authors note: I was reading the last chapter (31) while listening to the song Not About Angels and it made me cry. Ik the song might not relate, but it's just such a beautiful song :(
Also, um this chapter includes underage drinking like almost every other chapter in this story so um don't drink underage, or over-drink at any age. K? Luv u.
Noah's POV
Eventually, me and Marcus left the hospital. I haven't cried in forever, but Brianna stood out to me from everyone else when I first met her. Her and her horrible British impression. She reminded me so much of myself. I know they say opposites attract, but that's not the case with me and Brianna.
But Marcus is my dude. So I try to keep it to myself.
I know he loves her.
But I also know that I do too.
You can't limit yourself to the joys of this world, otherwise you'll waste your life in lonely silence.
But maybe for your friends it's okay.
It's hard to see someone you care about lifeless, and unresponsive.
He takes me back home. Unlike him, I'm completely comfortable with drinking away my problems.
I live with my mom, who hates me. She doesn't mistreat me, I'm just a handful. I get it.
I stare at my ceiling and drink. The alcohol burns my throat as it goes down. I like the burning sensation. I know that as it goes into my stomach, I'll become more and more numb and won't have to worry about feelings.
Twenty minutes later, I'm angry. I guess alcohol doesn't get rid of all emotions.
I call Marcus.
"Can you come get me?"
"And take you where?" He asks.
"I'll tell you when you get here."
"Yeah. Be there in 10."
We hang up. I slide my shoes on and go downstairs.
"Noah!" My mom calls.
I look at her.
"Where are you going?"
"Hanging with Marcus." I say.
"Have you been drinking? You're 17!!"

"I'm fine." I snap, leaving.
She didn't deserve that. She doesn't deserve any of the shit I put her through. I know she loves me, but it's hard to express love to someone who causes the gray hairs on your head.
My dad lives about 30 minutes away from my mom, and I visit him every now and then.
I go outside and Marcus pulls up.
I get in the car. He had took a shower and brushed his hair, but his eyes were red. He had been crying.
"So what's your plan?"
"Every god damned person on this list is about to see what the hell they've caused."
"Bro, we're on the list." He says, looking at me like I'm dumb.
"I mean the people who made her do this." I say through gritted teeth.
All of a sudden his eyes fill with anger just like mine.
"Let's do this shit, man." He says.
He speeds through the streets before pulling up to Brianna's house.
We see her dads truck in the driveway.
We get out and go knock on the door.
He opens it.
Marcus steps in front of me.
Things could get crazy.
MARCUS' POV
I step in front of Noah.
This asshole is nothing. Brianna didn't clearly say how he's abusive, except at the end. Whether it's verbal or physical, I don't care. He's dead if he says one wrong thing.
"Are you aware that your daughter is in a coma with a 30% chance of living!" I shout at him.
"Stop yelling! Brianna?"
I bump my way into the house.
"What other daughter did you have?" I yell.
"I've seen you before." He says, pointing at me.
"Yeah and I've seen your ass before too, asshole. But answer the damn question."
"What question?"
Noah steps in front of me.
"Did you know your daughter is in a coma with a 30% chance of living?"
"No, she's not my concern anymore." He says.

I throw the note at him.
"Read the first part of that damn note, you piece of shit."
He reads it.
"You didn't tell me the little bitch killed herself." He says.
I grab him by his shirt, and slam him against the wall behind him.
"What the hell did you just call her?"
He doesn't respond.
"I'll call the cops on you!" He eventually says.
"You'll be the one arrested for abusing her 24/7." I say, positive he does.
"Did she tell you?" He asks.
I slam him harder against the wall. He grunts and makes the ugliest face.
"She didn't have to tell me." I yell.
Noah comes up to me and shoves me out of the way.
Noah pushes him with one hand.
"You put your damned hands on her?"
"The bitch deserves it. Who the hell even are you?"
"We are her god damned friends, and if she can't stick up for herself, we're gonna do it for her." Noah says.
Noah slings him away, and I push him down and punch him in his face multiple times. Noah joins.
We get up. His nose is busted, along with his lip. His eye would probably be black later.
"She's gonna die. She's gonna die and your gonna be wondering why you did this for no reason."
I look back at him.
"She's gonna make it, asshole. And even if she wasn't, there was all the reason for this." I say, slamming the door as I exit.
We get back in the car and I speed off. The next destination was to the school.
I was going to make my way to the intercom and read the part to everyone at school, and I'm going to personally confront the blue eyes bitch, because I have a feeling I know who she is.
Gracie Carter.
A girl who's been obsessed with me since 6th grade.
I send Noah with the note to read off the part to the school. Then I confront Gracie. She was at her locker.
"Hey Marcus!" She says.
"Don't hey me. Did you know that Brianna tried to killed herself and the way you treated her was one reason why?"
Her face looks shocked.
"Me. N-no, I didn't- it's not my fault." She says, her eyes tearing up.
It might sound like she's trying to make excuses, but, I think she couldn't handle the pain of knowing she might be the cause of someone's death.
"I-is She Okay?" She says, the tears falling down her face.
"No. She is in the hospital with only a 30% chance of living."
She begins to wipe her face, but more and more tears fall.
She slams her hand against the locker.
"Shit!" She yells.
She puts her arm against her locker, buries her head in her arm, and cries.
I begin to walk away.
She calls my name, I look at her.
"If you're ever able to talk to her, please, tell her I'm sorry."
I nod, and continue to walk away, just as the announcements come on and Noah's voice is behind it.
He reads the part of the note to the people at school, and then gives his own lecture before you hear him being stopped by the principal.
I hear the hallways get loud, and students being loud.
People who mistreated her, suddenly care. They are suddenly talking about how they hope she's okay, and all the OMG's were getting on my nerves.
James and Jackson run up to me.
"Shit, I'm sorry bro." Jackson says.
"Yeah me too." I say.
Noah runs up to me and hands me the note and I hand it to James and Jackson so they can read their part. They do, and curse out loud.
They hand it back, and me and Noah leave.
I had a feeling they had more questions but I wasn't in the mood to answer them. Plus, we had to do some research to find the others on the list.
no one cares until it's all over, and by then, it's too late.
