Hesitating to move forward, Suhana kept rubbing the ground with her shoe.
Carrying a pillow and blanket along with a spare dress for the next day, Suhana kept standing in front of Vikram's tent not wanting to open the zip of the tent and move inside.
As she extended her hand to unzip the tent, the zip came undone, as Vikram was standing on the other side.
"How long are you planning to stay out and scare the shit out of me with your shadow?" Vikram raised his eyebrows as Suhana cleared her throat and stepped inside.
"Your tent looks relatively smaller than mine" Suhana looked around as she arranged her pillow ten steps away from his, as Vikram sat down near the light.
"Aren't you going to sleep?" Suhana turned her head, as she saw Vikram immersed in a book.
"I can't sleep anyway" Vikram mumbled under his breath though it was heard by Suhana.
"Why are you always awake like an owl during night time?" Suhana threw her hands up in the air, "Like not only now, I haven't seen you sleep on time right from day one"
"Its not I don't want to sleep....It's I can't sleep....I have insomnia," Vikram replied, not wanting to remove his eyes from the book.
"Seriously? So are you under any medication?" Suhana sat on the blanket facing him.
"I have no count on how much I have them per day" He looked up at her as he answered.
"Tch tch! First drop out of the habit of chugging down your tablets! It doesn't help everyone in the first place."
"And...are you like..... addicted to alcohol or nicotine or something?" Vikram looked at her with a straight face.
"What? I am asking as a doctor so just answer" Suhana glared back at him.
"No"
"You can exercise for an hour a day, follow a proper bedtime routine and stay away from blue light an hour before bedtime and..."
"Been there, done that! And I exercise 2 hours a day" He moved his gaze back to his book, as Suhana's mouth was hanging down, with her brain frozen for a second.
"Then I have the best method to solve this" Suhana smiled like a Cheshire cat as she immediately stood up and grabbed his book from him.

"What?" Vikram glared, completely done with her.
"Lie down on your pillow, today you better sleep" Suhana murmured under her breath as she reached for the light and dimmed it.
"Don't cross this border" Suhana placed two pillows between them and spread the blanket at least 2 meters away from him as she lay down.
"As if I want to" Vikram muttered to himself, as Suhana continued, "When I was small, my grandma told me that...if we think about our favourite person or things that make us happy and gives only good vibes, we can sleep peacefully at ease"
"Like?"
"Like...smell of the earth after rain" Suhana smiled to herself looking at the pointed top of the tent.
"Crisp sound from books" Vikram replied his favorite thing.
"Soft paws of a kitten" Suhana chuckled as she closed her eyes.
"Poking fun at Rohit" Vikram closed his eyes as well.
"Cooking for people I love"
"Feeling of being loved"
"Mom!" Suhana sighed, missing her mom.
"You..."
"Guitar strumming sou..." Suhana turned her head, with her eyes wide open as she saw him deep asleep beside, with his right hand underneath his head.
"It didn't even take a minute for him to sleep! Liar" Suhana sighed to herself as she turned to her left, facing him with her eyes half asleep.

"What took you so long Suha..." Megha turned back and found Rohit standing near the entrance of her tent wondering whether to enter or run away.
"Megha...I" Rohit began his fully prepared speech on how he is planning to make her day better, as Megha interrupted.
"Rohit please leave, I am no mood to deal with you"
"Megha why won't you even listen to me. Either you are completely shutting me out or keep walking around with daggers to stab me"
"Because we are no longer together nor will we be. So let's stop this drama here" Megha stood up from her blanket while facing him.
"Don't do this to me Megha. I can't anymore. Everytime you talk to me, I feel like being stabbed straight in my heart. I know I did something I shouldn't have but your words hurt more than your actions."
"Yeah right, so let's put a full stop to this misery. That would be right, right?" Megha raised her eyebrows.

"Why Megha? Why do I feel like that only I am the one being burdened with the thought of being separated from you. Don't you even feel a bit sad looking at the state our relationship is in right now?"
"...We were almost about to get married to each other. Even Suha and Vikram don't find their relationship burdensome at this moment. Then why do you want to dwell upon something that happened 2 months ago?" Rohit clenched his wrist, trying not to break down in front of her.
"Yeah, It's been 2 months since that happened... I am still thinking about that and I still can't accept that fact you sided with your mom for your selfish reasons to be with me. And yeah I can't forget about that or get over it because this is me! You think I am a bad person or being selfish or self centered? Yeah whatever, maybe I am, because this is who I am Rohit! Yes I am this imperfect and still do have so many flaws"
"I love you Megha. I love you the way you are! I understand everything, literally everything you are worried about. I know you are insecure, but tell me what I can do to make you feel secure in this relationship. Talk it out, because I am in now way ready to give up on this relationship nor us." Rohit pleaded with his words leaving his throat with great difficulty.
"The more you keep raising a wall between us, the more it becomes difficult for me to break everyday. " Rohit continued, as he kept stepping towards Megha.
"I can't sleep well, I try to distract myself from your thoughts and try to be happy, but I can't. I can't eat properly without ignoring the thoughts of what might happen if we never get back together?"
" Will it really be over? I know I am fooling myself, just the way you are fooling yourself that you are fine and happy without me, without us." Rohit took his last step towards Megha leaving a small distance between them.
Rohit lifted Megha's face upwards facing him, as he found her tear stricken face, sobbing silently.
"I am sorry" Rohit whispered gently as he slowly bent forward towards her face until their breaths brushed against each other's face, as Megha moved forward and closed the distance between each other.
It took a second for him to realise as he gently cupped her face with his hand as he kissed her back gently as Megha's hand moved behind his neck.
Rohit pulled back and placed a small kiss on her lips as he whispered, "Megha.."
"Hmm?"
"Happy birthday" He whispered, though it was loud enough for it to echo inside Megha's ear for another few million years.
"I love you" Megha looked into his eyes.
"I love you more"
"By the way Rohit..." Megha paused as she withdrew from his arms.
"What?"
"Just an hour ago....you said you could barely eat or sleep.....but I think I saw you have 4 rotis with a bowl of gravy" Megha raised her head up with her lips straight.
"Huh...not really it was just..." Rohit chuckled as Megha punched him on his stomach.
"You better don't mess it up again" She hit him again lightly, against his chest.

Sleepily, Vikram extended his hand leftward to reach out to his phone to have a look at the time.
Rubbing his eyes, he glared at the time displayed on his phone.
It was 8 which is definitely the first time he had ever slept for more than 8 hours rather than his usual 2 or 3 hours of messed up sleep.
Astounded to himself he kept his phone back at its place and tried to remove his blanket when he realised he couldn't.
He slightly lifted his head up and found Suhana's arm tightly wrapped below his chest on top of his blanket, making his eyes go wide.
He turned to his right and remained still with his eyes almost ready to fall out of his socket on witnessing Suhana almost completely laid on top of him against his chest while the other half of her body hanging down barely touching the blanket on the ground, with her right arm holding him close, with her dug against his shirt.
Confused on what he was just seeing, Vikram remained still bewildered to even breathe as he slowly laid back, back to his original position pretending it was all a dream

With one foretold hero brutally snuffed out, another will inevitably arise. For Aleyr, the cycle only further embitters her towards the gods of good and all those who serve them. But the truth is that her downfall might be something much closer to home than their prophecies, those last dregs of mortality beating inside her own chest.
