The smile on my face refuses to go away. I unlock the door and head up to the room. The door is propped open, the warm spring breeze coming in from the window. Bella is sprawled out on her bed with books surrounding her.

"I broke up with Jonathan."

She looks up from her paper, surprised.

"You finally broke up with him?!"

"Yes."

Bella leaps off the bed, throwing her arms around me in an enthusiastic hug. I can't blame her. I'm oddly proud of myself, too. I know my friends were waiting for the day I told them that. Bella and Travis have told me numerous times about how I should ditch such a controlling person and find Mr. Right.

"Want to go out and celebrate? I heard that P's Ice Cream opened yesterday."

I haven't eaten P's in a while.

And by that, I mean since September when they closed down for the season.

"Yeah. Invite Trav."

"'Ight. When are we going to go?"

"Dessert for dinner?"

"Heck yeah!"

"Six."

She pulls out her phone and I do the same, searching for one specific number. When I find it, I tap it.
