she might have been weak her all life but she wanted him to have her strong side she had hidden inside her. She had heard her mother was a strong-willed woman who allowed no one to bring her down and she knows when she would want to fight someone (she didn't) it was her mother traits which she loves because she feel close to her.
She walked to place sleeping Hamza on the bed and then her loneliness started creeping in her heart. She walked inside the washroom not wanting to disturb the child and looked at herself in the mirror.
She wasn't healthy at all she was barely eating so her weight was nothing. Her face was pale as a leaf and her skin cling to her body. Her hair however always manage to stay healthy and smooth. She loves to play with them.
She looked at the hand print on her cheeks and by touching her she wince in pain. Her body was not strong for such impact so her whole jaw hurt from small movement.
Then, like a heavy weight on her small shoulder, she broke down on the cold tile of the washroom.
She knows breaking like this was getting her no where but her tears are the only thing that was left and no one had any objection on it (probably because they don't see it).
She had thought and believed that after her uncle suffering will end and her husband will save her from it all. She never imagined him to have her in Nikah and throw her away like trash.
She had hoped and hoped for past 3 years for his care which never came and she had no hope now that it will. Still the thing that was left with her was her tears, pain, Allah and Hamza.
Those keep her going, always.
She walked away from the room it was already dinner time and Hamza was six so he had school tomorrow. He had slept early since she already feed him food. Ayesha didn't like being disturb by her child at her time with her husband even if it's dinner.
Hania however had taught Hamza that sitting with a family to have meals was a blessing which he will one day have she wasn't even sure herself but she didn't want Hamza to be like her.
At least he was the son of this mansion while she was nothing.
She had taught him to pray which he does while following her when she prays. It was actually a heart warming sight when he would stand on the side doing the actions she does. She had taught him stories, manner and the Surah (verses) of Quran.
No one in this house beside her sick mother-in-law practice Islam values. Her mother-in-law was the sweetest woman and she had approved of her eveything.
Once, it was mid-night her hunger started pain-ing her flat stomach and she started walking out of the room knowing they (Khizar and Ayesha) must have went to their room.
She timidly walked down still looking around to be sure once she was she went to the kitchen to find leftover which she was sure Ayesha had thrown away like always and she wasn't allowed to cook something for herself or use the house utensils.

She found a bit of bread and decided to have it with water since she was already thirsty. She took the glass and turned around but she saw Khizar standing there looking at her which had her panic and the glass dropped down.
"I-I am so sorry. I will clean it". She said scared
If he hit her like Ayesha does all the time she was sure she would not even live. He was muscular and handsome (which she only says in her heart). She was obviously shocked her uncle will choose a handsome man for her but when she saw him her innocent heart flutters.
Also, he had never been near her, ever, they were never ever alone some encounter was always happened when he suddenly appear while Ayesha was hitting her and Ayesha blaming her.
Now, her heart beat in fear of how much he could hurt her and that she didn't wish to be alone with him. Even if Hamza was here she would have felt a little safe. Not with him.
Her hands shakes as she looked for the broom which she couldn't find because she was panicking and she didn't want to waste time to pick the pieces to be hit by him.
So without much thought she bend down started hastily picking the pieces unconsciously pressing them in her hand to fit them all in not realising she was hurting herself and now bleeding too.
Khizar walked towards her when he saw the fear in her eyes and her hand bleeding pulling her away from the mess. He hold her hand which had glass forcefully opening it seems she was clenching it too tight under water to remove everything. He also noticed how she was light as a leaf when he hold her and how she was shaking so badly.
"What is wrong with you?. Don't you have eyes to see you are hurting yourself?". Khizar scolded
"I-I am sorry please don't hurt me". She said crying in pain
Khizar looked at her bewildered at how badly she was shaking and pulling her hand away from him. She looked at him while her heart flutter a little her mind was imagining all the bad. His hand were actually so strong.
"Please". She begged
But then she looked in his eyes for a moment and her movements stops. Maybe she could actually have a life she had thought about maybe she could hop-
"What is happening here?". Ayesha yelled angrily coming towards them
Khizar leave her hand at the speed of light looking at his angry wife walking towards them. He ran towards her missing the glass pieces on the floor pushing her away from them before she steps on it.
"Jaan (life), there is broken glass pieces on the floor you will be hurt". He said worriedly
Ayesha smiled at him nodding then looking at Hania who was holding her hand looking at it sadly.
She was rejected, again.
Her heart-break.
She saw Khizar worries for his wife (Ayesha) and wondered what he gets by pulling her into this mess. Why did he pay to buy her?. But then, she was just a slave who had no right and was labelled by a Nikah.
"What were you doing here at this time?". Ayesha said pushing her husband aside glaring at Hania
Hania cowered back not wanting another hit to come at her she was sure the once she had for now will last another day. Her hand was still bleeding as she hold it in her dupatta (scarf).
"I wanted to ea-". She started but was cut off
"How can you be so irresponsible just because you are young (21) doesn't mean that you have to show it all the time. What if Hamza come here in morning and get hurt?. Clean this all, now". Ayesha ordered
Ayesha then turned to her husband sighing loudly and sadly,"I don't know why she always does it I have to take care of everything in this big mansion. Also, why did you (Hania) leave Hamza alone in his room?. What if he is scared?. You have one responsibility and you can't even do that?. My poor child".
Hania bite her lips to not cry or show that her hand was hurting while Ayesha took her husband away from the place. Just as they walked away and she heard their door closing she broke down in the empty kitchen while her hand pained repeatedly.
She heard the sound of the door and quickly wiped her tears picking the glass in fear that Ayesha had come again and will hit her.
She feel someone holding her hand and she jumped back.
"Please, I am sorry I was picking them I promise. Please, don't hurt me, please". She begged on her knees with her eyes closed tightly
"Beta (daughter), it's me the driver (Jamil) and my wife (Shazia)". Jamil said softly
His wife moved towards the scared child wrapping her arms around her and allowing her to cry for sometime. Shazia was their mansion old maid who had worked with her mother-in-law and father-in-law and still work here. Shazia and Jamil had seen everything that had happened with her and not always but at times they would try to help a little. Like taking some food in hiding to give her or when she is injured they would tend to her. But only sometime other she had to stay hungry or tend to herself.
"Let me clean this for you. Go to sleep. Or in morning she will hurt you for being late". Shazia said sadly
Hania nodded walking to the stairs weakly and her dupatta (scarf) was filled with her blood. She quickly clean herself and placed a small piece of her torn dupatta (scarf) on her hand since she wasn't allowed to use house first-aid kit. She wanted to break the rule and take the pain killer but she knew the result would be even more painful.
She walked to her mother-in-law room to check if she needed anything.
"Meri bachi (my child), come on". Her mother-in-law said softly
She hadn't had mother love but this woman had given her some sort of love.
"Ammi (mother), how are you?. Do you need something?. Massage?". She asked softly
"No, no, I am good. This old woman doesn't need anything beside death and your happiness". Her mother-in-law said
She looked at her angrily,"Arey Ammi (oh,mother), why do you speak about death?".
"Meri bachi (my child), death is the biggest part of life we often forget about when we are told about it right at the moment we were born and had a prayer in our ear which namaz will be done when we die". Her mother-in-law said smiling
"Ammi (mother), but I need you. Please don't talk like that I want my age to go to you". She said softly
"You are totally stupid. Why would you want me to live even long life watching my son being idiot and my wrong choice to bring him wife that was a snake to destroys lives?". Her mother-in-law said crying
"Ammi (mother), Allah is the greatest he will never let anyone be hurt for long. I promise I will pray hard and you will see good days. Please stay with me don't leave me alone. I am scared". She said crying
The next day, she was awake whole night praying to her lord to bring light in their lives and to stop the abuse happening.
She had Hamza ready and he did his breakfast alone since his parents were having one in their room. Hamza looked at his mother (Hania) not eating anything neither she had food he knows his mother had said her not to eat because she once did and she was slapped for it in front of him.
He break his omelette into two half (his portion small) and roll it neatly forwarding it to his mother (Hania). Hania looked at him wide eyes shaking her head in fear but Hamza was a stubborn boy so she opened her mouth and few tears espace her eyes looking at him feeding her.
"Mera piyara bacha (my sweet child), when did you grow so big?". She asked patting his cheeks lovingly
"Ammi (mother), I will grow quickly so I can take you away from here. Ok?". He said determined
She smiled sadly at his young promises nodding as few more tears fell.
"Meri piyari Ammi (my sweet mother), don't cry I am here I promise". He said wiping her tears
They finished their meal when the driver (Jamil) told them it was time for Hamza to leave. Hania hold Hamza hand checking his lunch box and water bottle and his clothes last time. She prayed a small protection prayer along the way as they stopped near the opened car door.
She turned him door blowing the prayer on him and he giggle.
"Mere piyara bache (my sweet child), have a lot of fun in school ok?". She said kissing his forehead with motherly love
"Jee Ammi (ok, mother)". He said grinning
"He is getting late and this is what you are doing?". She heard Ayesha mock
Hamza wasn't late in fact he always reach half hour before the school time. But she turned to see Khizar standing with Ayesha and she turned back not wanting to look at him after last night heart break.
"Respect your elders, protect woman and learn something new". She recited their routine chant
Hamza repeated after her and kissed his cheeks while she kiss his forehead one last time as he sat in the car. She waved at him and he did too until he was away from her sight.
The sadness immediately filled her when her boy (Hamza) was gone.
"You like to waste time right?". Ayesha said looking at her
She knew they were still there but she didn't want to see Khizar at all. Her heart pain too much remembering last night and she didn't want to feel this pain again.
"Sorry". She said walking away
She knows the day will be nothing but pain and once Jamil uncle was back after dropping Hamza he took Khizar with him.
While in the mansion she lay in the lounge as her body hurt from all the beating she had recieved from Ayesha because having a moment which Khizar last night which she called her plan to seduce her husband.
"You were just a maid that he brought in this house. You have no right on him or anyone in this house. Just because he gave you a label doesn't mean he will ever love you. You are just a pathetic good for nothing thing". Ayesha yelled punching her hard on her stomach one last time
She passed out in the lounge while no one came to tend to her and Ayesha sat on the couch enjoying her in pain.
Khizar was disturbed from the scene from last night he couldn't understand anything. He saw Jamil uncle crying inside the car when he was coming back from his first meeting that was in a restaurant and had breakfast since his wife never made him one.
Jamil uncle wife told him how Ayesha had hurt Hania and how she was not even moving anymore. The fear of her losing her life was so great and he felt he was responsible in it in some way. He was a old worker and he was trusted just to save his job and have some money he never spoke and allowed that poor soul to bear so much.
Jamil couldn't hold his tears and his wife was crying just like him. She wasn't allowed to tend to Hania unconscious body as it laid alone on the ground.
Khizar moved to Jamil worrying that something happened to his family but Jamil refused to answer instead he looked mad at him. The whole ride he kept crying and wouldn't speak or stop. Khizar saw the car stopping and Jamil asked him to come out.
"Beta (son), I use to always bring you here (garden) with your mom to play and I remember that I brought you up with everyone in your family". Jamil said sadly,"You remember that right?.
Khizar nodded politely.
"I know you are a busy man who don't have time for some as miser as me but I have to say this because I can't keep it in anymore. You have to trust me, Beta (son), please". Jamil pleaded guilty
Khizar hold his hands,"Baba (uncle), say what you want I will always trust you".
"Beta (son), your wife is not nice she is doing something you should be aware of". Jamil said crying
Khizar frowned.
"Who Hania?". He asked only she could do wrong
Jamil shake his head wiping his tears,"You consider Hania your wife?. I was speaking about Ayesha she is doing somethings you should see".
"What do you mean? What is she doing?". He asked clearly not believing
Jamil shake his head,"I will not say because I know you don't trust me enough. But I want you to find eveything on your own. Look closely and ask your man to see around her activities. Try staying at home for once and see her closely and what she does. I am sure you are better person, Khizar and I don't want you to lose the chance to repent".
