《FOR GOD SAKE KITA SHINSUKE! || KITA SHINSUKE [COMPLETED]》52: 1st day

To say, Ayumu wasn't nervous anymore unlike the night before. She even had intent to yell at Kita when the captain was throwing his jacket away hastily once he entered the court. What did he thought himself was? A runaway model on a red carpet? Enough with Atsumu and Osamu been all stars in the court as their fans were squealing over them and the twins acted all fabulously as they waved back towards their fansㅡand Ayumu had no energy to deal with Kita's fabulous side too.
Don't worry, she didn't yell at him at all only cussed inside her mind with her pursing lips. The jacket really took her out of guard. If she didn't catch it right at the moment, guess who gonna be all grumpy and cranky if the jacket touched the court? Who else? Of course the clean freak, Kita Shinsuke.
Her heart was furiously beating like a drum got beaten in the festival ever since she set her feet in the arena. Many players of different schools were everywhere. Ayumu looked from right to left with her sparkly eyes. There was excitement glinted in her dark irises. She still remembered the goosebump she got at the moment of starting ceremony started, with all music and instrument played at the background.
She was proud to be here, at the arena of Spring Tournament with her team. Ayumu could not contain her smile when the announcer announced her team name.
Inarizaki Highschool, representative of Hyogo.
Ayumu acknowledged that her school was a powerhouse school when it came to volleyball. And that should not be something to be surprise but to Ayumu, it felt like new to her everytime she heard people praising Inarizaki.
Whenever their first game started, she sat beside her coaches on the bench with her book and a pencil in her hold. Every moment her team members scored the points, her hand would gripped tighter around her pencil. Also, the time when Atsumu was tossing the ball to the spikers, it somehow made Ayumu felt she was the one at the court and her brother was tossing to her.
Miya Atsumu, best setter of highschool.
Ayumu would glance towards Kita sometime as the captain was standing among the other players at the substitute spot. Yet, the captain wasn't look at her even by a single second. Or so she thought. Kita knew that, if he had eye contacted with Ayumu's there were messages delivered through her eyes.
Yer not getting in? When will ya get in? I wanna see ya playing. Should I recommand ya to sensei?
Kita would look at her way when he felt Ayumu didn't look at him anymore. Getting in the court or stay out at the bench, were nothing that Kita could decide. Every decision for the best game was in their coaches' hand. And Kita believed, Ayumu understood and did not forget about that.
Inarizaki won their first game by 2-0. Their first match on the first day, they managed to continue for the next match on the next day. Ayumu wondered who would be their next opponent. Meanwhile, the members were having their lunch after their game, Ayumu went for the mounting board nearby where the board had some papers attached.

A shudder sigh left her lips whenever she saw the next opponent of Inarizaki on the second day. It was her bestfriend's school, Karasuno Highschool. Her teeth unconsiously grazed her lower lips. Beside of excitement by the thoughts of having a match against the school who beat Shiratorizawa, there also stirred something uneasy inside her heart. Ayumu's hand balled into a tight fist.
The day really come, doesn't it Tobio?
Shaking off Ayumu from her own thoughts, Kita's hand held her shoulder. She swiftly turned to face him. Her eyes were big staring back at him.
" Fukurodani's game still on going. Wanna go watch? " he asked. That instantly buried her uneasiness away. " Ya know, yer no need to ask." She grinned and snatched Kita's hand as she dragged Kita with her.
"Let's go watch Bokuto-san's match! Bokuto-san! Here I come!"
"Miya, slow down."
Whenever they arrived by the side of the court at the sub arena, Kita was leaving bewildered as he got surprised with Bokuto's emo mood in the middle of Fukurodani game. Unlike how blinking eyes Kita was in confusion, there was Ayumu softly giggled upon the view of one of her favourite ace.
"That's what we call Bokuto's emo mood." She giggled.
"Doesn't he is the captain and the ace?" Kita asked. Ayumu grinned widder and winked at him before she clung around Kita's arm.
"That's one of the reason what make Fukurodani is special." She said. " But. . . Look."
Ayumu nodded towards the court, where Akaashi; Fukurodani's setter was pointing on somewhere which Ayumu believed he was in the middle of building Bokuto's spirit and brought back the Ace to the real state. And when the game continue, with Akaashi's “power”, Bokuto indeed scoring at last. For few times in a row.
As expected from an Ace.
"HEY!HEY!HEY!" Bokuto cheered which made everyone in the sub arena applaused and cheering along side of him. That also included Miya Ayumu who would never miss a chance to cheer with the ace of Fukurodani. One arm clung around Kita whilst the other was shot up in the air as her hand balled into a fist.
"Hey!Hey!Hey!"
Kita sketched his lips with a small smile as his eyes could not gaze away from excited Ayumu. Her eyes were smiling like a pair of cresent moon and her lips was stretching wide in a big smile.
How much she loves the ace of Fukurodani huh?ㅡ Kita's heart whispered. He hastily caressed her head that escaped some soft giggles from her. After the game of Fukurodani ended, the two went back to their team at the main arena.
"Shin, I just realise how similar yer are with Bokuto-san." Ayumu said which made Kita rose his eyebrows.
"I'm not the ace." He replied. "If that what ya think we same."
"Uhuh. That's not it. It yer guys appeal. Yer guys brown eyes. And yer guys hair. Just, what make the different is Bokuto-san's hair is spiky and his black hair isn't at the tip of his hair like yours." She said, sounded so proud as she pinpointed out the similarities.

"Ouh."
That's the only word that Kita could utter as the answer. Ayumu glared at him and lightly pinched his arm.
"Don't 'ouh' me."
"Then, what ya wanna hear from me for the answer?"
Ayumu huffed and looked away. Not like Kita lied though. What she could expect an answer from him anyway. It was Kita Shinsuke after all. It would be surprising if he being all talkative out of sudden.
"Anyway. . ." Ayumu voiced out again. She tighter her arm around Kita's. " Since we are talking about Fukurodani, wanna hear something more about them?" She gazed up at him.
"Sure. Go on." He replied. At least, Kita wasn't heartless to crash her excitement to talk about the school.
"Ya know, usually it always captain who pulled the members with him but it different when it comes to Fukurodani. In Fukurodani, its the members who pull their captain with them." She said. " Like yer saw just now, on how Bokuto-san been in emo mood, that's didn't put disadvantages at all on Fukurodani side. If yer realise, even the time when Bokuto-san in the emo mood, Fukurodani still able to catch up with the opponent."
Kita listened to her without interuption. Upon her eyes there was clearly shown her admiration and her thoughtfullness of Fukurodani.
"Bokuto-san is like a special force within Fukurodani. Not having him in the team would not bring any bad things but by having him, it will bring a lot of great things to the team." She smiled widely. "Because of Bokuto-san always gone emo mood, the team somehow know well how to adapt it. Hence, that will make their team bond stronger."
"Why? He can be all emo mood?" Kita asked her.
"Why? Because, Bokuto-san is someone who love to get praise, wants people to look at him..Ya can say, he loves attention. Like, the more the audience who focus on him, cheering for him, the stronger he will get. That's why, if ya heard from the crowds, not like Bokuto-san got block yet. It because, sub arena isn't as big main arena. Ya get what I try to say right?"
Kita nodded. "Their setter must be doing a good job back then."
"He is!" Ayumu grinned. "Akaashi-san, the setter is the one who always bring the captain back to the track. What amazing about him is, he no need to take a long time to unseal what way to bring back Bokuto-san. Just in a few second or around that. He is in his second year for now. When the third years members are out of idea to bring Bokuto-san back, there Akaashi-san in rescue."
Kita looked at her and tucked some of hair behind her ear. "Did one of ya dream to enter Fukurodani before? Ya know alot of stuff about the school."
"Fukurodani team already has two managers if I'm not mistaken. So, I don't think they would accept new manager in a moment. Since am looking for the manager spot, of course that would be the first reason to reject" Ayumu smiled. " But honestly saying, the only school in my list are Seijoh and Inarizaki. If I continue staying at Miyagi, Seijoh would be the school I would go for. But now since I move to Hyogo, its Inarizaki I chose."
"I'm glad yer came." He said as Ayumu rolled her eyes.
"Don't be all corny out of nowhere." Ayumu laughed. "I came to Inarizaki because of my brothers not ya."
" I acknowledge that. Don't remind me." Kita responded.
That made Ayumu laughed harder. She leaned her head against his arm, clung onto him. How fast Kita changed his voice from all “overwhelm” to “fine. Not like I care” voice.
"Shin, I always find how amusing it is when a best duo of a setter and this one specific spiker. Like...Tsumu-nii and Samu-nii. Akaashi-san and Bokuto-san. Tooru-nii and Iwa-nii. Not forgetting to, Kageyama andㅡ"
Her words suddenly halted when her eyes caught Kageyama and two of his friends by a store nearby. Ayumu was oblivious on how her hand suddenly gripped onto Kita's arm.
"Yer can go talk with him if ya want." Kita nodded towards Kageyama.
"No." She quickly replied to him. "It's fine. We are going to meet him on court tomorrow anyway. Now,let's get back to our team."
She pulled Kita with her without peered a glance towards Kageyama's way. There was something off about her and Kita wasn't wait for long as he stopped on his track that made Ayumu to stop as well.
"What's wrong? Yer are avoiding him." Kita said.
"I didn't." She denied with a smile.
"Miya, yer are tense right now." Kita said, cupping her side of profile.
Ayumu closed her eyes as she breathed out. Kita's eyes were on her.
"Tell me. What is it." Kita persuaded her.
"Karasuno beat Shiratorizawa." Ayumu uttered.
"And?" He awaited for more.
"And I don't know what's wrong with me. I feel uneasy about it." She said.
No wonder he found her all tense by the mounting board just now. This was what bothering her.
"So what with that? By mean Karasuno beat Shiratorizawa, it makes them a strong opponent doesn't it? And what make a great game? A game with a strong opponent, right?" He said.
"Did ya realise, if we lost the game, it will be the last for ya." She reminded him.
"I acknowledge that. So, what's wrong with it? That's how sport works. There will be a winner and the one who lose. Ya know that too right?" He said.
I know. But losing this game its mean I'm losing ya, Shin.
