Fresh out of high school, Nova Scott moves to the big apple to start her life in college. Her plan was simple - study a lot, party a lot, make a lot of great memories.

After one too many tequila shots, Nova gets into an accident. The kind of accident that would leave you paralyzed for life, that would ruin your life. She mistakenly walks onto the street at night and a truck hits her, sending her flying down the street.

Whether it was their mutual love for alcohol or some kind of faith, Sven Rock ends up seeing the whole accident from a bar across the street and rushes to save the girl.

And that's where their story starts.

After one drunken night and a miracle.

I pulled my phone out of the pocket to check the time, my eyes widening when I saw that it was already past 3 a.m. I pulled Flora closer to me so I could talk to her over the loud music that played in the bar.

"Maybe we should go!" I yelled to her. "It's already past three and it's kind of getting boring."

Flora looked around and nodded her head. "Only like old people are here, what the hell." By old people, she meant guys around the age of 26 or so. That's who she considered old.

"C'mon, let's go."

Grabbing Flora's hand, we maneuvered past the people to get upstairs and exit the crazy bar that we were at. I'm not going to lie, tonight was really fun and by the look on Flora's face, I could easily say that she enjoyed the night just as much as I did. I guess it always takes a bit of persuasion to get her to come out with me.

The second we managed to exit the bar I could feel the chilly breeze on my bare arms and a sigh escaped my lips. I didn't even understand how hot it was inside until I got out.

"Wow, this feels so nice," I told Flora. She seemed to agree with me by the look on her face. "C'mon, I wanna twirl around like a crazy person."

I started to grab her hand to pull her onto the street with me but she shook her head as she continued to look at her phone and cool down.

"Ugh, you're so boring," I said to her as I started to step onto the street from behind the one car parked next to the curb.

I can't remember what happened next, I could only remember a few distinct sounds and feelings that would describe what happened.

A loud scream.

Screeching tires.

A slight pain in my hips and arm.

And the rest is darkness.
