《Byakuya X Reader》❄️Lies and Truth❄️

I walked silently next to Byakuya as we reached the same red doors. The trial was about to begin again and we were going to loose someone else. I felt his hand wrap around mine, giving me a gentle squeeze.
We walked into the elevator/lift and stood in the corner, waiting for everyone else to arrive. When we first got here we had 16 people but now, we were down to 11, and about to become 10. I watched as everyone walked in, their faces full of worry, or anger, or confusion. Leon, Mondo, Kirigiri, Celeste, Makoto, Taka, Sakura, Hifumi, Yashiro, Byakuya and me. It was just us.
I felt the lift start to descend and I watched as everyone talked to each other in hushed whispers. Occasionally, I would catch Celeste glaring at me and Byakuya. 'Don't let her bother you,' Byakuya looked down at me.
'I'm trying... but I feel as if she's going to do something. Something really bad,' I frowned.
'You're acting like a plebeian,' He smirked.
'Well, you're a jerk,' I chuckled slightly.
The doors opened slowly and we stepped into the trial room. Everyone gathered in there spaces as the trial began. I looked over at Byakuya, smiling painfully.
'Let's get this trial started!' Monokuma cheered from his chair.
'But, where do we start? I mean, what actual clues were there?' Leon raised an eyebrow.
'Maybe we should start with the suspects, Leon, Taka, Makoto and Yashiro,' Hifumi suggested. 'Let's get their alibis!'
'Well then, let's start with Makoto and just follow on from there,' Kirigiri said.
'I was in my dorms from when I left breakfast and when... we found her,' He explained, looking down with pain in his voice.
'I was in my dorm, trying to get some rest before studying,' Taka shrugged.
'I was in the gym, trying to run a couple of laps,' Leon stretched his arms.
'I was one of the third floor classrooms, trying to work on my predictions and all. You know, 30% accuracy,' Yashiro chuckled.
'So, no solid alibis,' I sighed as I crossed my arms.
'Didn't you find something, Byakuya?' Celeste glared daggers at him.
'Hmp, I found Sayaka's secret,' He crossed his arms as she looked around the room, as his eyes landed on me I smiled.
'In her memory, I won't tell her secret,' I explained 'but we also found a note asking to meet with her in the library,'
'Interesting,' Hifumi pondered 'But who was it?'
'We searched all the suspects room's, and we found some things,' Byakuya grinned.
'But first, I want to talk about something else I found. I found the rope that was used to kill sayaka. It was in the storage room, along with a pair of scissors that looked as if they came from the tool kit,'

'A tool kit..? So we need to see whose isn't intact,' said mondo, to which everyone started to pull their out, apart from Yashiro and Leon.
'I must've misplaced it,' Leon sighed.
'Same here! I think I must've lost it or something,' Yashiro nervously chuckled.
'Then it's down to you two,' I smiled.
'Which leads us to our next clue. When Y/N was looking at the rope, she found something else with it,' Byakuya continued.
'A strand of hair. Long brown hair,' I looked over at Yashiro.
'Me?! What! I would never kill anyone! Please, you gotta believe me!' He pleaded.
'Totally not guilty look,' I muttered to myself.
'Yashiro. I also searched your room and I found something interesting. Your handwriting, it's very peculiar, isn't it?' I smirked, holding up the note byakuya had given me, the one that sayaka had stuffed in her pocket.
'Hiro..?' Makoto looked at him. Yashiro has a panicked look on his face and his hands were pulling at his hair as sweat fell down his forehead.
'Want to give an explanation?' Byakuya grinned as he glanced over at me, his eyes glinting as ours met.
'Wait,' Celeste held up her hand, silencing everyone. 'How are you so sure that everyone else is innocent? Yes, we woke up, but, it never said when we were going to wake up after a murder,'
'No, that can't be right. We saw Sayaka when we woke up. She spoke to us,' I shook my head.
'Yes, yes, but did anyone disappear between then and when we all met up? Someone could have slipped away,' she suggested and I felt my heart sink. What was she doing?
'As I remember, two people vanished during breakfast, at different times. First was Mondo and second was Byakuya,' Kirigiri noted.
'Then what about them? We can't rule them out of investigation can we? Handwriting can be forged and a strand of hair could have easily been placed,' Celeste smiled.
'If you want us to prove our innocence, we can just show our tool kits,' Mondo growled.
'You could have easily picked up Leon's of Hiro's, since theirs are misplaced,' She countered.
'Let's just ask Monokuma how long it would have taken to wake up,' I shrugged, trying to avoid eye contact from Celeste.
'Hm? Oh, I had fallen asleep by how boring you were,' Monokuma laughed 'But, the answer is... it varies! It can be days, it can be minutes!'
'Helpful,' I muttered.
'What time was Sayaka last seen?' Taka asked.
'Just before breakfast, she said she had to go do something,' Makoto explained 'She said she was meeting someone, but she didn't tell me who,'

'And it could have been Mondo or Byakuya? Correct?' Celeste smiled.
'I... yes,' Makoto looked down.
'I didn't have Sayaka's secret. How could I meet her without having her secret,' Byakuya glared at her.
'Weren't you the one who found her secret and gave it to Y/N?' She smirked.
'Byakuya found it in her pocket,' I tried to argue against him.
'Where's the proof?' She giggled slightly.
'If you want to know whose secret I have. It's yours, Taeko Yashiro,' He grinned as he watched the colour drain out of her face.
'My name is Celeste Ludenburg,' She said as I watched her start to shake, anger taking control of her.
'It isn't..' I trailed off 'You told me yourself that you lied about your name when I first told you that I was a hitman...'
'Fine! Then it wasn't Byakuya. But it still could have been mondo,' She fumed.
'It wasn't Mondo!' Leon stated, out of the blue. 'I saw Sayaka going into the library after I finished breakfast,'
'You could have said that sooner,' I muttered.
'Yashiro Hagakure, you are our strongest subject,' Kirigiri stated.
'Please! It wasn't me!' He begged.
'Then what were you doing in the storage room?' I asked, leaning forwards on my podium.
'I... I...' he trailed off.
'Yashiro,' Makoto said 'Did you or did you not murder Sayaka Maizono?'
'I... I... I don't want to die! Please! I'm begging you!' He started pleading.
'Yashiro Hagakure, I'd say that's a confession,' Byakuya stated.
'Onto the execution!' Monokuma announcement.
I walked as he was lead away by Monokuma. He was pleading and begging for his life, swear and tears falling down his face. He was lead into a room with 10 hallways, the door locked behind him. Three of the ten hallways were an escape route. If he picked the correct hallway, he would escape. To put it simply, a 30% chance of survival.
From his pocket, he pulled out his Crystal ball as he started to look at the doors. He sighed and chose the 7th door, Monokuma gestured for him to walk inside. I watched as he entered and the door shut behind him, displaying a big bright red X. He was wrong. He desperately started to run until he came to a dark endless pit.
I watched as a Monokuma started to walk towards him, a sharp silver spear in hands. Yashiro turned around, panicked as he saw his death approaching. As the spear neared him, he stepped backwards into the nothingness, falling into the dark pit. He was gone. Just gone. The Monokuma then took out what seemed to be a tarot card which read 'death'. He shrugged, throwing it into the pit before walking off.
'That leaves 10 of us..' I whispered, looking at the pit Yashiro had fallen in to.
'You'll survive,' I felt Byakuya's hand on my shoulder as I looked over to see him standing beside me.
'What about you?' I looked into his eyes.
'At this point, I think Celeste will murder me,' He chuckled slightly. 'Or taeko as I should say,'
'I got scared that she was going to pin it on you...' I trailed off.
'Yet, we still fought back and proved her wrong. Don't worry yourself. Now, let's go read a book or... something,' He looked down at me as he gently took my hand.
We walked into the elevator/lift as it started to ascend up. I noticed Celeste glaring angrily at me and Byakuya. Even though I once trusted her, the fact that she couldn't accept me being with him, it hurt. I'd rather not have her as a friend than loose Byakuya.
After we got back to the ground floor, Byakuya took me to get some food and drink before we went up to the library. However, as we neared the door, I paused, becoming shaky. 'What's wrong?' He looked back at me.
'Sayaka... died in there,' I looked down.
'If that makes you uncomfortable, we can go somewhere else,' He smiled down at me.
'But where..?'
'A classroom, the AV room... or one of the dorms,' He suggested.
I chuckled before replying 'We only started this thing,' I struggled to put it into words 'Isn't it a bit early to be asking me to stay round?'
'You know what I meant,' He rolled his eyes.
'Of course I do. Sounds like a good idea. I just want to not go in the library for a while,' I sighed as we walked towards Byakuya's dorm room.
We sat down in the corner and Byakuya brought some books and blankets over. I shrouded myself in them as he sat down next me, I leaned against him as he opened a book. I looked up at him, his eyes were gleaming and his cheeks were red. As he flicked through the pages he started to read aloud to me as I leant against him, closing my eyes as I smiled. 'I love you,' I mumbled as he continued to read. He stopped before he replied.
'I love you too,'

The Cosmic Interloper
Synopsis: A cyborg transhuman escapes her corporate indenture and through unfathomably unlikely circumstances, she ends up in a fantasy world of full of unique magic, angry people with sharp implements, and the whole flavor-spectrum of divine entities. Hilarity ensues. Features: - No blue boxes or cultivation, this is not a LitRPG nor about martial arts - Hard-ish Sci-Fi meets hard-ish magic - Generally trying to keep this "rational" Rationale: My primary goal with The Cosmic Interloper is to write something that I myself would enjoy reading. Of course, that’s not the only motivation, but I think it’s the most important one for me to keep in mind, especially as the author. In fact, this whole story came about because after consuming oodles of fiction, I found myself craving a very specific type of story which I couldn’t find many examples of. Then I asked myself, “why not write it myself?” and here we are. Disclaimer: In general, while I’m not writing a comedy, I do intend for this story to be funny and a bit wacky or absurd. That said though, I am using this story as a vehicle to explore some potentially dark topics including (but not limited to) slavery, speciesism/racism, and existential questions of self, consciousness, and identity. Still, I’m going to leave the “traumatizing content” tags off, because I don’t feel that what I’ve written so far (or plan on writing) exceeds the threshold that would be necessary for me to tag it thusly. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way she views the world is not the objective truth (if such a thing even exists).

The Last Woman on Earth: A Military Sci-fi Intrigue
A disillusioned military officer and the self-proclaimed ‘last woman on Earth’ embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind a world without women. Second Lieutenant Alexei Vronsky is clinging to his sanity after his comrade was killed in a prolonged siege, but the time for self-loathing and wall punching is over. He finds an intruder in his room, who claims to be a woman—a mythical creature only existed in ancient texts. Against his expectation, she has no wings attached to her back, no laser guns on her shoulders, and not the slightest idea about the endless war between the Republic of Moskva and its vassal states. Suspecting she’s a government experiment, Alexei determines to find answers to the impossible existence of women. However, the deeper he digs into the dark, the further he realizes there’s more to the eternal war than he’s allowed to know. And the sooner he can stop the cycle of needless deaths the better, before he's shut down. Permanently. [Apart from being a war novel, this story is also a progression fantasy. The MC will get stronger, acquire more special abilities and fighting gears. They come later in the story, though.]

Anti-Hero: Journey of Fear
There is a story where the hero makes friends, completes quests, and saves the world. This is NOT that story. In the VR world of Fate: Experience Acute Realism, the main character cuts his way through both the players and NPCs alike. This story takes a close look at how a true full immersion VR would be played. The setting is an open VR world where the players struggle to survive with a lack of knowledge and the NPCs panic in regards to the Travelers invading their world. The anti-hero of this story is cold and calculating. Sparing no one from his reign of terror he gives into occasional bouts of kindness before he is forced back on the path of blood and tears. For where there is a hero who seeks to bring people together to help the world move forward, there is an anti-hero who brings people together to seize the world for himself. WARNING: This story contains extreme violence, in every single chapter. This story contains references to sex, but no explicit scenes. This story has light to mild swearing. My chapters normally range from 4,000 to 5,000 words. This story does not contain happy endings, middles, or even beginnings.
