Daniel walks through the doors of the restaurant, a worried expression on his face. He takes a seat across from me and the waitress approaches, taking his drink order. I take a sip of my lemonade as he settles into his seat.
“You’re texts were extremely vague.”
“They were meant to be.”
“Can you tell me what this meeting is about and why Andy couldn’t be here?”
I lean back in my chair, putting a hand on my stomach. I take a deep, calming breath before I speak.
