I slam my pencil down.

"I did it!"

"Great job! Now let's try another problem."

I pretend to pout.

"I'm done. I did one problem. I deserve a reward."

"It was one problem."

"But it took twenty minutes!"

"I'm sorry."

"You took forever to teach me."

"I just think you want me to praise you for learning one problem."

I'm just looking for an easy way to ask him to kiss me."

"Please."

"Fine."

He reaches down along the side of the bed. When he sits back up, he has a bag of chocolate chip cookies in his hand.

"Here's your reward."

I take the cookies and set them in my lap.

"You were prepared for this!?"

"No. My mom just wanted me to bring them over for you."

"Although this is a great reward, it wasn't what I had in mind."

He cocks an eye brow at me.

"And what did you have in mind?"

"You know exactly what I want."

"Tell me."

"I want a little more than a hug."

For some reason, I can't get the words out of my mouth.

"Show me then."

I go to make my move but the twins protest. My bladder feels like it's going to burst.

"And of course I have to go to the bathroom."

"Show me when you get back."

I stand and face him.

"I'll think about it."
