Chase lets his fingers wander over my bare back. We lost The Cuddling Game after we made sure Bella and Travis would win the money. Now, I’m in Chase’s apartment, in his bedroom, in his bed, cuddling with him.

“Are you staying the night or are you leaving?”

“As much as I want to stay here with you all night, I have a paper I need to work on with Bella.”

He doesn’t hide his disappointment.

“Don’t you think her and that guy would be celebrating right now?”

“She is hell-bent on keeping everything in check and untainted until marriage. No way they will be doing anything besides kissing.”

“Wouldn’t it be awkward to walk in on their fun?”

He’s really trying to get me to stay the night.

“I have to go, Chase. Maybe tomorrow.”

Is that hesitation that I see? I untangle myself from him, gathering my clothes off the floor.

“You can join me in the shower if you want.”
