《Kita Shinsuke》Chapter 7

She hopped up the hill singing a song on her way. It was a song I had heard before, on the radio I think. Her voice was soft and calming. Her voice wasn't high but it wasn't low.
She made it to the top of the hill and disappeared. I could hear her voice she was still singing but I couldn't see her. I didn't even realise that she had let my hand go.
I picked up the pace and finally made it up to the top of the hill. She was sitting on a swing. It was an old swing, she was holding onto the string swinging back and forth.
Her (length) (colour) was blowing in the wind. I walked closer to her. I walked behind her and leaned against the tree and hummed along with her voice.
Kita was humming along to the song I was singing. I pushed myself back and forward on the swing looking up at the sky. I loved moments like this.
One of the only times where it wasn't loud but it wasn't quiet. I didn't feel any stress at all. I felt like I could just let go.
"That now our dreams they finally come true." I sang.
He hummed along with my voice. I got up off the swing and started to dance. "I don't care if I know just where I will go," I crooned.
His eyes followed my steps as I twisted and turned around the swing. He let out a soft smile. I could see it out of the corner of my eyes. It made me smile even more. I felt like I was lighting up with joy.
Just two teenagers singing on a hill. That's normal right?
"City of stars are you shining just for me?" I danced around in a circle.

I danced up to edge of the hill and leaned on the banister. The city looked beautiful, lights everywhere. The moon was just above the tallest building there and it looked perfect.
A drizzle started and we were far from the house. The rain got heavier by the second and I was getting soaked. I had stopped singing at this point.
I felt a hand at my waist and I got pulled away from the banister. I was pulled under the oak tree. The rain was still falling but I wasn't getting as wet.
"You were going to catch a cold out there." Kita said to me. "But it was so pretty." I said pushing my hand out. Raindrops dropped onto my fingers as I bent them down.
He let out a soft laugh and let his head drop into my shoulder. I pulled my arm back in and looked around. Kita was basically hugging me so I didn't move to much. The rain was getting worse and worse and the tree didn't help to much.
"We should probably head back now." Kita said raising his head. "Yep!" I smiled. He still had his arms around me hips but he lifted them up. I stepped forward to give him a bit of room.
My clothes were soaked and were getting wetter by the second.
I felt something soft around my shoulders. A loose cloth, Kita's top. It was his red top, the one he wore to all the practice sessions and matches.
"Come on let's get home quickly," he said grabbing my hand. "But won't you be cold." I said grabbing his top. "I won't be that cold anyway." I said looking forward.
We ran down the hill. Kita's top protecting me from any rainfall. The rain didn't seem to be clearing at all. We ran past the wigwag and down the rest of the hill.

We ran across the park past the huge tree then made it to the house. I opened the door slowly not making to much noise. I flipped off my shoes and ran up to the kitchen. I turned on the heat so that we could have showers.
I ran upstairs and stepped into my room and changed into some baggy clothes. I tiptoed into Atsumu and Osamu and grabbed a pair of trousers and a top.
I hopped back down the stairs and went up to Kita. He wasn't at the door or at the kitchen. I walked into the sitting room in hopes to find him there. He was standing there, shirtless. I stood there for a second not a noise coming out of my mouth. I dropped the clothes on the floor. "H-here are y-your clothes." I said in a soft shout. I shut the door and ran into the bathroom.
