《Something I Never told You (Tk)》32

It was around four in the evening when Jungkook came back home. He had a meeting and he forgot the file at home in his happiness. Gguk didn't even look at him once and kept sitting beside him with an angry scowl on his face but Taegguk's presence beside him was enough to make the ravenette's day. Dropping the boy at his school, Jungkook went to office only to realise that he forgot an important file at home.
He was walking towards his room when he saw the door to Taehyung's room was open wide. He felt a sudden urge to have a glimpse of his beautiful husband. The boy contemplated if he should go or not as it can offend Taehyung but when his heart didn't listen, he finally threw all the doubts away and walked inside the blonde's room.
He looked around the place and frowned when he couldn't spot Taehyung. The door of washroom was also open indicating that he wasn't inside. He checked the balcony and got more confused.
Where could Taehyung be?
From what he remember, Taehyung didn't need to go anywhere today then why was he not in his room.
Jungkook walked out only to see a maid coming towards him.
''Noona....where is Taehyung?'' He asked making the lady look at him confused.
''Jungkook? You, here? Are you okay?'' She asked getting concerned as she had never seen Jungkook at home at this hour of day. The ravenette always used to come home late and sometimes, he spent his nights at his office only. The sudden change made the lady concerned.
Jungkook chuckled and shook his head.
''I am fine, Noona.....I forgot an important file that's why I came to take it.''
''Oh......I got worried for nothing.'' The lady said finally breathing in relief. She had been working here since almost ten years. She has seen Jungkook at his worst. She had seen him drunk, she had watched him punishing himself by overworking in the Gym, the lady has witnessed his midnight cries. She wasn't just a normal worker, she had been a family to Jungkook in his bad time.
''Don't worry about me. I am fine. Where is Taehyung?'' he asked again and the lady looked behind herself.
''He is on the terrace.''
''At this hour?'' He asked confused.
''Yeah.....he is painting and wanted some place where he could be close to nature and away from any disturbance. So yeah......'' The lady replied shrugging her shoulders making Jungkook nod.
''Oh....Okay. Thanks!''
With that, he immediately walked to the terrace. Standing a few feet away from Taehyung, he looked at the blonde with soft eyes. Taehyung was busy creating another masterpiece. He didn't notice Jungkook standing there and staring at him unblinkingly.
Wearing a pale brown shirt, once again a size larger than his fit and a baggy trouser with his cute slippers, Taehyung focused on the work at his hand like nothing else existed in the world.
His blonde hairs dancing slowly with the soft air as he used his fingers on the blank canvas perfectly while the paintbrushes lie to the side unattended. The blue eyes following his own fingers and the lower lip held between his teeth gave away how lost Taehyung was in his work.
The expressions on his face changing every now and then made him look like he was some work of art himself with almost no flaws. The long slender fingers stained in colours worked perfectly in sync as Taehyung put down his imagination on the white sheet. Those fingers screamed that it was nothing new to them....Like they have done the same thing thousands of times before too.

Jungkook didn't let his eyes even blink. He was too lost at the beautiful masterpiece creating another masterpiece with so much concentration. The shade over his head protected the blonde from the sunlight while the green lawn of the mansion and huge trees adding to the beauty of the grand mansion provided a perfect natural environment to Taehyung.
The vast expanse of the sky above their head witnessed the beautiful sight along with Jungkook.
The boy even forgot that he had an important meeting within half an hour. His hand on its own went to touch his chest, just above where his heart was beating like crazy and it made the ravenette smile.
His heart was beating
He finally felt alive.
He was still admiring his beautiful husband when suddenly Taehyung hissed and squinted his eyes. Placing the colour palette on the stool, he tried to rub his eyes from the back of his hand as they were stained with colours.
''Ah!'' The boy hissed again at the stinging burn in his eye and tears started running down his cheek. He struggled to clean his eye with his hand not available for the task at the moment.
Jungkook, who was witnessing the whole scene came running to him.
'' Hey....what happened, Tae?'' He asked worried, removing Taehyung's hands from his eyes.
''My eye is burning.'' The blonde replied trying hard to not cry.
''Wait....lemme see....don't touch your eye, Tae.'' he scolded softly when the blonde again tried to wipe his eye from the back of his hand. The blonde nodded and let his hands fall to his side.
Jungkook stepped closer to his husband, one hand taking out the handkerchief from his pocket while the other went to cup the blonde's face to keep it in place.
''Open your eyes, baby.'' The pet name rolled out of his tongue without him noticing it, neither did Taehyung paid attention as his eye was stinging so bad. The blonde tried to open his eye only to close it immediately as it burnt even more.
''If you won't open your eye, How am I gonna help you, Tae?''
''But its hurting.''
''It will take only a minute. You will be fine....trust me.'' The ravenette insisted making the blonde open his eyes slowly. He bit on his lower lip to stop himself from crying at the burn and held Jungkook's arm tightly staining the expensive suit with colours.
The ravenette raised Taehyung's face by his chin and looked at his red eye shedding tears without a break. He blew on it softly providing a little relief and softly, very carefully wiped Taehyung's eyes with the soft, cotton cloth.
''Its just a small insect.....you will be fine....Okay?'' He asked removing the handkerchief as he still blew air to Taehyung's red eye, other hand still cupping the blonde's face.
A few seconds wouldn't have passed when Taehyung finally felt some relief. His eyes stopped tearing and he sighed in relief. The boy was about to say something when he saw Jungkook still blowing soft puffs of airs to soothe the stinging pain.
The blonde gulped when his eyes looked into Jungkook's brown ones. The care in those eyes made the blonde's heart race. Standing so close to his husband made the boy feel all the emotions once again.
He thought he had successfully buried his feelings deep under the ground but just a caring action from the ravenette and blonde's heart was back to beating erratically all over again.

''Tae....you should not w-'' Jungkook stopped mid sentence when he saw the blonde looking at him unblinking. The boy now realised in what position they were. With Jungkook cupping his cheek and standing not even a step away, their faces not more than few inches apart while Taehyung held onto the ravenette's arm.... both of them felt their heart racing again.
They held the eye contact, while the brown pairs of eyes wanted to convey Jungkook's feeling, Taehyung's blue eyes only held complaints and disappointment. It looked like Taehyung was trying to search for something that can help him keeping a distance from the ravenette while Jungkook searched for a clue.....some hint.....something.....anything that can give him hope.
Both of them were still lost when Taehyung's phone rung. They flinched and the blonde immediately stepped away. He licked his lips and looked at the phone.
It was his son.
The boy looked at his phone to his colour stained hands.
He needed to pick up the phone or else Taegguk will become worried. He always start making stupid things in his mind when Taehyung don't pick up his phone.
''Umm.....C-Can you pick that call for me?'' He asked to Jungkook who nodded, a soft smile adoring his lips. The ravenette picked up the call and held the phone to Taehyung's ear.
''Hello, Gguk?'' The blonde spoke lovingly, eyes looking at the beautiful view in front of him while Jungkook lost himself in his husband for the second time in a row. He was sure that no one can look so beautiful in blonde hairs as his husband.
It was like God has chosen some best of the things from his treasury and used them all together to create Kim Taehyung......The epitome of beauty and perfection.
Blue eyes contrasting with the blonde locks falling over them, the sharp nose whose beauty was enhanced by a mole on it, rosy bread cheeks which seemed softer and smoother than anything in the world, a small drop of colour very artistically smeared on it, long eyelashes fanning them and the luscious lips moving ever so slowly as he talked to his son made Jungkook's heart melt at the sight.
He literally saw everything moving in slow motion.
Soft caress of Taehyung's tongue on his lower lip wetting it, slow nod of his head to no one and the beautiful smile at the end of conversation, Jungkook wanted to crave everything to his memory.
He was still looking at Taehyung with lost, dreamy, soft eyes when Taehyung looked at him nervously as Jungkook was once again standing in a dangerously close proximity to him.
''M-Mr Jeon!'' The boy called only to get a dreamy nod in response. Jungkook was so immersed in admiring the beauty in front of him that he didn't realise that the call ended a long time ago.
''The call has ended.'' Taehyung informed looking at his husband. blue eyes looking into Jungkook's brown once cluelessly.
''Okay.....''
''Okay? Its over Mr Jeon.'' The blonde informed again when Jungkook kept smiling at him like some creep. The glare from Taehyung brought the ravenette back to his senses and he immediately stepped back and looked around nervously.
"Gather your shit, Jeon!" he scolded himself and scratched his nape awkwardly.
"Thanks." The blonde broke the uncomfortable silence making Jungkook nod with a nervous smile.
"This was n-nothing." He replied stuttering, his heart still not ready to calm down. Taehyung nodded blankly and looked down to his hands.
"W-what was he saying?" The ravenette asked a few moments later, wanting to spend a few more moments around his husband as he was suddenly feeling overwhelmed.
"Huh?"
"Gguk? What was he saying?" He asked hoping it don't offend the blonde.
"Oh....He said he will be coming home late-"
"Why?" The ravenette asked concerned and Taehyung bit his inner cheek to stop himself from smiling looking at Jungkook behaving so childish.
"He said he was going to one of his friend's house for some project they got in class." He explained, looking anywhere but Jungkook.
The ravenette nodded understandingly and looked at the phone in his hands and then to the blonde who looked at the canvas while all of his senses were attending Jungkook.
"Y-Your phone..." He extended the device, suddenly feeling so nervous. The boy was scared a little thinking no one knows when Taehyung will again go back to his ignoring mode. It felt so good talking to his husband after so long.
So long?
Did they ever talked normally?
He chuckled sarcastically at the back of his mind and again depressing thoughts clouded his subconscious as he got angry on himself.
Taehyung looked at his hands making Jungkook place the phone on the table where Taehyung's painting supplies were kept.
The ravenette looked at his husband for one last time and turned to leave when he remembered something so he stopped making Taehyung look at him questioningly.
"Tae? What things make Gguk happy?" He asked weakly, guilt already visible in his eyes and the pleading expressions on his face made the blonde look away from his husband.
" He loves everything you do...... except Money......'' he replied, voice getting sharp towards the end making Jungkook give a broken smile.
"That's great."
The blue eyes of Taehyung show the sarcasm at his reply. The blonde huffed silently and looked away. Jungkook sighed and extended his handkerchief towards Taehyung who looked at it with a raised eyebrow.
Jungkook pointed towards his cheek where the colour was smeared . ''You have colour on your face.'' Taehyung made an O shape with his lips. He looked at the white, cotton cloth and to his hands only to look at Jungkook who nodded assuringly.
The blonde took the handkerchief hesitantly and Jungkook immediately walked away from there without saying anything further with an excited smile on his face.
Taehyung talked to him......it was enough for Jungkook to become happy and hopeful.
While Taehyung looked at the fabric in his hands blankly. He sighed deeply and threw the cloth onto the same table which had his supplies and got back to his work.
He didn't want anything from his husband now.
The boy kept using his fingers expertly, eyeing the piece of cloth every now and then blankly. Five minutes wouldn't have passed when he threw the colour palette angrily and wiped off the colour supplies from the table along with the white handkerchief.
An annoyed yell left his lips and he stomped away from there leaving everything behind.
Such small things shouldn't affect him.....that's what he told himself.
While in reality......it was affecting him.
In a not so good way!

Vee Vales has been kicked out of his home and directed to make his own way in the world. Along with his friend Alforde Armorsoul, Vee travels to the city of Oar's Crest. Once a prosperous and well-to-do city, Oar's Crest has fallen into depression and disrepair. After finding a strange stone that takes up residence in a tattered top hat and introduces itself as Reginald, Vee and Alforde decide to open a dungeon in Oar's Crest to revitalize the city and, more importantly, make some fleurs. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: Dungeons are Bad Business (DABB) is a slow burn slice-of-life dungeon core litRPG citybuilder that's focused on the day to day experience of running a dungeon. There will be some action, but it won't be the focus of the story and Vee and his friends will usually overcome their problems with their minds and their pocketbooks instead of their weapons. Since I'm participating in the writeathon, I will probably be uploading chapters almost daily for the duration of the event. Thanks for reading!

They Are Our Smols
You’ve read They Are Smol. You’ve enjoyed They Are Smol (if you haven’t, well, prepare to not enjoy this one either). But this is smols like you’ve not seen them before. This is extreme smolness with a lemon twist: smols fucked up big time in this one, and Earth, well… Earth is empty of smols. At least the ayys hope so, because it’s fallout time back there. The ones that got away — and let’s face it, it was all of them that were left — had no place to go. Homeless, smol and needing protectings, they were taken in. For the lucky ayys out there, they’re our smols. This is a not-so-serious slice of life alternate universe where the entire population of Earth, what was left after the dead man’s switch was flipped and the nukes successfully irradiated the planet, were evacuated en masse and then taken in by the galactic civilization at large. I’ll probably write a few more in this silly, comfy alternate timeline to expand on what’s different, but don’t take it too seriously, okay? I do not take credit for the original setting, this story is set in an alternate version of the 'They are Smol' universe, written by the one, the only u/tinyprancinghorse.TPH takes many forms and is known by many names. He is like Nyarlathotep, only smaller and cuter and more prancey. TPH also has a Website and a Patreon.

The Flame in the Forge (A Slice of Life Isekai LitRPG)
Thrown into a world he doesn’t recognise, Niall Vendra has to adapt, learn and fight to survive. Physically, emotionally, personally. If Niall wants to save his family, then the man he was needs to transform. Surrounded by Minotaurs, Fae and Magic, Niall will have to reinvent himself as both a warrior and an artisan. Growth won’t be fast and it won’t be easy, but with patience and hard work, Niall can earn the Skills, Abilities and Classes to battle his way to the top. The Flame In The Forge is a LitRPG Isekai/Portal fantasy. You should expect slice of life with conflict and an overarching mystery to be solved. Niall will be both a crafter (primarily, but not exclusively, as a blacksmith) and a fighter. There won’t be a harem. But don't worry, there will be both flames and forges! I should be clear that while this is very much LitRPG, it's story led and I have tried to make it feel believable. So, for example, the first blue box doesn't appear until chapter 6. I hope that the payoff is worth it. Compared to some LitRPGs you may find the pace rather gentle at times. There will be some periods where it feels like Niall is eking out every level and others when, for good reasons, he makes a significant leap. My goal though is to give you a satisfying story, so that dictates when and how Niall's stats and skills change. I can reassure you that I fully intend for Niall to become immensely powerful, but I want you to feel like he has earned every level in a realistic way.
