《Delightful》Quiet in the library

I have got to be the only person in my friend group that has to always stay behind because she left all her assignments till last minute.
And I tell you, it's the worst. Especially when you are missing out on all the fun staying behind doing your work.
But I don't learn from my past mistakes now do I?
So here I am heading to the library to finish five of my assignments all due midnight today.
I fix the strap of my bag on my shoulder and walk right through the doors of the library.
The quietness of the library reminds me of how long this process will be.
I scan the library to see if any available seats are for me to sit. My eyes scan the place until they land on one at the back. There is a guy sitting there but I am unable to see his face due to him facing the other way reading a book.
I walk over to the table and clear my throat to get the guy's attention. He looks up from the book and my heart skips a beat.
Gorgeous brown hair, round glasses to swoon for, hazel brown eyes. And he is wearing a hoodie! Which gives him an extra point because it makes him look very attractive.
He lifts an eyebrow in question.
"Is anyone sitting here?" I whisper to him. He looks at the seat in front of him and shakes his head.
"No." Deep yet smooth voice.
It will be difficult to study but I have no choice but to sit here.
"Can I sit?" He nods but goes back to writing something in his book.
I quickly shuffle along and sit at the desk. I take my books out and just as I take my pencil case out, all the pens drop out of it making a massive crash noise.

"Omg shit, shit, shit," hesitantly, I look up at him and see him frowning at me.
I quickly pick all the stuff up while cursing myself silently.
"Sorry, I'm not always clumsy like this," but he doesn't even look up making me cringe.
I start working on my assignment and start written the long ass essay.
* 2 hours later *
As I look through my second assignment, I realise that I need a textbook for the research part of it.
As soon as I look up, I find the guy in front of me writing while laying back in his chair. I can just imagine his legs spread apart under the table.
"Hey," I whisper to him. His eyes snap up and look straight at me. A warm feeling runs through me as the hazel orbs look at me.
"Do you have any idea where the Business books are? The librarian has kind of disappeared," I slightly signal to the front desk to see no one there. He looks where I pointed and dear lord could I faint from how good looking this guy is.
Why have I never seen him before?
"Uh, yeah. They are the back. Somewhere in the second last row," he points in a direction behind me so I look where he is pointing.
I look back at him and give him a thankful smile. His lips twitch slightly and he nods.
"Thanks," I get up and walk over there.
My hands run over the spines of the books, reading their names.
When I find the book I want, I take out but when I do, it gives me a perfect and clear view of the guy sitting right there.
I look at him and think about how I may not even be able to see him again after this.

I need to get his attention, or even get his name at least.
Suddenly, his eyes look up from the paper and right at me. It's like he knew I would be here looking at him.
I just shake my head and walk out of the row and sit back down.
But as soon as I sit down, the chair leans back making fall to the ground with a loud crash.
"Ow," I hiss out as I failed to even think let alone save myself. I just keep on embarrassing myself today. And that too, in front of a hot guy.
I try to get up but feel a small tinge of pain rush through my arm. When I look up, I see a hand in front of me. Following the hand to its owner, I couldn't be more mortified to see the same guy.
But this time he has a teasing smile on his face.
"Ha. Ha. Very funny, you can laugh go ahead," I roll my eyes as I take his hand. He pulls me up making me crash against his chest leaving me breathless.
His eyes bore into me as he watches me.
Can I say love at first sight is an actual thing? Because that is what it feels like right now to me.
"Gotta be careful next time," his eyes twinkle with mischief.
"Sure," I scoff.
Moving away from him, I pick the chair up and sit on it, but this time careful not to shove too back.
I hear a small chuckle and look at the guy laughing quietly.
"Listen up ...." I trail off not knowing his name.
"Jaden." He responds.
Jaden. Suits him well too.
"Listen up Jaden. You can laugh all you want but I'm here to study. Now if you don't mind," after this empty threat that wasn't even a threat, I pick my pen up and start writing again.
Few minutes pass by when I start hearing a pen clicking. I ignore it thinking he will stop but it just keeps going.
"Can you not?" I grit my teeth trying to stop myself from lashing out in a library.
When I look at him, I realise that he is already looking at me. He did it on purpose.
"I'm just studying," he shrugs.
I ignore him and continue with the rest of my assignments.
* 3 hours later *
Finally finishing off the last sentence, I hit send and release a groan.
Finally I managed to finish it just in time.
The library is practically empty now. Jaden is still sitting in front of me doing God knows what.
I start packing up my things and realise that Jaden is also packing his stuff. Not paying much mind to it, I start to head to the doors of the library.
I should maybe go back and ask for his number? Would I seem too desperate?
Just as I walk out, someone taps me on my shoulder. I turn around to see Jaden. A small smile spreads across my face at seeing him.
"I-uhh," he scratches the back of his neck while looking around.
"Do you want to grab some coffee? As a sorry from me laughing at you?"
The same warm feeling washes over me as soon as his eyes collide with mine.
He could make me do anything if he looks at me like that.
"I would love that," I say smiling at him.
"You can also give me your name while you're at it," he says making laugh lightly.
"It's Elenore,"
