《Seasons (Taekook)》Chapter 25

💜
It was the last week before the presentation of the interns and everyone was panicking.
Although people stopped saying mean things about Taehyung, they didn't stop giving him weird looks.
"You will be presenting soon, are you ready?" Jimin asked Taehyung who just nodded his head.
Taehyung would be lying if he said he didn't miss Jungkook right now. He needed just a sniff of the alpha's scent and he was going to be okay.
"You look kinda down, are you okay?", the Omega just nodded his head and Jimin decided to just let him be seeing he was not willing to talk.
"I heard Mr. Jeon will be back on the day of the presentations, let's do well and not disappoint him", Jimin said trying to cheer the Omega who had a pout.
💜
The day of the presentation came faster than the Omega would have liked. Jungkook was finally back but he didn't have time to greet the Omega he missed in the last three weeks.
He didn't miss the rumors about him and the Omega, which made him feel really bad because he didn't want that for Taehyung.
Currently, they were in a boardroom and Baekhyun was presenting. "That was a very good presentation Mr. Byun, however, I have a few questions. My first question is, why didn't you solve all your cases? You had 5 cases in total and only managed to solve two for a year"
Baekhyun bit his lips, "I was assisting me.. ", he didn't finish as Jaebum stopped him. "Don't lie, tell truth"
"Oh I see, you didn't take your job seriously, I don't see the point of asking more questions, you can sit down", Jungkook said with a stern voice.
The whole room became silent after the whole Baekhyun issue, "Next is Park Chanyeol", Namjoon said.
The male stood up and started presenting everything he learned, all his cases.
"I'm very impressed Mr. Park, you did an excellent job. I will ask one question, why did you refuse to do a pro bono case?", it was Namjoon.

"I felt like I needed to focus on cases that bring more revenue to the company than a case that will not get us anything".
"Are you saying those that don't have money don't deserve to be represented?".
"No, but those that have money should be prioritized". Jungkook was not pleased at all, and the rest of panel was not pleased also but they continued asking him questions until they were satisfied.
"Choi Soobin, your next". The male stood up and started presenting looking confident. However, deep down he was scared.
"That was a very good presentation Mr. Choi, I just have a few concerns. Why didn't you finish working on all your cases?", Namjoon asked.
"I, unfortunately, underestimated the time each case will take, and I ended up requesting more projects than I could handle".
"That is fair enough", Namjoon. The panel kept on questioning him for some time until they were satisfied.
Taehyun and Mark also presented and the panel was also slightly happy.
It was Taehyung's turn and when the Omega presented the whole panel was blown away. Jungkook was proud, his heart swelled with pride.
"Mr. Kim, that was a very good presentation. Can you tell us why you presented on all your case instead of one line the others did?".
You see, the Omega grouped his cases and explain each one of them in detail whereas the others mentioned the other cases they worked with but focused on one that they worked in depth with.
" I wanted to show the panel all my work and how far I have gone to solve the cases".
"That is good Mr. Kim, I don't have any more questions but good work", Namjoon said.
The panel continued to question Taehyung, the way he presented so well, it was hard to even grill him. Jin and Hoseok couldn't even do anything as they saw that the male was indeed capable.
The presentations were concluded and the interns were all called out at once to give them feedback.

"Based on the presentation, we have decided that we will hire three personnel instead of two", Namjoon started.
The interns were happy except for Taehyung as he didn't think he did well.
"The third person who will be working with us full time is Choi Soobin", Namjoon said. Soobin cried in disbelief, "Thank You", he muttered.
"You deserve it, young man, you presented very well. The second person to get a position is Mr. Kang Taehyun".
The male screamed in happiness making almost everyone in the room erupt in laughter. "Thank you very much", he bowed.
"You did well young man, lastly the person who performed excellently in their presentation and their work, Mr. Kim Taehyung, congratulations".
Taehyung looked at everyone with shocked eyes. "Me?". Namjoon laughed while Jungkook wished he could hug him, "Yes Mr Kim, you passed. Congratulations"
Tears rolled down the omega's cheeks, his eyes met with Jungkook's who smiled at him sadly since he knew that the Omega wanted a hug from him.
"Thank you very much", tears continued to roll down his eyes "You deserve it Mr. Kim, you have thrived under the leadership of Mr. Jeon", Namjoon continued.
"As for Mr. Tuan, Byun and Park, unfortunately, your contract ends today. It was a pleasure working with you, if you need referral letters, we will gladly provide you with one".
The three males sighed but faked a smile as they thanked the company for the opportunity and all.
💜
"I heard that Kim Taehyung was hired as a permanent worker. he did so well that all the managers were blown away".
"To think that Mr. Jeon was not even around to assist him shows that he is indeed capable. Will their presentations be shown to us like other interns?", another employee asked.
"They will have to since it's the tradition of the company. I'm sure everyone will be there to see if the Omega Kim deserves the job", employee 1 said.
Just like the employee said, the presentation of the six males was scheduled to be broadcast in the main hall the next day.
💜
Once the presentations were concluded, Jungkook called Taehyung to his office. The Omega was ready to go home but decided to go hear Jungkook out.
He knocked a couple of times until he heard a 'come in'.
"Good day Mr. Jeon, you called for me", he was very respectful. Jungkook sighed, "Uhm, let's talk another time about it. You can go home now, congrats by the way".
The Omega smiled and bowed as he left. On the other hand, Jungkook was beating himself up. He wanted to talk to the Omega but he was currently having a meeting with Namjoon, Jaebum, Hoseok, Jackson, and Jin in his office.
"He did very well, I'm glad we gave him this chance", Jaebum said looking at the door as the Omega left.
"I agree, he outdid himself and I'm very happy he beat the stereotypes", Jackson said with a big smile.
"Who knows what he will be doing in the next year. He might have outdone himself just to get a job and after that, he might start using people to...", Hoseok didn't finish as Jungkook interrupted him.
"Enough Hoseok, accept that he proved you wrong. He is your ex, we get it but that doesn't mean you need to disrespect him. He deserves the position, can we please continue with the meeting".
Jungkook was a little bit irritated and everyone picked it up. Hoseok was kind of confused as he saw that something was going on.
He wished whatever he was thinking was not what was going on. The thought of Jungkook liking Taehyung scared Hoseok.
