“Three teams? How many teams lost while I was sleeping?”

“At least one. I didn’t listen for any others.”

I nod and stretch out all my limbs. I make sure that Chase keeps his arms around me. We’ve made it to the final three. We’re going to win and I’m not screwing that up now.

When I’m done stretching, Chase pulls me on top of him, wrapping his arms tightly around me.

“What are you doing?”

“It’s my turn to take a nap.”

“I’m going to end up falling, Chase. Put me back on the couch.”

“Not going to happen.”

I try to slip out of his grasp but I fail. He’s just too strong. I slam my head on his chest, hard. Rather than loosen his grip, he tightens his muscles in response.

“You want back on the couch so damn bad? Fine.”

He flips me over so that I’m between him and the arm of the couch. He slings his leg over mine, trapping me. Chase’s arms keep my in their cage.

“Now let me sleep.”

He closes his eyes and falls asleep in seconds.
