"alright, today you will work in pairs and will be assigned different tasks. our plan for today is to have a barbecue, and so everyone needs to help set up. your partner for today can be who ever you want" our biology teacher ms. kocho explained with a smile on her face.

"however, each pair needs to be in the opposite gender, since we've been separating groups in genders." ms. kanroji added with a sly grin.

nezuko teamed up with zenitsu, tanjiro was with kanao, and inosuke was with aoi. i was alone. i decided to tell ms. kanroji that i had no partner when i felt a tap on my shoulder.

"you're my partner" the boy said.

"o-oh hey mui-kun..yea sure i'll be your partner."

"that wasn't a question. it was a statement. i decided on my own that you will be my partner" he replied. it was kinda rude, but cute at the same time. we walked up to mr. uzui to hear what our task was.

"ah, you've scored a flashy one here muichiro" mr uzui shouted in a proud voice. mui-kuns face turned red, and so did mine. "you guys will be shopping for ingredients. here's your list. make sure to get the finest ingredients in the house" he added. muichiro and i snatched the list from his hand and head out.

we walked into a nearby grocery store. muichiro walked over to the pasta aisle, while i followed far behind since he was walking too fast. i felt that he was trying to avoid me seeing his red face.

i bumped into a shelf without knowing then suddenly two strange older men pinned me to the shelf i bumped into.

"ah this one's a pretty one" one of them said.

"yea let's have some fun" the other one continued while picking me up and over his shoulder. i opened my mouth but the other guy covered it. "shhh if you don't wanna die hun~" he whispered in my ear.

"remember we can- AH!"

he was interrupted when a can of meat sauce hit his head. "she's mine" the boy shouted.

"mu-mui kun!"

muichiro ran up to the two men holding me and kicked each of them in the shin. they dropped to the floor and he picked me up bridal style.

"you have to be more careful" he said while putting me down. "s-sorry mui-" i cut myself off when is fingers intertwine with mine. "you could get taken away from me again. i care about you..don't leave me" he whispered.

we walked out of the store with the ingredients. he gripped his hand tighter. "its more dangerous walking around the streets. never leave my side" he whispered once again.

he cared about me.

"hey, mui-kun..can you tell me some stuff about you? i-i wanna know more about you..because i care about you too.."

"well..i have a twin brother named yuichiro..my favorite color is teal..and my favorite food is simmered radish" he whispered. i was happy that he was telling me about himself. "thank you muichiro..for being a good friend."
