"I didn't get you, come again"

"I mixed sleeping tablets in the milk last night" Shruthi told slowly.

"What !!!!" Krishna shouted shocked and stared at her. Shruthi gulped hearing his shout.

"why did you do that?" asked Krishna after few minutes of silence.

"Last night before coming to your room, i was getting ready in my room and all the ladies over there said that you won't get sleep seeing me like that last night. So to make you sleep peacefully i mixed papa's sleeping tablets in the milk which you drank yesterday." Shruthi explained to Krishna hearing that Krishna eyes went wide and his mouth formed an O shape.

"What!!!!"

I stood there shocked looking her face wondering what I heard is true or not. I can't believe that she just mixed sleeping pills in the milk to make me sleep that too on our wedding night. What a crazy girl!!

"Kittu" she called me bringing me out of my shock.

"What the hell did you do? Are you mad?" I shouted at her which made her jump back.

"Do you know how much i have been waiting for that day? You simply spoiled my dreams by making me sleep yesterday night and now you are explaining as if you have done a great help by doing so." I shouted at her.

"I just did that to make you sleep Kittu" she told me innocently looking scared.

"SLEEP!!Who the hell will sleep on their wedding night?" I groaned.

"What will they do if they don't sleep?" she asked me curiously looking cutely with those innocent eyes making me forget my anger.

"You seriously gone mad, biwi" I shouted at her for which she had tears forming in her eyes and is ready cry any second.

"Kittu I...." she started saying something.

"What now?" I barked at her.

"arhhh...." she started crying which made me want to hit my head to the wall.

"Biwi......" I called her and was about to take her in to my arms she pushed me aside.

"You are bad....I thought you will sleep peacefully but instead of thanking me you are shouting at me" she accused me with tears flowing down her cheeks. It made me sad seeing her crying that too on second day of our marriage.

"Sorry biwi.....come" i requested her and took her into my arms. This time she didn't push me back.

She made me sleep on my wedding night pouring water on my dreams and here instead of she ,I'm saying sorry to her. Seriously, i pity myself now I thought sadly.

"I didn't do anything wrong Kittu *hic* I thought *hic* you will be *hic* tired and *hic* I just wanted *hic* you to sleep *peacefully*"

"hush.....ok biwi. I understand, don't cry." i told her moving my fingers in her hair to sooth her.

"Then why are you shouting at me ?" she murmered.

"You did that without my knowledge, you should have told me last night when you handed me the glass" I tried to convince her.

"I tried telling you but you kept on kissing me so I forgot to tell you." she explained.

"Ok but don't never mix sleeping pills like that with out anyone's knowledge. ok?" I told her while wiping her tears to which she nodded.

What is the use of getting angry on her now when the mistake is done , I can't get my wedding night back right? My anger will just make her cry which I don't want and controlled my anger. Recalling the incidents that happened since last night, Shruthi doesn't know anything about all this. She simply believed the ladies teasing words and mixed sleeping pills to make me sleep but i never thought thatmy biwi can be this innocent and naive.

"Sorry" I heard her say.

"huh?" now why is she saying sorry.

"Sorry for making you angry. I won't do that again" she told me cutely. I so wanted to kiss and bite her cheeks hardly.

"It's ok. How many pills did you mix and how did you get that pills?" I asked her curiously.

"I mixed one and half pill. Papa bought them few days back when he was unable to sleep at night. I took them from his medicines without his knowledge." she told me sheepishly.

"hmmm....." I just hummed and placed my hand on her exposed waist and pulled her towards me.

"Kittu" she shouted my name shocked.

"Now that you have wasted my wedding night. You have to make it up to me now" I told her kissing and started kissing her on her neck.

"Chee.... Kittu, you are a bad boy. Always trying to kiss me. I won't come near you" saying that she pushed me away and ran off from the room.

Oh god! what am i gonna do with this innocent girl? If she behaves like this I fear that I might die as a virgin I groaned.

Sighing he walked out of the house to get some fresh air. Their house was not a big one but a comfortable one with a living room , kitchen and three bed room one for his father, second one for him and other one is for Shruthi in which now Karuna is staying for the past one month. Karuna lost her husband a year back and was living with her son in Delhi. Her son went to some other country for his office work a month back and will return after few weeks and he doesn't want her to stay alone in Delhi. Venkat said that Karuna will stay with them in their house as he treats her like his own sister since then she had been staying with them.

Krishna walked to backyard and found his dad sitting there on the chair reading some book. He went near him and sat beside him in a chair.

"Dad"

"haan Kittu" Venkat turned to his son closing the book.

"Dad, I'm thinking to leave tomorrow."

"Tomorrow this early, I thought you will stay for 2 more day here."

"I have some meetings lined up next week, I have to go."

"Ok as you wish, you are taking Shruthi with you right?" Venkat asked him after few minutes of silence.

"Yeah...Are you not coming with us?" Krishna asked confusedly.

"No Kittu, you take Shruthi with you. I can't come now." Said Venkat

"Why dad? I'm earning and we can live happily." said Krishna convincingly.

"Not now, May be after few weeks I will come and stay with you but for now you take her with you."

"Why not now, dad?"

"I can't immediately come with you as i need to settle few things here Kittu. You both are newly married. I think you both should learn to live without elder's support. As for Shruthi she never stepped out of house apart from going to Karuna's house in Delhi. As for you, you should learn to be responsible till now you both lead a different life. You both need some alone time and moreover the minute you tell me the good news that I'm going to be a grandfather I will come there. Till then please let me stay here."

"But dad, we both need you. I stayed away from you both all these years but I don't want us to live separately. "

"No Kittu, listen to me. I'm not saying that I won't come there. In between, I will come to see you both frequently."

"But dad, If I take Shruthi with me what about you? Who will take care of you?"

"Karuna is going to stay here for some more time. So, don't worry." assured Venkat.

"But dad is this really necessary? Why can't you come with us?"

"Kittu, please understand and no more arguments on this. " said Venkat with a finality in his voice.

"Ok then, just for few weeks after that I won't listen to you." warned Krishna

"Ok" said Venkat smiling.

"I will leave with Shruthi tomorrow then"

"You were eagerly waiting since so many years for this marriage right so that you can take her with you ?" Venkat laughed saying this while Krishna smiled shyly.

"Do you remember Kittu how you used to pester us not to send Shruthi to Delhi whenever you came here during holidays. Your mom and me used to pacify you saying that you can keep her to yourself after marriage and we won't interfere in your life after your marriage." Venkat said remembering Krishna's tanturms.

"Yes dad, I was so immature then." said Krishna embarassed.

"Now, no one can stop you. You can freely take your biwi with you wherever you want. I don't mind. My responsibility on Shruthi is shifted to you now. She is so innocent , please take care of her Kittu. " said Venkat.

"Dad, I feel like you are her father not mine. At least show a little worry about your son too" Krishna said complaining as Venkat is telling the things as if she is his daughter not daughter-in-law.

"She is a girl Kittu, till now one of us were always there taking care of her like a kid but now she is a married woman and has some responsibilities as your wife. So I was just worried about her and I don't need to worry about you from now on as I'm sure that my daughter will take care of you very well. " said Venkat confidently.

"Don't worry dad, she will be fine." Krishna said smiling to which Venkat gave a smile and patted Krishna's shoulder.

At night after having dinner, Karuna, Venkat and Krishna were talking while Shruthi was serving dessert to them.

"Kittu, here have some more " saying that Shruthi served him some kheer.

"Biwi, enough. I'm full" refused Krishna.

"No, Kheer is your favourite na, I made it for you. Eat some more na Kittu" Shruthi requested him pouting.

"No Biwi. You already made me eat 2 cups. I can't eat anymore now" declared Krishna.

"Kittu, she specially made it for you. Atleast have 2 more spoons" said Karuna.

"ha please please Kittu just 2 spoons" asked Shruthi making cute faces.

"Ok, few minutes back you said the same but you made me eat a bowl. Now only 2 spoons. " complained Krishna.

"Ok ok " Shruthi said excitedly and served him.

" Seeing your photos, she has been complaining that you have became very thin these days." said Venkat smiling seeing the way Shruthi taking care of Krishna.

"I'm not thin dad and if she feed me like this every day then we have to change the front door size as I will be very fat and it will be difficuilt to get into the house." Joked Krishna.

"You didn't like the Kheer, Kittu?" Shruthi asked him sadly.

"I liked it biwi. Thanks for preparing my favourite food and I really appreciate it. Even though I like it, I can't eat all the food at a time right." explained Krishna.

"But you will stay here for few days only na so I thought I could make your favourite food daily during your stay here." Shruthi told him thinking that like every time he came home during vacation.

"Yeah, I will leave but I will also take you with me na, so you can cook food for me daily." told Krishna confusedly.

"Why will I come with you?" Shruthi asked him back.

"What why? You are my wife, obviously you will come and live with me there."

"How long?"

"What how long? it's forever; wherever I go, you will come with me" stated Krishna.

"What about papa? " Shruthi asked looking at Venkat.

"I'm not coming Shruthi. You both will be leaving tomorrow night " Venkat told smiling seeing her concern for him.

"No, I won't go anywhere. " declared Shruthi

"Shruthi"

"Biwi"

Both Venkat and Krishna called her at the same time.

"What!! I won't go anywhere" said Shruthi and rushed to her bedroom.
