My word! Someone's stolen the rutabagas! Or was it Mrs. Wilkerson's prized bichon-frise? Or maybe it was Archer Beauregard's antique teacups with the golden macrame edges! Whatever shall do about it?
We're challenging you to create a for us this week. But what on Earth is a cozy mystery, you ask? Generally, it means one that is so fun, lighthearted, humorous it would put Scooby Doo and the gang to shame. They often star amateur sleuths as protagonists who take it upon themselves to solve the curious crime affecting their beloved neighborhood. Keep the violence and sexy stuff for another time: this week we're all about small-town sleuths saving the day.

The Spider's Lair (Vomit Draft)
A group calling themselves ‘The Starlight Spear’ ventures into a dungeon known as ‘The Spider’s Lair’ in the hopes to recover the treasure it possesses. Along with their newest member Morana, what could possibly go wrong? This 'Novella' -ha Novel* will follow the stories of a few main characters centering around a coherent plot. Theo Wood is an elf who joins a new criminal guild in the city of Leeside known as the 'Webbed Children', Sabrina Black is a young orphan girl developing strange new abilities, and Saurus, a Lord Commander put in charge for the recapture of Wetbrook--a town consumed by giant spiders! There will also be some interludes surrounding supporting characters. I'm using Royal Road to publish my first drafts, like throwing paint 'or shit' at a canvas to see what sticks. The writing quality will be the main focus in draft two (You've been warned), and I'm using the first draft mainly as a loose outline for the plot. I will also try and 'show, not tell' in draft two. This is my first attempt at a novel! Any help or advice is much appreciated! If you want to support me! Cyrus’s soul was taken to partake in an event called DC BG (The Dungeon Core Battle Games). It’s eternal death if he loses meaning he can no longer reincarnate or go back to his previous world. The winner will be granted any wish of their choosing. There are 6 color core clans that he must go up against. They all come from the rainbow, so they all have different elements. A new color was added to mix which is his color. Can you guess which one it is? He must become a dungeon core and strengthen it for any intruders and the future battle games. Due to there being 7 different core clans, the battle games last for 7 years and then new representatives will be chosen.

Intro: The system swept over the earth, wrenching everyone from their normal lives and throwing them into new worlds made of chaos and insanity. The rules that once governed the world have shifted. The laws that once bound people, both the dangerous and the kind, have vanished. Now, life is all about advancement, pushing your numbers and skills higher and higher. Alone on a distant world, Max Grand instead must now prove himself, not to the system that now governs his entire world, but to his companions and best friends. Follow Max on his journey through space, through time, through space again, meeting people, going places, and doing things. All the nouns. Note About myself: I am only a hobbyest writer. I hope the internet doesn't expect novel level content from me. I have seen what others on the internet, and even more so this website, can produce and aspire to reach their level. I have no Idea what will come of this, but it should at least be a fun experience for all involve. The writing improves gradually as the chapters go on. I invariably learn some stuff after writing a bunch, finding what works and what doesn't. I definately need to work on paceing and dialouge and flow. The Guild Master issues you the test. In Riverdale Village, there is a great fiend attempting to resurrect a powerful demon... You must investigate the town, find the villain and his conspirators and thwart their plot! How will you do so? Will you work with the town, who may or may not be conspirators, or go at it with your team alone? Use your judgement and logic to determine the best path to proceed and deliver justice upon the villains! (This is a choose-your-own adventurer theme fiction. I've browsed the site fairly well... But have yet to encounter this genre. If you do know of one here, do tell me. That aside, this novel is still incomplete... This is just to show that I'm not dead yet, nor have I given up.)

Guess what, that inclueds Jake. Now, trapped alone in a cage made from a valley uprooted from Earth, Jake must learn to survive as everything is flooded with some energy he'd never seen nor imagined before; let's call it Qi. As everything changes, and the lines between fact and fiction blur, Jake will learn that his land, and by extension him, are far more important than anyone realizes. And the bastard who destroyed Earth? Well, he'll get what's coming, one way or another.
