I take a bite of my pizza. Jonathan is still in his chemistry lab dissecting creatures, leaving me and Bella alone at lunch. At least until Travis arrives.

"Are you seriously going to ask Travis to do the cuddling thing with you?"

"Yeah."

"He's going to say no."

"Let's ask him."

Travis sits down with a cheeseburger.

"Ask him what?"

Bella, pulling courage out of thin air, spins to face him.

"Will you be my partner in The Cuddling Game?"

He raises his eyebrow, already displaying a reaction that was not planned.

"What does it involve?"

"Couples have to nonstop cuddle for as long as possible. Prize of ten thousand dollars."

His eyes go wide and I let my jaw hang open. Ten thousand dollars? That's a lot of money for some cuddling.

"So I'll be cuddling with you nonstop for hours in order to get ten thousand dollars?"

"Correct."

A huge smile paints itself on his face.

"I'm in."
