《Byakuya X Reader》🍯Investigation🍯

I ran up to Chihiro's room, profusely knocking on the door, I felt tears in my eyes. I had only know her for 4 days, but she was too sweet and innocent to succumb to this fate. Chihiro, you have to be alive. 'Move out of the way,' Sakura instructed as I tried to open the door. She ran at the door once I had moved, ramming herself against it. I heard the door creak as the hinges and lock started to break. After a few more tries, the door swung open, barley holding on with just one hinge. I peered round the room to see the scene, it was trashed, but chihiro wasn't in sight. I dashed in, looking round, and I saw the bathroom door hanging open, Chihiro laid on the floor, her head had been bleeding, she had been hit with something heavy.
'No...' I whispered, allowing tears to fill my eyes. I had seen death a thousand times, of course, but when it's someone you know, it hurts.
The monitor switched on 'A body has been discovered! Please make your way to the gym!' What the hell was this? Everyone looked shocked. Even if people tried to stay calm, we had a murderer among us. I wanted to stay by the body, try to help her, bring her back. I felt someone pull me away, it was Sakura.
'Come on, Y/n, we have to go,' She tried to pry me away.
'No... I can't leave her... she needs us..,' I tried to go to her, but Sakura picked me up, hauling me over her shoulder 'No.. I don't want to leave her...' I cried. She carried me along to the Gym. I knew she was long gone and dead but I didn't want to admit it.
Everyone stood there, while I sat crossed legged on the floor, looking at the ground, tears streaming from my eyes. Monokuma appeared, he had an evil look in his eye. 'Wow, look likes one of you finally got some strength!' He laughed.
'This isn't a joke, monokuma,' Mondo growled.
'That isn't important right now, monokuma, you said the killer will get to leave, correct?' Byakuya stated, unfazed by the murder.
'Oh, that I did. But, has the killer gotten away with it?' He chuckled.

'And how would we determine that?' Celeste asked.
'A class trial of course! You will conduct an investigation then a trail will begin, you will have to determine the killer or else you die! But if the spotless students get the blackened correct only they will die!'
'You're sick... just sick!' I yelled.
'Upupup,' he giggled 'Of course I am! Now find the killer before your times up or else you'll die!' He vanished.
How could he make us do this? We had to find a killer that was hidden among us, who could even do this to Chihiro? She was so sweet and kind. Whoever did this is a monster... but I knew, I was just as bad as them. As I lowered my head in anguish a hand landed on my shoulder.
'Well now, this seems to be quite unfortunate, I suggest we hurry to find the culprit before we all perish here,' Celeste looked around at everyone.
'But, how? We're just high school students,' Makoto exclaimed, he was in as much panic as the rest of us.
'I suggest we secure the murder scene, so the killer doesn't dispose of any evidence,' Kyoko suggested.
'Alright then, I'll guard the body. I won't let the killer get away after murdering the chick,' He sighed.
'But, what if it was you?!' Taka exclaimed.
'I can guard with him, that way neither of us can take anything without the other seeing,' Sakura crosses her arms, a serious look on her face.
'Right then, we should get to investigating now, I don't want to be next,' Mukuro had a look of distress on her face. How could she still be acting at a time like this?
Everyone left the hall, still confused and upset, it was all too much for us to handle. I followed Celeste as she had taken me by the hand, leading me back towards Chihiro's room. I reluctantly entered with the feeling of dread hanging over me like a cloud.
'Now then, let's try to put the puzzle together,' She moved her sleeves up as she approached the body. 'Well, aren't you going to help?' She looked over at me.
'Oh... yeah,' I gulped down the saddness. As I knelt next to the body I remembered all my past victims and murders, how was this any different? She may have been my friend, but what did that change? I left people all the time. How can I judge the killer for this when I had commit much worse offences?

'You are a forensic scientist, surely the case of death and body injuries aren't that hard to determine for you, correct?'
'Yes, she was hit over the head and suffered blunt force trauma, the force would have cracked her skull, causing her death, it was most likely instantaneous. Further more, it wasn't a surprise attack, the killer was in front of her, as she fell backwards,' I bit my lip. It likely was a spur of the moment attack.
'That is very informative, I suppose this was the weapon, correct?' Celeste picked up a metal pipe, it looked identical to the ones in the bathroom that was attached to the sink. But the only way to gather the necessary tools to dissemble it would have been a tool kit, that only the boys owned. That means the killer had to be a boy... right? But the sink in Chihiro's bathroom was the one where the pipe came from, since it was missing. Maybe she invited the killer over to fix it and they saw an opportunity?
'Well, what now, I suppose we must find who is missing their tool kit,' Celeste picked up a box on the floor. The killer had left the tool kit here? Why? Wasn't it a bit of a stupid mistake? All we had to do was figure out who was missing their tool kit. It seemed easy, but maybe not all crimes have to be hard.
As I looked back at Chihiro's corpse I felt the wave of dread and grief fall over me, even guilt. 'Celeste... can we please go somewhere else... this is making me feel sick,' You your stomach twist.
'Ah, of course, perhaps we should look in the trash room, maybe the killer left something there,' She stood up with a certain grace to her and brushed her skirt with her hand.
'Oh... yeah,' I followed her lead out of the room and towards the trash room, outside were Makoto, Sayaka and Hifumi, who were about to go in.
'Oh hey guys, are you investigating here too?' Makoto looked nervous, but of course, we had a killer on the loose.
'Ah, hello miss L/N and Miss ludenburg, do you too wish to join the search into this room?' Hifumi said, be was exaggerating his way of speaking though, it was very formal to say the least. We nodded and followed them in. However it all seemed the same. It was all locked up and looked identical to when I had first seen the room.
'Do you think the culprit came here?' I asked Celeste.
'Well, I was not certain, but I do wonder, what is that?' She pointed over to the bin, I followed her finger down to the bottom, where there was something... blue? I lowered myself down and tugged it out from underneath the bin, it was a blanket. As I turned it over I saw the blood that had stained it, this must've been what the killer wanted to remove, but why? What's suspicious about a blanket?
'I wonder why they left that here,' Sayaka came over, looking at the blanket. 'Wouldn't they just keep it there, at the scene, I don't get it,'
'Neither,' I sighed.
Suddenly the monitor flicked on after the all too familiar school bells. 'Hello kiddos! I'm getting bored, so we're going to have the class trial at... right now! Make your way over to the red doors and walk through,' the screen switched off again. It only reminded me of how real this all was. The 5 of us exited the trash room and walked to the doors, we walked in to see a lift in front of us... and Monokuma.
'Finally, you're all here! Now head into the lift where you will go down to the court room and determine your future! Phupupupupup!' He laughed as we all boarded on and the doors closed. Can we really figure out who did this? A murderer who had commit a crime so far less worse than my own and we would have to condemn them while I stayed?

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. Farrien welcomed home millions of troops and warriors with the Archdukes of Aerianne and Kanaria leading them at the forefront. Since the founding of Farrien, the Aerianne and Kanarian Archduchies have been pillars upholding the Kingdom from enemies. It was common belief that they possessed special blood blessed by the Goddess Stecia, who gifted the lineage to the first King of Farrien when he first founded the country. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him. Follow the story of the Chosen ordained by the Goddess of Time as he returns to the past to right his wrongs and set things back straight again!
