Watching him glare at me with the utmost hatred is one thing. But having loved him once is another.

It's harder to hate him when I loved him so much that my heart couldn't handle it.

"You're pathetic. How could you just think that spending time with you would make you feel better?" He mocks me.

It was a way of coping with everything for me. I spent time with people I loved so I could forget about my problems of anxiety but I just....couldn't anymore.

"I was so wrong about you. I thought it was special, you were so sweet, so nice, and now look at you..." my voice drops to a whisper at the end.

But I keep my clear face on. The only thing showing my weakness being the crack in my voice.

"You are too much to handle. And too much of a burden for me to be with you. It's the reason I left you." He scoffs as if being with me for even a moment brings disgust to him.

"I can't believe it," I whisper staggering back into something.

Instantly arms wrap around my shoulder, holding me in a tight hug and I realise what I deserve. It's him. The one that is holding me. Not the one that is in front of me watching me with such a foul expression.

"He isn't worth of your time or words. He isn't worth you even looking at. Let's go," Toby tells me while glaring at Matthew. My ex-boyfriend.

Toby is one person I thought I never deserved because of the scars Matthew left.

But now I realise, Toby made me realise, that he never deserved me. Not the other way around.

My heart swells with joy, happiness and giddiness I feel around Toby. With a closet filled with black clothes, he is what you call the bad boy. Except he isn't one. He is the most sweetest person you would meet despite his harsh demure.

"I love you Toby," I mutter as soon as we are away from Matthew who probably has steam coming out of his ears at us leaving him hanging like that.

He always wants to have the last word but with Toby, it seems to be a different case.

Toby stops in his tracks and freezes.

Slowly moving away from me, he peers down at me with wide eyes.

"What?" He whispers as if in disbelief.

"I love you." I say more confidently.

He blinks, watching me for confirmation before a grin spreads across his face and he leaps at me, taking hold of my face and pressing a soft yet passionate kiss on my lips making me smile.

"You said it back! You said I love you back!" He grins once backing away from the kiss.

He told me he loved me just yesterday but I didn't say it back because I wanted closure from Matthew. I don't know what I wanted but after today's last encounter with him, everything seems so much more clear.

I love Toby and he is the only one who has my full heart. Despite it being broken, he takes care of it and each delicate piece of it.

He looks at me in a way that you would see heart eyes. His clear chocolate eyes glowing under the scorching sun as his just as chocolate hair falls on his forehead. Leaning down, he presses kisses all over my face making me burst into giggles returning that giddy feeling.

"You. Are. Mine." He practically growls pressing a kiss between each word.

Taking his face in my hands, I lean up pressing a chaste kiss on his lips before saying something he should know.

"And you are mine." He picks me up before spinning around making me laugh and feel the most joy I have ever felt.

Only he brings that feeling and only he will. He is my forever. And he is my happiness.
