THIRD PERSON POV-
Toady was Ara's birthday and Namjin couple was throwing a grand party. After the party, they will be having a sleepover in which Taegguk, his parents, and Yoonmin will be staying for the night once all the guests leaves. Hobi was out of country for some work so he couldn't attend the event but he had promised the little girl that he will buy gift for her.
Taehyung and Taegguk had already reached Kim Mansion while Jungkook had said that he will be coming there directly from his office. The huge mansion was decorated beautifully. Bathing in the bright light, the balloons looked so beautiful lying around the place carelessly while silver fringes hanging from the ceiling reflecting the light and splitting the seven colours beautifully looked so mesmerising.
Guests have already arrived. Taegguk walked with the blonde, his eyes glaring at anyone and everyone who tried to look at his mother, his face morphed into seriousness as he protectively walked beside the blue eyed ethereal male. Taehyung waved his hand excitedly when he spotted Jin talking to some guests while the boy couldn't help but smile when his crush waved back excitedly at the two.
The handsome male excused himself and walked over to them.
''Hello Hyung......How are you?''
''Hey Taebear!! I am fine....how are you?'' He asked hugging the blonde while Taegguk looked at the handsome male with a dreamy smile. What he could do? The man was his first crush afterall!
''I am also fine, Hyung.'' He replied pulling back from the hug and Jin's eyes went to Taegguk who immediately blushed scarlet at being caught staring.
''Hey Gguk.....How are you, big boy?'' He asked smiling brightly at Taegguk who felt like something bright had attacked his eyes which he had to squint in order to not to get blind.....Did I exaggerated?
''I am good, Un-'' He stopped mid way when Jin raised his eyebrow warningly. Taegguk smiled sheepishly. ''I mean, Jinnie.....I am good, Jinnie!'' He completed and Jin chuckled and Taegguk and Taehyung chuckled with him.
Jin ruffled the brunette's hairs lovingly making Taegguk's cheeks turn light pink again.
''He is such a cutie!!'' The comment from Jin made the brunette whine. He can't risk blushing more than he already was.
''Where is our little princess?'' Taehyung asked looking around the place.
''He is with Jimin in her room, will be here in a minute or t-......Oh wow!! She is already here.'' Jin said looking towards his daughter who was coming towards them holding her princess dress.
''Mumma!!'' The girl came running towards Jin who immediately opened his arms for the girls while Jimin came walking behind her chuckling. After a good moment of mother daughter duo hugging each other lovingly, Jin turned towards Taehyung who was smiling at the little girl.
''Taehyungie Uncle is also here, Ara.....see what he got for you?'' Jin said excitedly making the girl look at Taehyung and Taegguk only to look around with a frown.
''What happened baby?'' Taehyung asked when he saw the little girl searching for someone.
''Where is Kookie Uncle?'' She asked with a pout making Taehyung chuckle while Taegguk and Jimin rolled their eyes.
''Ara? Baby its rude. You should ask Tae uncle how he is and talk to Ggukie.'' Jin scolded the girl gently making her nod with an adorable pout on her lips.
''How are you, Tae Uncle?'' She asked cutely. The blonde bend down to the girl's level and patted her head lovingly.

"I am fine, Ara....and Kookie Uncle will be here soon. Don't be sad....Okay?'' He asked and the girl smiled.
''And here is your gift.....Happy birthday, baby!'' He said sweetly bringing a cute smile to Ara's lips. She took the present and placed a kiss on Taehyung's cheeks making the boy widen his eyes in surprise.
''Thank you.....Kookie uncle says we should thank like that if someone make us very happy.'' The girl explained her cute, little action making Taehyung smile.
''That's such a nice gesture, You know.....You also made me very happy, Can I kiss you?'' The blue eyed male asked cutely making the girl nod excitedly. Taehyung chuckled and kissed the girl on her cheek and patted her hairs lovingly.
''Ara had grown up, Hmm?'' He asked. The girl nodded.
''You guys help yourself.....I need to take Namjoon out of his misery....Okay?''
''Huh?'' The trio including Jimin, Taehyung and his son asked confused.
''That man is trapped between his business friends on his girl's birthday....Isn't it a misery?'' Jin asked sharply and the three of them nodded in sync.
Five minutes later, Namjoon was sitting on the couch with his princess sitting in his lap while man with dimple smile talked to her lovingly, patting her head, kissing her every now and then and listening to his baby's complaints as to why his Kookie uncle wasn't still there while Taegguk looked at the father daughter duo blankly.
He didn't know what it feels like to have a father who love you.
To have a figure who would listen to your complaints, a person who would do anything to keep you happy......a person who a kid look upto while growing up.
The boy was staring at Namjoon and Ara being all cute with each other blankly while Taehyung noticed his son looking at the sight while his eyes clearly show he was lost in his thoughts.
The boy knew what he must be thinking so he smiled a little and squeezed Taegguk's hand making the boy come back to his senses. He looked at the blue eyed male and smiled weakly before standing up and walking away from there.
He needed to clear his mind but before he could walk somewhere far, Ara's excited voice made the boy halt in his steps.
''KOOKIE UNCLE!!'' Ara shouted at the top of her lungs and ran towards the door from where Jungkook just entered. The little girl ran towards him with her arm open made the ravenette smile brightly and he opened his arms as well when the girl approached him and hugged her tightly.
''Oh my princess, did you miss me?'' He asked still hugging the girl who had her both hands around Jungkook's neck. Ara nodded and pulled back only to glare at his Kookie uncle while the ravenette looked at her confused at the sudden change of her mood.
''What happened, princess?''
''Don't talk to me!''
''How can I live without talking to my princess, hmm?'' Jungkook asked teasingly making the girl huff.
''I was waiting for you since so long and you are coming here in the last!'' The girl complained pouting and Jungkook made a sad face.
''But I was searching for the best gift in this city for my princess, baby.....that made me a little late. Kookie is sorry.'' He said showing his puppy eyes and the girl almost laughed looking at Jungkook's funny face.
''So where is my gift?''
''umm.....I'll give you that in the last. Okay?''

''No....I wanna see what you brought for me.'' The girl shook her head stubbornly.
''But baby, we keep special gifts for the last.'' The ravenette said making the girl think for a moment.
''Okay!''
''Now let Kookie uncle kiss his princess?'' Jungkook asked pouting and the girl giggled. She kissed Jungkook on his cheek and hugged the boy once again.
''Don't be sad, Kookie Uncle..... I don't like it when you are sad.'' She said pouting. Jungkook chuckled and ruffled her hairs lovingly.
''So my princess has grown up now....hmm?''
''Of course.....do you want me to be a kid whole life?'' She asked rolling her eyes playfully.
''I wouldn't mind that. you know.'' He replied as both of them pulled back. The girl giggled when Jungkook kissed her on forehead.
''Let's meet everyone...shall we?'' He asked making the girl nod enthusiastically. The girl held Jungkook's hand and both of them walked to where everyone was sitting while Taegguk, who was witnessing the whole scene felt a strange feeling creeping up his heart.
He didn't like it.
He felt like he is the one who deserve Jungkook's attention more than anyone, as if he should be the one in place of Ara. He felt like someone was snatching his rights, his share of love.
The boy was so annoyed at himself for feeling this way. He shouldn't care who Jungkook talks to, who he hugs, whose hairs he pats lovingly, or for whom he buy special gift....he shouldn't be affected with all these things.
But what he could do? He was a kid who had been deprived of his father's love, his warm embrace, his sweet talks, his caring actions....he had been kept away from everything that a child get from his father.
Jealousy is a strong emotion. It makes us feel so helpless. The boy didn't know why his eyes teared up seeing his father acting so caring and loving towards that girl. When he saw Jungkook walking towards everyone holding Ara's hand, he walked away from there without saying anything.
He needed fresh air to calm his raging emotions.
The ravenette hugged Namjoon as both of them had met after a whole week. While Jimin looked at the ravenette angrily, Taehyung averted his eyes and looked at the beautiful decoration around him blankly. Jungkook looked at the blonde and immediately looked around when he didn't see Taegguk with his mother because the boy is always beside Taehyung.
He frowned and looked at Taehyung.
''Tae.....where is Gguk?'' He asked confused. The blonde looked at Jungkook confusedly before looking around.
''He wa-''
''Why you wanna know? Its not like you care where he goes!'' Jimin cut the blonde, his taunting eyes reminding Jungkook of what he did years ago when Taehyung informed him about him being pregnant. The ravenette was speechless but his eyes show how hurt he was but he immediately covered it under a mask of his bunny smile.
''Of course I care for him. He is my son, Jimin.''
''Wasn't he seventeen years ago?''
''I am not the same Jungkook I was seventeen years ago.'' Jungkook replied sternly making Jimin roll his eyes.
''Chameleon never forget to change colours, Jungkook......One minute he is sweet pink and the other minute, he is angry red!'' The silver haired boy replied smugly and Jungkook was about to say something when Jin stopped him.
''Guys....This isn't a place to discuss all that and neither it is the time. Its my daughter's birthday and I don't want any drama.''
Jimin huffed and looked away while the ravenette's eyes went to look at his husband who was already looking at him but he became nervous immediately and stood up.
''I-I'll see where Gguk is.'' He said to the ravenette who nodded. The blonde left to search for his son while Jungkook couldn't say no to the little girl who wanted to sit with his favourite Kookie Uncle even if he wanted to go and search where Taegguk was.
The party was going in full swing. Everyone was enjoying inside while the brown haired boy stood in the dark balcony, his hands holding the railing lightly. The brown eyes trained at the dark sky where stars were shining brightly but there was no moon in sight. The lampshades in the lawn illuminated the dark balcony just a little, enough for the stars to be able to see the gloomy face of the sad boy.
The cold, fresh air hit his face but it did nothing to make him feel better.
His emotions were all over the place. All these years, Taegguk had tried his best to not let his childish desires take over him. He never let Taehyung feel that he wasn't able to love him enough to make him forget about his father. The brunette love his mother with his everything, he would do anything but will never let anything hurt the blue eyed male.
Even when he craved for fatherly love all these years, he never let his lips say that out loud.
He knew that it only make Taehyung sad. He knew that the blonde will cry again, like he had been doing all these years. Taehyung did his best to hide it from Taegguk but the brunette wasn't a fool to not know why Taehyung's eyes used to be puffy and dry almost every other night. He only acted to buy the excuses the blonde would give him, just because he didn't want Taehyung to get more sad.
Looking at the sky, he felt like his life was also the same. He had all the happiness like the bright, shining stars but something major was missing from his sky. Something that has no substitute, something that shines the brightest, something that give the true happiness.....
Something that makes one's family complete.
He was still lost in his thoughts when he felt someone standing beside him. The boy shut his heart and looked at the person looking at the same sky with gloomy eyes.
A person who did his best to give every happiness to him.
How can he be so selfish and tell the blue eyed boy that he wasn't able to erase his longing for his father from his heart? How can he say that to Taehyung that he couldn't fill a father's place in his life?
A person who lived his life only for him.
How can he say that he want a father in his life who abandoned him even before his birth and hurt another person who gave his everything, his time, his efforts, his struggles....everything just so that he can keep his son happy?
That would be injustice with Taehyung.
''Sky is incomplete without a moon....isn't it?'' Taehyung's words brought the boy back to reality. He looked at the sky again before nodding.
''Yeah....Sky is meaningless without moon.'' Taehyung looked at Taegguk when he heard the sadness in his son's voice. Taegguk averted his eyes from the shining stars like they don't hold any value and looked at his mother.
''Let's go inside..... Ara will be cutting her cake soon!!''
With that, both of them went inside and Taehyung couldn't understand the cause of sudden sadness in Taegguk's voice.
He felt like there was something that he was not able to see.
