《Science-Bros: the really long and twisty tale of Tony and Bruce.》Who the hell is she?

When both of their hands touched it, the scene suddenly changed. Instead of a broken room filled with broken robots and a giant Doom, they were in the middle of landless landscape, facing a galaxy. "What just happened?" Hulk spoke clearly, and was taken back when he realized he had done so out loud.
Bruce looked around as well when he realized they were standing on a floating platform in the middle of space. "Did... did we get transported some where?"
"Yes, my saviours, you did." The female voice from before spoke, and a young girl, around 15 years old, walked towards them. She had on a dress, which shone like the stars around them, and her hair was as brown as freshly turned earth. Her complexion was flawless, skin as pale as an egg shell, and her eyes were as deep as space itself. "Do not worry about your friends, they will be alright."
Bruce looked over at the girl, who must of been the one possessed in the Tesseract. "What about all of those who have fallen? What about the ones facing Doom? Or Tony? In fact, where are we?" he asked her sternly.
"We are where the Tesseract was born as I see it, centuries ago. And I knew you two would come together to save me. I watched people die, people live, the fallen rise and the risen fall." The girl explained.
Hulk grunted. "Sounds like you have seen a lot."
"Yes, and I have grown tired of people using me, treating me like an object. And your love is the only way I can truly be freed."
"My love?" Bruce asked the girl, gesturing to himself.
"Your love for Tony, and Tony's love for you." She explained.
"And what about me? Am I just nothing?" Hulk asked.
"You are a part of the love, dear Hulk. All three of you have a deep connection that has been seen eons before you were even born." The girl replied calmly.
Bruce looks down at the cube in his hand, which lost it's blue glow and then back at her. "We were destined to be with Tony since the beginning of time?"
"Yes you have." She smiled.
"And here I thought I was a mistake." Hulk huffed.
The female tesseract looked over at the Hulk shocked. "No one is a mistake, none."
Bruce didn't say a thing or even a remark that he did made a mistake in letting Doom kill everyone, heroes, villains, innocet lives. He turned away from the girl and the Hulk and glared off at the distant of space.
"Bruce." She walked up to him, putting a gentle hand on his shoulder. "You carry so much pain, so many burdens, yet there is no need."
"What are you talking about?" She looked over at the Hulk, and winked.
"If I were you, I would jump backwards." And without another word, they were back in the room. Hulk grabbed Bruce and flung them both back, dodging Doom as he fell face forward onto the ground. He shrunk in size until he was normal.
"Bruce! Hulk! Are you two okay?" Tony landed in front of them, helmet coming off again.
Bruce coughed a little as he tried open his eyes. He was back in the main room, looking up at Tony and the ceiling. He felt the cube still in his hand.
"Brucie, you okay?" Tony pulled him up, while the Hulk just sat up, rubbing his own eyes. One of his hands were also on the cube. Tony moved to take it, and when his hand was placed on it, it started to glow a rainbow of colours, and floated out of their grasp.

Bruce removed his hand from the tesseract as he watched it float up and glow brighter than ever.
It grew bright, so bright you couldn't see the shape anymore. When it dimmed down, the girl was floating to the ground, toes touching the cold ground. "Oh, how I've longed to feel, it's beautiful!" She spun a bit, smiling widely.
"Bruce, who's that?" Tony asked stunned.
"She....she was the one trap into the Tesseract." Bruce told the engineer.
"Oookay..." Tony seemed stunned. "Hello Anthony, thank you for freeing me. I'm..." She paused. "Oh, I don't have a name. I was called Tesseract, but that isn't my name, that's what I was. I've forgotten my true name..." She looked up at them. "Can you give me a name?"
Bruce bit his lips a little and looked at both Hulk and Tony. "Any suggestion?"
"How about Tess? Short for Tesseract, but an actual name." She thought about it for a moment.
"Tess... Yes, I like it. Thank you Anthony."
"Please, call me Tony." He told her.
"Tess. It's a nice name." The doctor said quietly, agreeing with Tony.
Tess looked over to the side, and saw Peter, who somehow managed to survive the whole thing. "Hello. I am sorry to say I do not know your name."
Peter, still shaken up from his fallen friends and the Tesseract changing the Hulk and Bruce, looked at Tess and stammered "P-Peter Parker."
"Hello Peter Parker. Don't be afraid. I control my power now, and it shall not be used for evil ever again." Tess smiled sweetly, and started looking around again. She sadly sighed when she saw all the bodies. "Oh, so much death..." Tess knelt down, her knees close by the closest body's head, which happened to be Wade. Placing a hand over his face, some blue light flowed between them.
When she pulled away, Wade groaned, and sat up, rubbing his head. "What just happened? Did I just actually die without my healing factor kicking in?"
Peter knelt down to where Deadpool was at and looked up at her. "You....you give life back?" he stammers again.
Bruce looked at Tess for a moment and said "You were never meant to destroy anyone, were you?"
"No. I can see them, everyone who was taken because of me..." The Hulk walked up to her, and pulled her into a hug. Tess smiled. "Thank you, it feels... wonderful." She pulled away after a minute. "Peter Parker, I saw the noble act that Mr..."
"I'm Wade Wilson, but you can call me by my code name. Deadpool." He offered.
"...Deadpool, had done. He could have saved his own life, but chose instead to protect you." Tess smiled a knowing smile, and walked off, slowly bringing back everyone.
Peter looked over at Wade and smiles a little at the merc. "You didn't have to do that, but... Thanks for protecting me."
"No problem Spidey." Deadpool smiled, and moved to stand up, nearly falling over.
Peter pulled his mask (or what's left of it) off and helped Deadpool stand up.
Tess just finished bringing the last person in the room back, Dr. Strange, when she froze up, looking over at Doom, who was starting to get up.
Bruce smiles a little but it quickly faded away when he saw Tess stopped on her tracks when Doom was getting. He rushed over to protect her from Doom. "Smash?" The Hulk had taken large strides, and grabbed Dooms head, holding him up by it. It didn't matter that the rest of the people were brought back, Doom still killed them, still hurt Professer X, Magneto, Doc Oc, he had poisoned Tony! The only reason he wasn't dead already was because he wanted permission from Bruce.

Bruce looked at the Hulk, knowing they both wanted to kill Doom for what he did to their allies/friend, the millions in New York and other cities, Magneto and the Professor, Tony, but now seeing the true form of the Tesseract he didn't know if killing him would do any good or make him a hero or the better man. He glared at Victor and went over to him. "Ever since this whole mess start, I wanted to hunt you down and kill you. But I know now that won't do any good to anyone, won't bring back those we lost. Now, I just want you to suffer. Know what it's like to never see the light of day while being contain like I have."
Hulk looked at Doom, who just breathed heavily. He sighed, accepting Bruce's decision. "Fine." Doom let out a breath. Hulk smirked, and smashed his face into the ground hard enough to only knock him out, before laughing. "Smash."
"Nice Hulk, but who's the kid?" Logan pointed at Tess.
"I am Tess, but you would know me by my other form. The Tesseract."
Everyone was slightly shock at both the girl who was once the Tesseract and the Bruce and Hulk were in the same room together. Strange smiles a little at Tess and extended his to her. "Pleasure to meet you, Tess. My name is Stephen Strange."
"Hello." Tess smiled warmly. "So many new people, everyone so brilliant, so special!" She giggled, twirling around a bit. She paused in front of Loki. "You used me to hurt." Tess stated, taking a step back, slightly afraid.
Bruce notices this and placed a gentle hand on Tess' shoulder. "He's changed now. He helped us and many more to stop Doom."
She looked at him cautiously, before accepting it. "Is there any others?"
"You mean on the team, or who were KIAed?" Deadpool asked bluntly.
"In all, through out the world. Anyone who was harmed because of Doom's hold over me." She replied.
"Millions in New York and in Latveria, Magneto, Namor.... all of Asgard." Bruce told Tess.
Tess looked down in shame. "Wasn't your fault." Hulk knelt in front of her, lifting her head up.
She smiled weakly. "It will be consuming, but I think I can bring them all back."
"Take as much time you need, Tess. No one is pressuring you." Bruce told her, rubbing her shoulder gently.
Tess nodded, and sat on the floor, dress covering between her crossed legs. Tess concentrated hard, eyes closed. Strands of blue started floating around her body, before shooting outwards, crossing the globe in a matter of seconds, touching each person that Doom had hurt.
Everyone one in the room went silent as she went to work. Bruce walked backwards a little until he was next to Tony.
A few moments passed, and the light faded. Tess, fell to the side, panting from the work.
Bruce bit his lips as he went over to Tess, helping her up gently.
"I've never used so much energy before out of my own body." Tess leaned on Bruce, unable to stand on her own. "I just need a small rest."
Bruce nodded as he picked her up carries her bridal style. "We should head back to the jets." He said to Tony and the others.
"Yeah, and can Earth just... take a day off? Everyone just sleep?" Tony suggested, as everyone got into a jet. He laid down, not ready to fly around just after that death battle. Thor carried Doom over his shoulder, dropping him on the floor not too carefully.
Bruce gently laid Tess in the seats and sat himself near Tony, leaning his back against the wall.
Tony clicked a button, and the whole suit came off in small manageable pieces. "I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up later."
A click was heard instead. "WHAT THE HELL DID YOU PEOPLE DO?!? WE HAVE MAGNETO STANDING IN FRONT OF US, BLOOD COVERING THE FRONT OF HIS OUTFIT!" Fury yelled.
Hank groan as he took his helmet off and toss it aside, not caring it if breaks. "Be patient with us, Fury. We had an exhausting day and we'll tell you when we get there... or when one of us is in the mood to tell" he said sternly as he starts the jets.
"No, you will explain now!" Tess sunk into her seat, scared of the man yelling.
"Hey Fury! You're scaring Tess! Shut up for now!" Logan called out, leaning his head back as he stayed put on the floor, not wanting to move at all.
Bruce took one of Tony's hands and squeezed it gently. Hank sighed heavy and began explain what exactly happened during the battle and what Bruce and the Hulk told him when Tess appear and who Tess was.
"So let me get this straight... Stark and Banner have been linked together since the beginning of time, give or take, and because of that, the Tesseract, who is actually a person, was able to go back to her proper form?" Fury groaned. "The paper work around this is going to be a pain in the ass..."
"Yeah well at least you get to sit on your ass while we had to do the dirty work around here." Hank said turned the comm off before Fury could snap back at him. "How's is everyone holding up back there?" Hank called out to everyone.
"I'm putting myself on bed rest when we get home. No one is allowed to bug me, or Brucie, or Hulkie." Hulk didn't even bother getting annoyed. He was too tired to be mad. He laid in the back of the jet, lightly snoring.
Everybody else groans but Bruce remained quiet, staring up at the ceiling as he holds Tony's hand.
"... Does anyone know where Wade and Peter are?" They were about half way home when the question popped into Tony's head. "I know that we grabbed them before we left, but why has no one heard any complaints from the other jets about Deadpool driving people up the wall?"
Hank looked over at Tony and the went to the comm to speak with the other jet. "Hey Beast, everything okay in your jet so far?"
"Yeah, everyone is taking a nap till we reach HQ. How about you Captain?" "All quiet on my front. Same case. What about you Reeds?"
"Seems good here as well though Wade's been quiet throughout the whole trip. Must be exhausted like the rest of us." Reed told the other pilots.
"Right... And where's Peter?" That also got peoples attention.
"He's here with Deadpool. He's letting the crazy merc lie on his lap as he sleeps, no complains or anything." He told Hank, who chuckles a little. "Guess Parker is truly greatful of his savior."
"Yeah... Remind me to buy you all a shrink. We all need one after this." Tony gave Bruce's hand a small squeeze, before tipping his head back, and falling asleep.
Bruce squeezed the genius's hand back and sighs a little as he let himself be lost in thought about all that has happened. Now that he and the Hulk are separated what good is he for SHIELD? Is he gonna get kicked off the team or not? And if he and Tony are destined together, what is hold in their future? And for that matter, what about Tess? How would SHIELD treat her? Bruce thought all of this as he fell asleep as well, leaning onto Tony as they both slumbered.

This is the first time I’ve published anything, and basically the first time I’ve written anything more than mandatory school-stuff. The story will probably have inconsistencies, grammatical errors (not my native tongue, though that excuse is getting old), and potentially confusing (missing?) plot. I will naturally do my best to write something worth reading, but my main goal in writing this story is to have fun and explore the limits of my own creativity. My hope in publishing it here, is that I’ll reach someone who enjoy the story, and can push me forward towards writing more, as it is difficult at times to find the motivation to write just for myself. Additionally, I can’t really promise to have regular updates, as I have a full-time job that often likes to take the ‘full-time’ part literally, and a sporadic social life that occasionally surprises me (happy surprises mostly, so I shouldn’t complain). I’ll aim for once a week to start with, and take it from there. Happy reading! Cover photo by Jeff Hire (/photographer/gun4hire-58415), from https://freeimages.com/.
