《You Enlighten My World ( Taekook ff )》Part 137

Tae was done with his work in the university and is currently driving to KE to pick up his husband.
Suddenly his phone rang. He took his phone out and looked at the collar id, only to find it's his father who was calling. He quickly parked the car on the side of the road and received the call.
"Hello Appa"
"Tae, where are you? Are you done with your work?" Came Namjoon's urgent voice.
"Yes Appa I'm done with my work. Right now I'm on my way to your office. But why do you sound so disturbed? Did something happen? Is Kookie okay?" Tae asked concernedly. He was alarmed, catching the urgency in his father's voice and the first thing that came to his mind was, if his husband was okay or not.
"No Tae, nothing's okay. After you left, the police came to KE and arrested Jungkook '' Namjoon informed his son.
"What!" Tae was shocked beyond belief hearing his father's words, "what do you mean by they arrested Kookie?!" He exclaimed, "Why would they arrest him? What did he ever do?" He asked.
"Apparently, Lee Jennifer lodged a complaint against Jungkook with the charges of Molestation and physical abuse. That's why police arrested him" Namjoon answered.
Tae's blood boiled listening to his father's words, "Jennifer, that nasty bitch," he could help himself cursing at the vile woman forgetting that he was talking to his father, "how dare she falsely accuse my Kookie when she should be one getting arrested and punished for what she did" he angrily spat.
"What do you mean she should be the one getting arrested and punished?" Namjoon was curious to hear what Tae said, "Did something happen that I don't know about?" He quizzed, not minding the fact that his son just cursed at someone but then again he knew he too would have been cursing if he was in Tae's position.
"Yeah Appa, something did happen but I will tell you later about that." Tae replied, "Now you tell me where is Kookie? You didn't let them take him with them right?" He asked, his voice almost pleading.
"No, Tae they actually took him with them and currently I'm following them to Yeouido district police station." Namjoon said.
"Appa! Why would you let them take him? Why didn't you stop them? Don't tell me Appa, you thought my Kookie actually did something like that!"Tae agitatedly said, the thought that his innocent husband was accused wrongly and was taken to the police station made him worried stiff.
"What! What are you even saying Tae? How could you say that? Did you forget I have known him even longer than you? I know what kind of a person he is and that he would never do something like that" Namjoon hotly replied.
Although Namjoon sounded angry, Tae could detect the underlying hurt in his father's tone and words. He felt ashamed for hurting his Appa by saying that to him even though he very well knows how much his father cares for Jungkook.
"Appa" Tae called in a small voice, "I'm sorry for saying that." He immediately apologized, "I know how much you care for Kookie, but still I said that to you. Trust me Appa I didn't mean it. It's just that I got really worried thinking about Kookie and didn't think before speaking. But still I'm really sorry for hurting you Appa. Please forgive me" he explained in a gloomy voice.

Namjoon felt really bad for his son, noticing the gloom and worry in his voice. If he, himself was so tensed about Jungkook, he can only guess how worried Tae must be, especially when Jungkook was already unwell to begin with.
"Hey, Tae, you don't have to say sorry, I know how worried you are for Jungkook and that you don't mean any of the things you just said. So you don't have to apologize, okay bub" Namjoon reassuringly told his son.
"Thanks appa," Tae gratefully replied, "but appa, why did you let the police take Kookie with them?" He asked in a troubled voice, "why didn't you stop them?"
"I really tried to stop them but they didn't listen to me, apparently they have some evidence and Jungkook too didn't protest, he just silently followed them. So I couldn't do anything after that except follow them to the police station" Namjoon answered.
"What do you mean by Kookie didn't protest and silently follow them?" Tae frowned hearing his father's words, "why would he do that? He knew that he didn't do anything, then why?" He asked in a puzzled voice.
"I too don't know that" Namjoon replied, "actually initially he did deny the charges but then suddenly he seemed to be in deep thought and stopped protesting. I'm not sure, but I think maybe it's because of what Mr Song said" he let his son know.
"Now who is this Mr Song and what did he say?" Tae confusedly asked.
Namjoon sighed hearing his son's question, he knew Tae was going to get even more angry after he would answer his question but he also knew as Jungkook's husband Tae has the right to know what Mr Song did. So he told Tae who Mr Song is and what he said about Jungkook.
Hearing his father's words, to say that Tae was angry would be under statement, he was furious. How dare someone say those vile things about his innocent bunny, he was literally fuming.
"Appa! How could your employees have the audacity to say something like that about Kookie in front of you? Don't they know who Kookie is? How would you let someone as nasty as this Mr Song work in our company?" Tae angrily spat.
Namjoon felt ashamed hearing his son's words after all what Tae said wasn't wrong. Jungkook is his son-in-law, so how could his employees have the audacity to insult Jungkook in front of him.
"Trust me Tae, I didn't have any idea that Mr Song would turn out to be such a malicious person" Namjoon replied, "but don't worry I will deal with him after we settle Jungkook's case."
"No appa, you don't have to do anything. He dared to taunt and disrespect My Husband, so now I myself will deal with him after I'm done with Lee Jennifer" Take darkly said through his clenched teeth and Namjoon would be lying if he said, he didn't feel shiver run down his spine hearing his son's tone.
"Okay, you can do as you please," Namjoon said.
"Hmm," Tae hummed, "you said they are taking Kookie to Yeouido district police station, right?" He asked.
"Yeah"
"I will try to be there as soon as possible, till then please be with him appa" Tae requested his father.
"Don't worry, I will be there and I have informed advocate Kwon, so he will be there soon too." Namjoon replied, "you drive carefully okay" he told his son.

"Okay appa" Tae said and Namjoon hung up the call.
As soon as the phone was cut, Tae clutched it tightly in his hand and gritted his teeth in wrath, "Lee Jennifer, you not only tried to hurt my Kookie, but also dared to accuse him falsely. Just wait and watch how I pay you back for your wrong doings. No one can save you from me, you nasty bitch" he angrily thought as he dialed a particular number in his phone.
…………………………...
After a while Tae reached Yeouido district police station. As he parked his car and got out, he found Namjoon waiting for him at the parking lot.
A frown appeared on Tae's face seeing his father there because he had told his father to stay with Jungkook. Then what is his appa doing there?
"Appa" Tae approached his father, "What are you doing here?" he said.
"I'm waiting for you," Namjoon replied.
"But I asked you to stay with Kookie, so why are you waiting for me?"Tae confusedly asked.
"Come with me and you will know" Namjoon said in a grave voice as he held Tae's hand and started walking towards the main building of the police station.
The moment the entrance of the police station came into view, all of Tae's confusion got cleared and he finally understood why his father was waiting for him at the parking lot.
Because, the entrance of the building was crowded, crowded by a mob of reporters holding mikes and cameras. Some were giving commentary in front of the camera while some were bugging the policemen, who were standing outside. But then one of them noticed Namjoon and Tae.
"They are here, Mr Kim Namjoon and his son are here!" The reporter shouted, gaining other reporters attention and in a jiffy all of them rushed to the duo, their cameras zooming on them and mikes pointed at them.
Namjoon saw the reporters rushing to them and he immediately wrapped his hand protectively around Tae's shoulder and pulled him closer.
The reporters came and surrounded them, making it difficult to walk farther, and started bombarding them with questions.
"Mr Kim, are you here for your employee Jeon Jungkook?"
"Mr Kim, is it true that Jeon Jungkook is your son-in-law?"
"Mr Kim we heard that Jeon Jungkook molested Miss Lee, is it true? What are your thoughts on it?"
"Mr Kim, were you aware of this sick mentality of your son-in-law?"
"Taehyung..shi, your husband is accused of molestation of an innocent woman, what do you have to say about it?"
"Taehyung..shi, police said they have evidence of your husband's misdeeds, do you know about that evidence?"
Neither Namjoon nor Tae bothered to answer any of their stupid questions. They just kept walking, pushing their way through the reporters with their heads held high. But that didn't stop those reporters from asking more stupid questions.
"Did you have any idea about this side of your husband, Taehyung..shi?"
"Did your husband abuse you too Taehyung..shi?"
"Your husband is accused of sexually harassing Miss Lee, does he sexually abuses you too?"
"Taehyung..shi will you still stay with Jeon Jungkook after this or are you going to divorce him?"
Tae felt like slapping those reporter hard on their stupid faces for asking those degrading questions about his husband. But he just clenched his fists and tried to control himself because he was there to get his husband out of the mess, not to make a mess himself. But then as the next reporter spoke out Tae finally lost his control.
"Why are you not saying anything Taehyung..shi? It seems like you are already aware of the criminality of your husband, is that why you are here? To support and save that Molester Jeon Jungkook?"
Tae was furious upon hearing those noxious questions of that reporter. He stopped walking.
"Tae, no!" Namjoon cautioned as he could feel the anger radiating from his son, "don't make any scene, just keep walking" he urged his son.
"Don't worry apa," Take whispered, "I won't make any scene" he assured his father as he slowly turned to the reporter who asked the question.
"You," Tae pointed at the reporter, "what is your name?"
"I'm LiIm ChaOk, from TVC News" the reporter proudly answered, proud that she was finally able to get a reaction from Tae.
"Hmm, so Miss Lim ChaOk from TVC News, what did you just call my husband? A Molester, right?" Tae darkly asked, "did you see my husband molesting her with your own eyes? Were you present there?" He oh so calmly asked but his eyes were burning in rage and the woman visibly gulped noticing that.
"N..No" the woman stuttered, "but the police said they have evidence against Jeon Jungkook" she somehow managed to reply.
"Did you see that evidence with your own eyes, Lim ChaOk gijanim?" Tae challengingly questioned, "did any of you see that evidence?" He asked looking at all the reporters present and no one was able to answer because indeed none of them had seen the said evidence. "You didn't, right?" Tae laughed mirthlessly, "then how dare you say those vile things about My Husband? How dare you ask those degrading questions, call him names?" Tae charged, "don't you know according to law, a person is innocent until proven guilty?" He continued, "then how dare you conclude that my husband is guilty when it's yet to be proven? And guess what? No one would be able to prove him guilty because My Husband, Jeon Jungkook, is INNOCENT. He is falsely accused. You know what, you all, just wait here and watch me take my husband back from here, cleared of all charges while the real culprit pays for what they did" Tae boldly declared, his voice full of confidence and then he turned to his father and held his hand, "let's go appa, my Kookie must be waiting for me" he said, his voice and eyes both turning soft at the mention of his husband.
"Yeah let's go" Namjoon replied and they walked inside the police station leaving behind a bunch of reporters who were too stunned to utter even a single word.
As the father son duo entered the police station they heard someone shouting loudly.
"What is this Officer Cha? Why are you making this man sit here rather than putting him behind the bars already?" The voice sounded oddly familiar to Tae, as if he had heard it somewhere and as he entered the police station with his appa, he realized that he indeed knew the man. Not only Tae but Namjoon also knew the man.
There standing Lee HanSu, Jennifer's uncle, madly barking at the Officer sitting at the other side of the table. Beside him was sitting his niece Lee Jennifer and next to her was her father, Mr Lee HanMin.
The Lee's were sitting on the left while Jungkook alone was sitting on the right. Tae felt his heart clench as he noticed his husband's posture. Jungkook was sitting with his head lowered, shoulders dropping, back a little hunched and even though Tae was yet to see his face, he could already guess how exhausted his husband must be from his stance and why not, after all the man was heavily drugged just the previous night and might still be having its after effects.
"Don't you know how he hurt our daughter, then why is he sitting here like a goody two shoes? I demand you put this ruffian behind the bars right this instant" Lee HanSu demanded.
Anger bubbled up in Tae's veins hearing Lee HanSu's words, especially the vile adjective he used for his husband, he gritted his teeth and clenched fists to control himself as all he wanted to is land a hard punch on that Lee HanSu's face and disfigure his face. But he stopped himself from doing so because first he needed to make his husband's name clear from all those wrong charges and then he would make everyone pay for hurting his bunny, verbally and physically.
Lee HanSu was again going to say something or more like make demands but before he could do so, the Officer stopped him by showing his hand.
"Listen Mr Lee, stop behaving like you own this police station and making unreasonable demands. We have certain protocols to follow and we can't just break them and put Mr Jeon behind the bars just because you demand so. We are waiting for his guardian and lawyer to come. We can start the next procedures only after they come." The Officer sternly said, successfully making Mr Lee HanSu shut up.
"Mr Jeon," the Officer called Jungkook, making him raise his head, "neither your guardian nor your lawyer came till now. Do you want us to make a call to your guardian?" He politely asked.
Before Jungkook could answer, "We are here" a deep voice resonated through the room, "Jeon Jungkook's guardian is here."
All the heads immediately turned to the owner of the voice only to find Jeon Taehyung walking in, his head held high eyes and stance oozing out confidence accompanied by his father Kim Namjoon who looked equally poised.
All the eyes in the room were on Tae but Tae had his eyes on only one person, his husband, his Kookie who was also staring wide eyed at him but the moment their eyes met, Jungkook just lowered his eyes, refusing to meet Tae's gaze.
Even though their eyes met for only a moment yet Tae could clearly notice the exhaustion and distress in those expressive bambi eyes of his love and it increased the heaviness in his heart, making him want to just run and pull Jungkook in his embrace, hiding him away from all the pains and distress of this cruel world. However he knew he couldn't just do that yet, not before he made sure the ones causing his innocent bunny the pain and distress will get their due punishment. But there's something that kind of confused Tae, something else that he had spotted in his husband's eyes, an emotion that he absolutely hated to see in Jungkook's eyes, Guilt and it made Tae puzzled as to why would his husband feel guilty when he knew he didn't do anything wrong, then why? But before Tae could ponder more on it, the Officer spoke out.
"You are?" The Officer fixed his questioning gaze on Tae.
"I'm Jeon Taehyung, Jeon Jungkook's husband and legal guardian and this my father Mr Kim Namjoon" Tae answered gesturing to his father as he went and sat on the empty chair on Jungkook's left, his father following him closely behind and silently took a seat on Jungkook's right.
Well when he came to the police station, Namjoon was all prepared to defend Jungkook and talk to the Officer. Ready to do anything and everything it takes to get his son-in-law out of this mess. However as he witnessed the way his son handled the press, with a calm and confident demeanor, he decided to take a step back and let Tae do the talk and defend his husband, protect his man while he himself will stand behind them a like pillar to support them, so that his children can lean on him if they ever feel weak and then he will do the needful. But till then he will just silently keep providing them his support.
Hello Mr Jeon, I'm detective Cha, the Officer in charge of this case" the Officer said and pointed at the two men standing behind him, "they are detective Gu and detective So, my assistants in this case'' he introduced himself and his team "as you may have already heard we were waiting for you and your lawyer to appear so that we start the next proceedings. Is your lawyer also here?" He asked.
