One of the many asked questions in the cartoon universe comes from a cartoon called Phineas & Ferb, a show about 2 young step-brothers who invent whacky things in a world where summer never ends!!! Well, until it does. Phineas & Ferb's endless summer ended in June 12th, 2015. That's a little over 5 years ago! (From the time I publish this chapter)

After 4 Seasons, 222 Episodes, A film, A special, and a crossover with Milo Murphy's Law we still don't know who Phineas' Dad (or Ferb's mom but we aren't talking about that today) is. A film will be releasing on Disney+ on August 28th, 2020. So maybe we will get an answer to who their parents are!

The most obvious person who could be his dad is Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz. Here is the proof.

#1. There head shape -

Soooo, the first thing probably everyone ever notices about the two is there triangular heads and hair. Just take a look.

#2. They both build crazy inventions -

Both Phineas and Doof have built some crazy things. In just season 1 Phineas made a time machine, an escalator to the moon, a roller coaster, and put Candace's face on Mount Rushmore.

Dr. D made a Magnetism Magnifier, the Destruct-inator, an age Accelerator-inator, the Melt-inator 6-5000, and Norm the Giant Killer Robot Man. That's just a few things from season 1.

They both also are very careless about how their inventions effect people and the environment. Phineas is just a child so that's easy to explain but Doof on the other hand I don't know. It may be from all the childhood trauma.

#3. Phineas' endless funds for his inventions -

Charlene, Doof's ex-wife, is rich an pays him a hefty alimony that he uses to fund his own schemes. Some of this money could also go to Phineas since he is, in this situation, Linda and Heinz's son.

#4. Perry the Platypus -

In the show Phineas' pet, Perry the Platypus, works for OWCA. His job is to prevent any of Dr. D's schemes from happening. But not all of his schemes are bad, rarely any of them are truly evil. So why was Perry, one of the best agents at OWCA, assigned to Doof?

When OWCA put Perry up for adoption, they knew his destiny was to stop evil. Like in Wander Over Yonder there is a type of tier to the villains. In Wander Over Yonder, Lord Hater is at the bottom most of the time because he just isn't that good at being evil and Lord Dominator is the best. In the Phineas and Ferb universe, Dr. DoofenDaddy is at the bottom of the list in the organization known as LOVEMUFFIN.

But their plan for Perry was compromised when Phineas Flynn and his brother Ferb Fletcher adopted him. Through Perry and the rest of the gadgets around their house, OWCA figured out that Phineas was Doof's son so Perry's new mission was to keep the two from ever meeting.

In Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension we see what happens when they do meet. Doof's invention succeeds and it brings great chaos to the gang, OWCA, and even Doof. If custody was given to Doof, they would be the greatest villains of all time.

#5. Linda Flynn-Fletcher & Charlene Doofenshmirtz -

Linda and Charlene actually know each other and hang out regularly throughout the show. They attend the same classes and carpool together. Their personalities are the same though Charlene is more sarcastic. They are both the presumably the same age since Candace and Vanessa are the same age. Speaking of Candace and Vanessa, they also share similarities. They both are trying to bust someone, they are the same age and they too hang out. They like Mary McGuffin dolls, Candace even welcomed Vanessa to the world of Ducky Momo.

It's safe to say that Linda and Charlene met each other through DoofenDaddy and started to hang out. After Linda married and Charlene did... whatever Charlene does, lost touch for awhile since they learn about the others teenage daughter and started to hang out again.

#6. Linda and DoofenDaddy actually dated -

During their late teenage years, Heinz and Linda actually dated each other.

In the episode "What Do It Do" Doofenshmirtz's date with Linda got off to a bad start as he made her ride in his trunk all the way to the drive-in movie theater so he wouldn't have to pay for her ticket then says that they could split the cost of the ticket. Linda hears a song she really likes on the radio and comments that it makes her want to become a pop star. Heinz responds by very sarcastically saying that she'll be a pop star and he's going to rule the world. Linda says that she doesn't see why that couldn't happen and suggests that he start smaller: with the Tri-State Area. Heinz then tries to use an invention of his to listen to the movie, but it instead made the TV shoot off into the sky and break when it came back down. he then asks if they can hold hands, but Linda orders him to take her home.
