THIRD PERSON POV-

Someone said being alone is also beautiful. He gave the example of moon who look so beautiful even when he had been ruling the night sky since forever but can moon really look that beautiful without little stars scattered in the wide expanse of dark sky?

Does moon have the same significance without the shining diamonds up there who increase Moon's beauty to ten folds?

Or would stars will look so beautiful if moon wasn't there?

Never.

If there were no stars up there, the moon wouldn't have the importance what it held today. He shouldn't be given as an example of shining the brightest in the dark night sky. Moon is moon because of stars and stars are beautiful because of moon......No stars....No appreciation of moon's beauty.

The ravenette looked at the millions of stars complementing the beautiful moon with blank eyes. His life was also blank, dark canvas like the night sky. Taehyung was the moon and little happiness were the stars. His happiness was because of Taehyung and he needed Taehyung to be happy.

Jungkook shook his head in disapproval when the cloud covered the moon stopping its silver light from showering the earth with calmness and peace. He was also going through the same phase. He had his moon in his life but there was a wall of clouds between both of them.

It was late at night. Jungkook wasn't able to sleep after coming back from the orphanage after dropping clothes and other things there. He didn't even had dinner as he didn't feel hungry. Taehyung's sudden ignorance made the boy feel so dead.

He tried to talk to the blonde but the blue eyed boy didn't want to listen anything. He was also trying his best to not let his heart win over his mind making Jungkook feel so devastated. He was left only with three months and it was making him scared.

In no way he was letting Taehyung go away from him this time but he didn't know from where he should start. He regretted being an asshole to Taehyung all those years back. He wanted to tell the blonde what he feel for him, he wanted to make sure that his husband know that he was special, he was loved, wanted.....more than that, he was needed.

The soft wind passing through the ravenette didn't do anything to make him feel better. He was suffocating from inside. He felt like he was struggling to breathe. The pent up emotions made him want to cry but he couldn't at the same time.

The silent atmosphere, open sky, blowing wind, shining moon, calming darkness.....all of them would have looked so romantic if a whole storm of emotions wasn't blowing inside the ravenette. The mocking stars didn't let Jungkook feel at peace even for a second.

If he had been a little careful with his actions, he would have been staring at those beautiful stars with Taehyung's head on his shoulder, their hands interwined and Taehyung's melodious giggles echoing in the silently blowing, cold breeze.

Jungkook was still looking up at the sky with blank eyes when he heard footsteps. The ravenette turned around to see Taehyung walking in his direction but the blonde stopped as soon as his eyes fell on his husband. Jungkook looked up to see the clouds finally revealing the shining moon whose light illuminated the dark night.

The ravenette look back at Taehyung only to see the blonde also looking at the moon. His beautiful sharp features looked unreal under the silver moonlight. The blonde hairs dancing with wind and the slightly parted lips as he looked at the sky with his blue, innocent, doe eyes made him look ethereal.

Beautiful!!

The ravenette took a cold sigh as he stared at the angel standing in front of him. Taehyung looked back at Jungkook hesitantly. Maybe it was the late hour of night or some magic spell of moon, Taehyung couldn't control his heart from beating wildly in his chest while Jungkook was already drowned towards him.

Everything blurred or maybe their existence ceased for Jungkook as he looked at his husband with so many strong emotions in his eyes that Taehyung found it hard to keep the eye contact. He averted his eyes and licked on his lower lip making them glisten under the silver light.

''I a-am sorry....I didn't know you were here!'' The blonde said when the silence became too uncomfortable for him. Jungkook's intense gaze on his face made the blonde's stomach somersault.

''Its okay...''

Taehyung looked back at Jungkook who wasn't ready to blink, his heart thudding like it will come out of the ravenette's chest. They were standing just a few steps away from each other and Jungkook wanted to close that distance desperately, to hold his husband close to his chest so that Taehyung can hear for whom the ravenette's heart beat, to kiss him until Taehyung realise whose name Jungkook take on every breathe, to hug the blonde until his soul feel complete.

To love Taehyung until he can't anymore.

He wanted to say so many things, to let out what he had been feeling since seventeen years, to tell Taehyung what it had been like living without him for Jungkook....

That he was living in hell since last seventeen years.

''I s-should go!'' Taehyung's hesitant voice brought Jungkook back from his imagination.

''No!'' The urgency in the ravenette's answer made the blonde halt in his steps.

''Stay......'' Taehyung's heart did the weird thing again as he looked into his husband's eyes who looked at the blonde helplessly.

''Bu-''

''Please.....'' The desperateness in that single word made the blonde speechless. He looked around before looking at the ravenette who kept his gaze trained at Taehyung's blank face. Without saying anything, the blonde walked ahead giving a strange sense of relief to the ravenette.

Jungkook closed his eyes for a moment to calm his racing heart before turning around. Taehyung stood near the railing, his hands resting on the metal bar and eyes taking in the beautiful view of the night sky, fresh air making him feel alive even when he was dead inside.

The ravenette walked to stand beside Taehyung, their arms touching just a little sending sparks in their bodies, their heart picked up the pace, breathe becoming a little heavy as they tried to not let themselves lose in the moment.

Jungkook looked at Taehyung whose eyes were trained up, face devoid of any emotions even when he was standing there holding his breathe. The blonde couldn't understand how can someone have so much control on another person's heart, his mind, his body.....his soul.

Moment of silence passed with Taehyung admiring nature's beauty and the ravenette speechless because of the ethereal beauty he got as his husband. The blue eyed boy tried his best to not look at Jungkook as he felt his husband's gaze on his face.

''Beautiful.....'' The compliment left Jungkook's mouth even before he could register it. Taehyung's breathe hitched and he looked at the ravenette with his blue, observing eyes. Jungkook smiled and looked up to see at the bright moon making Taehyung's gaze also follow him.

''Why do night need a moon to be beautiful?'' Taehyung asked. Jungkook smiled and looked upto the moon.

''Because night is meaningless without moon.''

''Why? There are so many other things too that makes night beautiful......why moon is most important of them all?'' The blonde asked again.

''Because all the other things derive their beauty from moon....Moon is not just a round, shining object that keep on changing shapes every other day.....Moon is the name of the most beautiful thing in this world, most important person in someone's life, most precious memory from past, most hopeful thought for future.....Moon is a symbol of happiness.....a celestial body that has the power to make even darkness look beautiful!!'' Jungkook replied, his deep angelic voice sounding so soothing in the silence that enveloped both of them that Taehyung felt like he can hear to it for the rest of his life but he shrugged his thoughts as soon as it came.

Hopes will only hurt in the end....he knew that.

''But isn't it wrong?'' Taehyung's question made the ravenette look at him confusedly.

''What?''

''Isn't it wrong for anything to be this important, this precious that your life become meaningless if that single thing is absent?'' The blonde asked, eyes locking with Jungkook who smiled.

''It is wrong if you see it that way but if you see the other side, a single thing will make you most beautiful, most special, most precious....most happy that you won't look for anything else to make you happy.'' The ravenette replied calmly, his eyes trained on the open sky. Taehyung looked at his husband with unsure eyes.

Was it the same Jeon Jungkook he met seventeen years ago?

Did he always use to think that deep?

He already knew the answer. The ravenette he got as his husband wasn't a person who would admire nature's beauty at night, in fact the Jungkook he knew would always come home drunk. He wasn't someone who would understand the importance of something like moon when he couldn't value his own kid back then.

The thoughts made his mouth sour.

He immediately averted his eyes and looked away.

''But there are people who never get their moon in their life, what about them?'' The blonde asked, his eyes conveying what he actually wanted to imply. Jungkook looked at his husband for a few moments before looking down.

''Then they should try to chase their moon!'' The ravenette replied weakly, guilt evident in his tone.

''And what if their moon had already cut every ties with them?''

''Tae-''

''What if that moon come back in your life only to make it worse?'' The blonde cut his husband in the middle. Taehyung's sharp, complaining eyes that held so much pain, hurt, betrayal and complaints made it unable for Jungkook to keep looking into those blue pools.

''What if your moon is the one who want to make your life a living hell? What to do when you know that in a quest to chase your moon, you will only get pain, betrayal, ignorance and lonliness?....what if in search of something beautiful, you only get the ugliest life ahead?'' Taehyung asked again, his voice getting sharper but he refused to stop.

He had always wanted to ask Jungkook what his mistake was? why was he gifted with the pain that make him wake up from the sleep at night only to cry into the pillow? He wanted the answer to what he had done to deserve that treatment, to deserve unlimited hate, to deserve a life worse than hell?

''Tell me, Jungkook! What is the fault of night if moon want to keep him devoid of his shine? What's the fault of the sky if that fucking moon decides to go and hide behind the clouds?'' The blonde asked again, his fists clenching tightly as he looked at his husband who stood in front of him with his head hung low in shame.

''Tae-''

''Don't even think I'll believe you until you say what you want to looking into my eyes!'' The blonde cut the ravenette again. Today, he wanted to close the chapter of his share of pain. He wanted to finally end his misery. He had lived in pain enough, he wanted a closure....

So that he never cry again.

Jungkook looked up making Taehyung's eyes widen just a little, the shock that appeared on his face was immediately hidden under a mask of blankness by Taehyung when he saw the tears in his husband's eyes.

The ravenette fought hard to form words but couldn't making the blonde tsk.

''You can't even give me a closure, Jungkook....I was a fool for expecting that from you because what you can gift me is pain....only pain!'' The blonde said rudely and was about to walk away when the ravenette held his wrist.

The blonde stopped and looked at Jungkook who smiled amid his tears but that smile itself displayed how much pain Jungkook was holding inside and Taehyung wanted to punish himself for feeling bad for his husband even when he was the one bleeding inside since so many years.

''Tae.....I know what I did was wrong, I-''

''That wasn't wrong, Jungkook......that was sin you committed!'' The blonde corrected the ravenette who nodded.

''You are right. I committed a sin and I have been not only regretting but also getting punished for committing that sin since last seventeen years. I know its not enough, I deserve even worse, Tae....I was a fool, I am a criminal for doing all that with you. You never deserved what I gave you. You tried to give me every happiness and I ended up snatching yours! Trust me Tae, I am begging everyday to God to give me just one last chance... I swear I never slept peacefully after you were gone. I made your life a living hell but that ended up making my life worse than any hell.....'' Jungkook paused, tears after tears rolled down his cheeks making Taehyung look other side because whatever it was, he couldn't see the ravenette crying so helplessly, his own tears came streaming out of his blue eyes.

Jungkook still stood holding his hand but Taehyung didn't try to pull it away.

''I know nothing can justify my actions and nor my sorry will make it any less but still, I am sorry, Tae, I am really sorry for doing all that with you. I don't want you to forgive me just like that......But I want to say sorry for my sanity. I feel so suffocated, Tae....I feel like I can't breathe. Whenever I close my eyes, your crying face appears in front of my eyes.....I am scared of closing them now. I can't sleep peacefully knowing I snatched your sleep, your peace, your happiness! I wish I could go back in time and change everything, Tae but I know its not possible.'' The ravenette said desperately.

Taehyung kept standing there without saying any word. He thought it will be so satisfying to see Jungkook shedding tears for his forgiveness but it were hurting him more than anything. He just wanted to run away from there to a place where there is no sorrow, no pain, no betrayal and no expectations.

A place which can provide peace to his soul.

He was tried now. Tired of trying to deny his feelings, tired of denying that Jungkook still control his heart...tired of not been able to do anything to chase his happiness.

''Please give me a last chance, Tae-''

''Last chance?'' The blonde asked cutting the ravenette who nodded hesitantly.

''You mean one more chance to hurt me?'' Taehyung asked chuckling sarcastically. The ravenette shook his head desperately, his weak eyes pleading the blonde to just hear him once.

''No Tae.....I can't even imagine hurting you anymore. My soul is dying little by little everyday, Tae.....The guilt inside me is making it hard for me to live. I am selfish Tae....I know you want to just run away from me....'' Taehyung chuckled sarcastically inside his mind.

Only if that was the case, it wouldn't have been so hard.

''..... but What should I do with this heart? this guilt? this shame? I can't live with it anymore....Please give me a chance to earn your forgiveness, Tae......Just once! so that I can die peacefully...... please, I beg you!!'' The ravenette pleaded again, his eyes face damp with tears narrated the story of pain and repentance.

The blonde looked at the moon one last time before looking at Jungkook.

''You know why moon is beautiful?'' He asked blankly confusing the ravenette.

''Its beautiful because we can't touch it, because its out of our reach. If we could have moon, we would have never understood its importance, would never have valued its existence, would never have admired its beauty.'' Taehyung stopped making Jungkook look at him pleadingly.

The blonde freed his wrist from Jungkook's hold making the ravenette cry even more.

''Please No, Tae......P-Please!'' No matter how much it was hurting Taehyung right now, he was scared of taking the chance again. he was scared of being left alone once again. He was terrified thinking what if he got ignorance only in return.

He was scared of giving a chance to himself.

He was scared of giving another chance to their relationship.

He was scared to look at Jungkook right now.

''Somethings are meant to be this way, Jungkook....we were meant to be this way. One more chance won't change anything.....We are that moon of each other's sky whom we can only see from afar but never touch them.....never reach them....never have them.'' With that being said, the blonde looked at his husband one last time and walked away.

More tears came running out of his eyes when he heard the ravenette falling on his knees but he didn't stop, didn't turn around because if he did....he could never have it in him to turn away from Jungkook.

A painful scream left Jungkook's mouth, the agony in that scream made even the sleeping birds shiver in sympathy.

The ravenette cried...and cried.

And with him cried Taehyung standing in the corridor, leaning against the wall, hidden from Jungkook.

Both of them were hurt, both of them were crying, both of them needed each other.

But Taehyung was afraid.

He won't be able to handle getting the same treatment again.

He couldn't trust Jungkook anymore.

He couldn't trust his fate.
