The McCall Pack gathered in the empty science laboratory, where they were going over their plan for the evening.
"Mason, you know your part?" Scott asked.
He nodded. "Corey and I break into the Devenford bus and search their shoes."
"Me and Willow - "
"Willow and I," Willow corrected Malia.
She huffed. "Willow and I take out the TV vans."
"Right before the whistle, Coach forfeits the game. The rest of us are looking for a size 10 with a bloody sole," Stiles informed.
"Just out of curiosity... What if it doesn't work? What if we have to go up against this thing? I mean, I hate to bring up bad memories, but Scott's still healing from what Theo did to him..." Malia trailed off.
"No, he's not," Kira answered.
The rest of them looked at Kira with confused expressions on their faces.
Scott nodded. "She's right." He lifted up the hem of his lacrosse jersey to show them his chest, which was just blemish-free. He smiled shyly. "It happened the night we got Lydia out of Eichen House. I healed...when we were all together again - when we were a pack."
Liam smiled. "The Beast doesn't have a pack."
Scott smirked. "Not like us." He looked around. "We can do this, guys." He looked at Willow and nodded. "No one dies tonight."
They all looked at each other with proud smiles and nods. They would do it. Nobody would die.

Malia and Willow were still working on disabling the frequency transmitters on the news broadcast vans by cutting the wires to the satellite dishes. Malia stood on the roof of the van she tampered with and was leaping onto the other van when a hand grabbed her by the ankle and yanked her, causing her to slam her forehead against the rooftop. Malia fell onto the grass below.

Willow sped over to Malia and helped her up. "Are you okay?" she asked, looking at the culprit.
"Yeah, I am... Who are you look - Bitch."
Corinne smirked. "I prefer Mom."
"To be honest, I'm totally up for killing you right now, but I've got other priorities," Malia explained.
"I can see that. Got something against the local news? Somebody put out a broadcast you didn't like?"
"Somebody's about to. And, since I know you're not going to try to kill me until there's a full moon, get out of my way," Malia growled.
Malia tried to walk past Corinne, but she blocked her path. Willow looked at Malia in concern. Malia waved Willow off with her hand discreetly. She sent a wave of discomfort and worry at Malia before flashing to the last news van.
"People are going to die," Malia said.
Corinne scoffed. "People die every day, sweetheart. Besides, I think your little girlfriend has got it under control. It's mother and daughter time."
Malia glared at her. "Stop calling me that! You don't get to call me sweetheart. Don't talk about Willow either. You're trash compared to her."
She rolled her eyes at the weak insult. "All right. What if there's a compromise? What if you come with me? We can try to solve our little predicament, and maybe I start calling you daughter."
"I'm going to kill you."
"You're definitely my daughter. What if I distracted your girlfriend from the last van? Kill some people in the process, get her thirst raging for a little...bite?" Corinne chomped down on her teeth.
"Don't fucking touch her." Malia flicked out her claws, but her mother didn't even flinch.
"I was wrong about your relationship with that girl. You like her even more than I thought. That's a good fact to know."

Malia looked horrified once she realized that the Corinne obtained a forever-changing piece of leverage over her. She turned around, ready for a fight, but found that the Desert Wolf was already gone.
However, Willow and Malia didn't realize that the other vans were fixed. A journalist flicked the switch on to her microphone, a high-pitched feedback screeching in everyone's ears. People with enhanced hearing like Scott, Liam, and Hayden were greatly affected by the shrill noise.
On the sidelines, Coach Finstock looked around in slight terror. "I should've stayed in rehab."

Starlight Antiquities
There is a place in the galaxy that deals in antiquities of all kinds, human and non-human alike. Its inventory of artifacts is colossal as is its inventory of mercs who they hire to acquire any artifact a client may wish that is yet to come into their possession. The ill-reputable business is constantly rubbing against the changing tolerance of the Union's government, and there are many security officers who would love nothing better than to vaporize the whole place with its owners inside. Yet, there are many tasks that nobody can do better, especially in the vastness of deep space where Union law is worth less than the energy needed to display it. One of its jobs involves finding an artifact that may not only hold the future of the human race but may also disturb the balance of the whole galaxy. *** While waiting for the next season of Mandalorian and the Witcher, and rewatching Firefly for the gazillionth of time, I decided to write this space-based series. The series has some litRPG elements in it, but it does not read like one. So, you won't run into any blue screens here. Yet, I wanted to use litRPG to give another dimension to this whole story and make it as unique as possible. This is a work-in-progress. Hope to keep on improving and fixing my mistakes as I go along.

Point of View
Adrian Shepherd is alive in Santa Monica. Successfully fleeing from the target zone of a nation-wide terroristic threat was not easy, nor did it come free. Adrian had to abandon parents who turned deaf ears, but even more heart-crushing was leaving behind someone who meant the world to Adrian, someone who he had shared his whole life with. Now, he survives with broken memories chasing him. Confliction turns him from wanting to live and wanting to die. Guilt wretches him as he craves the forgiveness he can never have. Maybe tomorrow will bring a brighter day, or maybe more problems. **Cover Photo is Temporary** **I would say the story has light gore and traumatizing events, to the point that I originally didn't check the content warnings. Be advised.**
