It's been exactly a week since I arrived here in Istanbul and I spent almost every day with the prince and his mother telling them about our way of living and our laws.
But for the past two days, they've been busy preparing for the sultan's arrival from the campaign with his second son Mehmed.
"Princess the sultan has requested your presence," a Harem agha said on the same night they arrived.
I assumed that he'll rest before asking for me, I thought he'll rest for a day or two. I walked out of the room and followed the agha to the sultan's room which was almost the only room I knew how to go to since Mustafa was staying there.
There beside the door stood a young man with Mustafa who I assume was his younger brother, they both turned to look at me as I approached.
"My princes" I addressed bowing in respect.
"Ah, you're the famous princess Thyra," the young prince said taking a step closer.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, your highness" I smiled warmly at him.
"The sultan will see you now" the guard who left earlier when I arrived said as he walked back.
"Excuse me" I bowed smiling at the princes before walking into the room. There stood a man with a medium-sized beard, he wore very fancy robes that were definitely ones for a sultan, he had that aura around him that made you want to kneel in front of him and so I did.
I kneeled on one knee front of him with my fist over my heart. "Your majesty, " I said with a slight shake in my voice.
"Rise Princess," he said with a deep voice making me shudder as the power in it hit me.

I stood up and looked at him with all the respect I could muster. He stood beside a table where a cauldron and the secret letter were sitting.
"I reserved a letter from my son saying that you're asking for our protection from the Vatican" he started looking at me with a sharp look.
"Yes your majesty, the Vatican is after me, they want my head for killing the Danish prince" I explained.
"So you stole the letter before running away to bargain for it with us for your protection" he continued placing the pieces together faster than I thought he would.
"Yes that's right" I nodded in confirmation.
"Why did you kill the prince?" He asked raising his eyebrow waiting for a reasonable explanation.
"I was being forced to marry him so I killed him the night before our wedding before stealing this letter knowing what it contains" I explained recalling that night. I felt guilty for killing the prince but I had no choice, I was not gonna marry a stuck up prince double my age.
"How did you know what was in the letter?" He asked walking closer to me seeming more intimidating than ever.
"I heard my father and the pope speak about it, but I have n-no idea what that dangerous secret is," I said cursing myself in the head for stuttering.
"And if you're lying," he said stopping right in front of me.
"Send me to the Vatican, " I said strongly back.
"You're a brave one, I like you," he said back turning around and walking over to the table. I sighed in relief at his words.
"Guard let the princes in" he yelled. Seconds later the two princes walked in and bowed to their father before walking closer to him and standing beside him.

The sultan beckoned me to the table. I walked closer and placed the paper in a big silver plate before taking the silver cauldron in both of my hands and pouring its contains over the letter.
Seconds later the secret ink started to appear forming words, the younger prince gasped in shock making me smile a little.
"Read it," the sultan said. I nodded and took the paper between my hands trying to keep it over the plate to not drip over my expensive dress or the floor.
"Your highness, it says here that the pope wants the European countries to unite and attack you so they can get rid of you once and for all," I said looking up at the sultan who was obviously angry.
"That won't work with Italy and Spain fighting," the younger prince said.
"My prince it also said here that the pope will ask the Spanish king to marry one of his daughters to the Italian prince," I said showing him the letter.
He obviously could read Latin seeing as his eyes widened at what was written on the paper.
"You can leave now, all of you," the sultan said. I placed the paper back down taking a handkerchief that sat on the table before leaving.
"Princess" I turned around to look at prince Mustafa who called me.
"You'll be moved to Marmara castle tomorrow" he informed me as I dried my hands.
"Oh," I said feeling a little sad. Why was I sad? I should be glad.
"We'll visit you don't worry. I still have so many questions" the younger prince Mehmed said lighting up the mood a little. I chuckled at his eagerness to learn more.
"Of course, I have so much to tell you about," I said back making him grin brightly.
"Will you come too, my prince?" I asked turning my gaze to Mustafa who smile a little.
"Of course I will visit before I have to go to Manesa," he said reassuring me.
"I'll be waiting for your arrival," I said staring at him for a second before I noticed what I was doing, yet he seemed to not notice either as he stared at me too.
"Both of you," I said clearing my throat a little as I averted my gaze to the other prince as I felt my face heating up a little.
"Now excuse me I must go prepare for tomorrow," I said bowing. I looked at Mustafa to see him staring at me again making blush even more.
I went back to my room sighing happily as I laid down on my bed and started daydreaming of the prince. I couldn't get a wink of sleep that night as all I could think of was the prince, what was happening to me? What did the Othman prince do to me? He broke me.
Despite that idea, all I could do when I thought of him was smile as the beating of my heart got faster.
