《Falling For You {Kita Shinsuke}》{Chapter 6: A Day With Kita}

It was the weekend finally, however it hardly felt like the weekend due to the ruckus that was happening downstairs.
The twins were fighting yet again, throwing profanities and insults at each other. I was in my room, trying to block out the noise downstairs.
"SHUT UP, YER PIECE OF TRASH"
"WHO ARE YER CALLIN' TRASH, YER PIG"
"YOU OBVIOUSLY, ARE YER STUPID AS WELL?!?!?"
I could feel the headache coming.
This is what I wake up to...I was hoping for some peace and quiet...
I took out my phone, clicking on a contact and messaging them.
Kita, please help me
Are you ok? What happened?
The twins have been fighting ever since this morning and I don't want to deal with them...
I was going to go and buy some materials for a hobby of mine but I don't want to go downstairs
I'll pick you up in 10 minutes, hang in there for a while
You're a lifesaver, thank you so much, I'll make any food you want
You're welcome, I'll think about that offer
I read his response before I put my phone down and got ready to leave.
After some time passed, my phone went off, reading the message before I went out of my room and stood at the very top of the flight of stairs, listening in on what was happening.
"Eh?!?! Kita-senpai?!?!?" the twins exclaimed, shocked that their senpai was in their house, catching them fighting again.
"Hello, yer should really stop causing yer sister so much grief" Kita said seriously.
"W-we're sorry" the twins apologised profusely.
I walked downstairs and saw Kita, my dark grey eyes looking into his dull brown ones, thankfully.
"Thank you so much, Kita" I thanked him as soon as we got outside.
"It was my pleasure, now where do yer want to go?" Kita said, walking beside me.

It was such a nice day out, the gentle wind blowing through my hair as the warm smiling sun shone down on us.

We went into a small fabric store as the bell rung, signalling the store owner that we were entering.
"Oh, Miya-chan! I haven't seen you in a while" Aikawa-san, the store owner greeted, waving happily.
"Aikawa-san! How are you?" I replied, smiling after seeing her.
"I'm doing good!! And who's this?" the middle-aged woman asked, smiling at Kita.
"Hello, my name is Kita Shinsuke" Kita answered, bowing politely.
"How polite!" Aikawa-san commented, Kita smiling in response.

Kita and I were looking through the various yarns, deciding which one I should purchase.
Do I want the dark blue one...or the red one...
"Hmmm, Kita" I finally called out, catching his attention.
"Which yarn should I buy? I can't seem to choose between them" I asked him.
Kita walked next to me and looked at the yarn curiously, his fingers under his chin, thinking.
He looks so cute...what?...
I thought while mentally slapping myself as I looked away from him.
"Hm, what are yer making with this?" he asked, bringing me out of my thoughts.
"I was thinking of knitting a sweater for the winter" I answered, while shaking off my thoughts.
Kita then looked back at the yarns and picked out the dark blue yarn, handing it to me.
"Here, this'll probably be good" he answered, brushing his fingers against mine.
"T-thanks, let's go checkout" I stuttered, trying to ignore my thoughts.
What is happening to me...
We walked up to the counter and I paid for my materials after Aikawa-san packed away my various items in a few paper bags.
I went to pick up the bags when a hand grabbed them before me.
"I'll carry them" Kita said, stopping me.
"Y-you don't have to" I stuttered out again.
What's with me today?...why am I stuttering so much...
After going back and forth, Kita managed to convince me, holding the bags in triumph.
"He's such a good boyfriend, Miya-chan" Aikawa commented, smiling at the two of us.
"W-we're not dating" I told her.

"Well then Kita-san, you should make your move on her soon~" Aikawa teased as mine and Kita's cheeks flushed red.
"A-Aikawa-san!!" I stammered, shocked at her teasing.
"I'm just teasing, Miya-chan!!"

By this time, the sun was about to set, the sky coloured pink as I breathed in the spring air.
We decided to walk to the park and continue our conversation.
It was a peaceful day, a nice break from all the yelling and chaos my household usually produces.
Finally, I've been waiting for a break since the week started...I should go to Miyagi and visit Obaa-san so we can knit together...
I thought while walking through the park.
While walking, I saw children playing as their laughter was contagious to their parents watching.
I smiled softly as I kept walking.
This is so peaceful...such a nice change from being at home and school...
Kita and I sat under a tree which over looked the park and shaded us from the sun's setting rays. We started to talk about our plans for the future and other topics.
"Unfortunately, my grandmother is already looking forward to my wedding" Kita sighed out, leaning his head on the tree.
I desperately tried not to laugh, failing miserably as my laugher rung in the air as Kita looked at me.
"Oi, don't laugh, it isn't funny" he said, slightly pouting.
I only laughed harder, eyes tearing up.
"Oi, I said stop it, Miya" Kita said, pinching both of my cheeks and pulling them.
"OUCH, OK OK OK, I'M SORRY" I apologised, grabbing his hands, trying to pry his hand off my face.
"Let go, it hurts" I whined, trying to pry off Kita's hands.
After calming down and prying off Kita's hands off my face, we sat in a comforting silence.
"I have a practice match next week at school, do yer wanna come?" Kita asked, breaking the silence, turning his head to look at me.
"Of course, yer can't possibly handle the twins on yer own" I replied.
I felt a light flick on my forehead as I let out a 'Hey!!!' while rubbing my forehead and being dramatic, seeing Kita rolling his eyes at my behaviour.
"It's getting late, I'll walk ya home" Kita declared, looking at me, his voice and eyes basically telling me that I couldn't disagree.
"Alright, alright" I replied, rolling my eyes.
Kita stood up and held his hand out for me to grab.
I looked at his hand before I grabbed it, Kita pulling me up.
"Thanks" I said, my hand still in his as Kita's eyes stared at me with a soft look.
My heart is literally going to explode...Kita please stop looking at me like that...
"K-Kita" I called out, looking away from him.
"Yes?" he answered, oblivious.
"M-my hand" I told him, my cheeks coloured a light pink.
He let go of my hand, flustered.
"S-sorry, let's go now" he stuttered while picking up the bags once again.
We made our way out of the park in silence, with light blushes on our cheeks.
"Thanks for today, Kita" I said, after he gave me my bags.
"My pleasure, I had fun today" Kita replied, smiling at me.
"I did too" I chimed, smiling back.
There was a silence, before Kita walked closer toward me and gave me a kiss on the forehead.
"Huh?" I let out flustered and confused at the same time.
Kita laughed at my reaction.
"It's payback for a few days ago" he teased.
I stared at him for a few moments before coming to a realisation.
"I-I normally do that with the twins whenever they're sick" I explained, feeling my cheeks beginning to heat up from embarrassment.
"Hm, I don't mind it" he replied.
What does that supposed to mean?!
"I'll see ya at school, Miya" Kita waved, smiling at me softly.
"Bye, Kita!" I replied waving back.
I hope we can do this again...
I thought while smiling fondly, walking inside my house.
