"Jahad must've known we're here and how your father lowered the defences today."
"Who told him." I whispered. "It could've been anyone."
Khun gives me a small smile, rubbing my head lovingly. "I don't know. It'll be okay."
...
"Y/n!"
I gritted my teeth, barely missing another set of boulders that went hurtling towards my head. It smashed into pieces beside me.
"Y/n, focus!" My father screamed. A purple haired man falling to his death in front of him.
How am I supposed to be able to focus when I can't even spot where Khun is!?
I see Bam zooming towards me. He hovered close. "I'll keep Khun safe. Don't worry." The brunette said, disappearing somewhere else.
I can trust Bam... I know I can.
My sword hits a target, slicing their stomach apart. They staggered back.
I took the changes to grip against their helmet, throwing it away. My swords sharp egde positioned between their eyes.
But my hands trembled.
"...Cas?"
He grinned sadly, "hi, princess."
"Why..?"
He stayed silent, looking at the scene behind me.
"... I'm sorry..."
...
I looked left and right. We aren't prepared. We were to focused on my wedding. We were vulnerable. I shouldn't have been selfish.
And now I'm paying the price.
"Urgh-"
My head snapped at the source. My father kneeled beside me, a sword lodged in between his ribs.
It made me realize how much of us are going to disappear.
We were already losing. We were already falling back.
So why?
WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!?
And image comes to my mind. I can stop this.
I immediately ran back towards the castle, the enemies, Jahad's rankers around me dropping dead.

I ran down the stairs, pushing the door to my right open.
I was on my knees, trembling. My hands that supported me were covered in blood. So was my armour and legs. My face probably got the worst of it.
A few droplets fell onto the cobblestone beneath me.
I was to tired to look up. I was afraid to look at the faint white glow that floated towards me in the eye.
But I was desperate to end it. Before anyone else I hold dear die.
My smashed my fist against the stone beneath me. "Please-"
"Your bravery will cost you your life. i hope you know that." A soothing voice whispered into the air despite the cryptic words she holds.
A bright light covered my eyes. Once it died down, a golden sword appeared beneath me. It's design similar to the one in the statue outside. A feather chain on the ends of it.
"With this, you can stop it." She said.
I finally looked up, meeting the soft gaze of my mother.
I circled my fingers around the hilt. It's like it was meant for me to use.
...
"For the cost of ones life." I mumbled, seeing my dirty face reflected by the glassy sword.
"That's true for a normie." She laughed, her tone dripping with sadness. "Do not join me to quick."
Her light faded away, along with the rest of her existence. "She has served her purpose, and she has done well." Was written in a legend once about the sword of the unnamed.
I quickly made my way back. When I arrived, I stood by the edge of a cliff. The wind blows my hair back along with the uniforms cape. I touched the hilt of my dagger khun had gifted me that rested on my waist. It become an item to help me calm down.

From here, I can see Khun's blue hair as he desperately protected my kingdom.
Our kingdom.
The rankers, Jahad's army. Everyone on the opposite side turned their head towards me.
Their eyes flashed with something like recognition as I charged back into battle.
...
"Where'd you get that?" Khun asked, breathing heavily. The knife he held covered in blood.
My jaws clenched as another one tried prying the sword off me.
"The empty room down in the dungeon." I answered back. "You wanna try it?"
"No thanks- ack-!" Just as a man in front of him went down, Khun's knees buckled under him.
"Oh fuck- Khun!" I rushed towards him sprinting.
The small gash on his legs won't kill him.
But I know what will.
"Y/n-"
It was like a flash of light. A whole blur.
I pushed Khun away, taking his place.
The pain I Felt in my chest wasn't as painful as the desperate look Khun gave me after he finally realized what I had done.
The arrow lodged right into my heart.
"Y/N!!" Khun screamed. I could hear his sobs as the he grabbed me, placing me in his lap. "No no no no- it'll be okay- I- you're going to be okay-" he cried.
Khun's hands trembled as he gripped onto my shoulders harder. His tears falling down from his chin and onto my face.
"Khun.."
"Shh! Save your breath- I- I-"
"Khun. It's fine."
"It's not fine!" He sobbed, burying his head on my bloody chest.
My hand ran down his hair soothingly.
He looked at me in the eye, tears streaming down.
"Maybe we'll meet again." I chuckled dryly. "In another world-"
Khun panicked after hearing me start a coughing fit. A string of blood forced its way out my mouth.
I caressed his cheek, wiping away the non-stop tears for the last time.
Before my hand dropped down lifeless.
....

I closed my book with a sigh. I'll continue it later. How the hell did I become a writer...
I viewed the picture on my desk.
Her smile was my brightest star... She was my star...
After her death, we finished the war. Thanks to the sword she had, Bam was able to use it and end it all.
I wish we could have had more time together. I wish we could cherish this peace with each other.

"Y/n, what are you reading?"
I closed the book, looking at the man leaning against the bedroom door frame.
"Hmm, should I tell you?" I teased.
He only lifted his brow, a smirk on his lips.
"Well anyway, breakfast is ready."
I gasped, jumping from my seat. "What'cha made??"
Khun only chuckled, fixing his bracelet.
"Something special only for my fiance."

Needletongue, Carrotcake
The world isn't fair. If anything, the inherent injustice of the world is what separates it from the fiction we so adore. Luis Freighthold knew this all too well, and that was why it took a bit longer than it should have to realise when he suddenly had everything he could ever have wanted. Raised in a working-class single-father home, Luis had no other escape than fiction. Specifically, vampire stories of varying quality and genre. There was something appealing about the ability to fly, turn into shadows and become smoke. Danger. An unfamiliarity with the social world that rejected him so. Was it so wrong for him to hope for a different life? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, now he had it—a lust for blood and abilities beyond the understanding of civil man. Could you really say that he had anything left to complain about? A vampire story following an unconventional vampire boy forced to accept that maybe becoming a vampire doesn't magically solve all your problems. As a matter of fact, it might just make a whole bunch of them even worse. Regardless, Luis is prepared to try everything to live up to the vampire books he had previously gorged on. What did it matter that his vampire form had no teeth, replaced instead by a long, needle-tipped tongue? He was still a vampire, wasn't he? Chapters are around 10 A4 pages long, releasing once a week on Mondays, 01:00 CET.
