《The Healer Demands Payment!》Chapter 31 - Red Fox Clan

“Yes.” Su Junmo bowed at this order. He heard the killing intent from the Lord’s tone, that had not happened in years. Even his back was slowly drenched in a cold sweat. Su Junmo originally had many questions to ask, but he was now standing silently next to the white-robed man, not daring to speak for a long time.
Until the air on the floating island suddenly twisted, and a man in bronze armor appeared, seemingly walked out of a void. The man looked to be in his forties. There was a scar on his right cheek, which covered half of his face from the corner of his eye. On his rigid-looking jaw, there was a short beard. Although his face was quite handsome, the scar made him looked a bit fierce. He walked towards the white-robed man.
Su Junmo, who stood nearby, subconsciously took a step back. He always felt that the other man’s body was omitting a bloody smell that never been faded. The bloody odor, mixed with intense killing intent, seemed to get stronger when the man got closer, enhancing Su Junmo’s discomfort.
“Lord.” The middle-aged man knelt down on one knee and bowed.
“How?” The white-robed man gestured him to stand up.
“The Demon Realm is now completely falling apart and fighting each other. But they are still afraid of the Lord, so no matter how hard they fight, they will split part of their troops to hold us. Now we are trapped in the Seventh Heaven, which is the farthest from Three Thousand World, and cannot breakthrough for the time being.”
The white-robed man slightly raised the corner of his lips, laughing in sneer: “Release the news. I was seriously injured and fell into the Starfallen Sea. My whereabouts are unknown, and I’m abandoning the battle for the Demon Monarch selection.”
“Lord!” Su Junmo was so shocked that his face turned pale. He blurted out to persuade the man.
“Yes.” The middle-aged man saluted and answered calmly.
“Nie Hongyu, you…” Su Junmo didn’t dare to question the white-robed man, so he could only throw a warning glance at the middle-aged man named Nie Hongyu. The position of the Demon Monarch was too important. Once taken by others, the consequences would be disastrous.
“The Lord has his own consideration.” Nie Hongyu glanced at Su Junmo and said emotionlessly. “This subordinate retire.” He once again saluted the white-robed man and turned to leave the floating island.
The bloody smell in the air gradually dissipated with Nie Hongyu’s departure. Su Junmo did not dare to open his mouth lightly. He stood respectfully behind the white-robed man.
“After you arrived at the Eastern Realm, help me find someone.” The white-robed man pondered for a moment, “Qingfeng Valley, Meng Qi.”
“Yes.” Su Junmo quickly dug his memory for the name. He has been wandering in the Three Thousand Worlds for a long time and was very familiar with the powerful cultivators here. However, he seemed to never hear about this ‘Meng Qi’ before. And Qingfeng Valley…what the hell was that?
Su Junmo couldn’t be blamed. If his Lord mentioned Chu Tianfeng, Fentian Palace, Xun Yan, even Qin Xiumo… he would know. Qingfeng Valley was too small. So small that, except for the residents of Qingfeng Town, many cultivators in the Eastern Realm might never hear about this sect.
“You may retreat.” The white-robed man moved his long sleeves.
“This subordinate retire.” Su Junmo turned to leave the floating island. His mind was full of doubts. He stepped into the teleportation array, and at the next moment, appeared outside the Profound Auction House.

These days, this Profound Auction House has unexpectedly become lively. Ever since the medical cultivator named Xiao Qi auctioned a bottle of Beiming pill at a high price, people have been coming here to inquire about this mysterious cultivator. The staff at this auction house has mentioned it several times with Su Junmo.
Of course, it was impossible for the staff to disclose their client’s personal information, which was taboo at Beyond The Heaven. Even when they use relay stations to send items, the sender still didn’t know where their items would be sent. The staff of Beyond The Heaven’s relay station simply determined the destination of an item via the spiritual sense imprinted by the buyer and the seller.
In other words, from buying to selling, and when moving the money and goods, different people were in charge of each process. The whole system gave an absolute guarantee to the privacy of sellers and buyers.
This point was clear to everyone who patronized Beyond The Heaven. But even so, those people, especially the sects who specialize in medical cultivation, or even the major sects, simply sent people to keep watching the Profound Auction House entrance. Although Beyond The Heaven absolutely guaranteed the privacy of both buyers and sellers, if both parties were willing to exchange information with each other, they wouldn’t forbid it.
Right after Su Junmo arrived on the floating island where the Profound Auction House was located, he immediately felt more than 20 different sights staring at him. After discovering that it was Su Junmo, those eyes showed undisguised disappointment.
Su Junmo: “…”
He almost laughs angrily!
When someone ever looks disappointed when seeing him?!
And do these people even know who refined those Beiming pills?
After the auction, Su Junmo asked Xue Jinwen, who told him that the pill was sold by a medical cultivator named Xiao Qi, who did not reveal her identity. Even Xue Jinwen and Xiang Linmo, who made a direct transaction with Xiao Qi, did not know her origin. These people sent by those major sects had never even seen her before. Even if that Xiao Qi was standing in front of them at this moment, they would not recognize her as the refiner of the Beiming pill.
Still keep watching in vain?!
Su Junmo sneered, his lips curled. He ignored those squatting in front of Profound Auction House’s entrance and walked towards Xue Jinwen’s courtyard. Su Junmo was a little curious about Xiao Qi’s identity, but he also knew that Xue Jinwen and Xiang Linmo wouldn’t describe Xiao Qi’s appearance. Moreover, inside Beyond The Heaven, people were allowed to use disguising technique. Maybe Xiao Qi’s original appearance in Three Thousand Worlds was very different than what Xue Jinwen saw in Beyond The Heaven.
Just let them squatting in vain for years! Su Junmo completely looked down on those sects who were waiting idly for opportunities.
“Xue Jinwen.” He knocked on the door, then holding his arms on his chest, “Last time you asked me when I would go to the Eastern Realm. I will go now.”
“Oh?” Xue Jinwen raised her eyes at Su Junmo. The man was standing tall, his eyes smiling, and he was leaning lazily at the door, ignorant of his handsome appearance that stole the soul of too many girls.
Xue Jinwen’s expression was normal, not as shy as when she mentioned Su Junmo in front of Meng Qi last time.
“Last time you asked me to bring you back some things. Make a list and hand it over. If I see it, I will bring it back.” Su Junmo said again.

“Thank you, fellow Daoist Su.” Xue Jinwen obviously didn’t expect the other party to depart to the Eastern Realm so soon. “Please wait for a moment.” Xue Jinwen took out a bamboo slip and slowly wrote down the things she wanted. In fact, some of them might not be impossible to find in Beyond The Heaven with a little effort. But she still wrote the list in detail on the bamboo slip and handed it to Su Junmo.
Su Junmo casually took a glance and threw the bamboo slip back to Xue Jinwen: “I don’t come to say goodbye to you. Last time I went to your house, I only saw your elder and younger sister. Your father said that you don’t like seeing visitors, so I didn’t disturb you. I will come to see you again later. After finding these things, I will send it to you.” He waved to Xue Jinwen, turned around, and walked away.
“Eh?” Xue Jinwen hurriedly tried to catch up. When she just reached the door, Su Junmo already walked out of the courtyard. Her charming eyes finally turned a little gloomy, and she kept staring at Su Junmo’s departing back.
When was the last time Su Junmo went to the Xue house?
She didn’t even know!
But it’s always like this.
Her father always doted on her sisters, and in his mind, only them really befitted to be the children of Xue family. When entertaining distinguished guests, he always preferred them to go out to meet guests.
Forget it.
Xue Jinwen returned to the chair and sat down. If she stayed here, she could always see him once in a month or two. Cultivators had a long lifespan, and they were still young.
Xue Jinwen gathered back her focus and began reading the bamboo slip she had seen halfway through. Beyond The Heaven’s auction house has been very lively recently, but this didn’t affect Xue Jinwen in the slightest. She knew why these people were here for, but the staff who worked for Beyond The Heaven was impossible to be bribed or forced. What’s more, Xue Jinwen herself didn’t know where that mysterious Xiao Qi came from.

Meng Qi, Chu Tianfeng, and Qin Xiumo have been around in the forest for three days. Although five elements blue crane were said to be common, it was still a monster bird after all, and was not something that could be found casually.
“How long until their condition worsened?” On the fourth day, the three set out again to search for the five elements blue crane, and Chu Tianfeng couldn’t help asking: “If we can’t find it in time, will they…”
“About half a month.” Meng Qi said: “We must hurry.”
Qin Xiumo followed from behind. These days, during the daytime, they looked for the five elements blue crane in the mountains and forests. At night, however, Meng Qi would use the time to sort out his spiritual aura. When she dived into the cold pond last time, she gathered enough cold sky herb for about ten days. However, without the help of the cold pond water, the effect was slightly weaker.
Meng Qi didn’t feel the work to be hard. She was happy having Qin Xiumo to practice her Jingxin spell that normally wasn’t easy to use. It was Chu Tianfeng, guarding by her side, who was gritting his teeth in hatred towards Qin Xiumo every time he saw Meng Qi’s exhausted figure drenched in sweat.
Such three people were walking together in a group. Although the combination was a bit weird, it wasn’t lonely at all. Chu Tianfeng and Qin Xiumo seemed to have tacit teamwork, but seeing each other unpleasant. The two young men noisily bantered on the whole road, and sometimes, Meng Qi even had the illusion that she was getting back with the noisy fox again.
After several days of hard work, Qin Xiumo finally recovered his Golden Core cultivation. He has not yet recovered to his peak stage, but no longer a waste. The progress after this, however, would be very slow. To cure him completely, they would need both time and the assistance of various herbs.
“I always feel a little strange today.” Seeing the sun slanted west again, Chu Tianfeng stopped and looked around in vigilance. “This area is close to the Demon Realm, and usually no cultivators are coming here. There should be a lot of monster beasts around here. We have walked for four days, and until two days ago, we still met some beasts occasionally. But since yesterday, we haven’t even seen any ordinary animal.”
“Yeah.” Qin Xiumo has also found out. He and Chu Tianfeng usually quarreled, but at this time, they tacitly approached Meng Qi and protected her between their body. The mountain’s terrain was undulating, and the end couldn’t be seen at a glance. Except for the sound of the mountain breeze blowing over the leaves, they could hear nothing.
The sounds of birds and insects that were normal in any forest were absent here. This strange silence made Meng Qi also be vigilant. She moved her hand and quickly gripped the silver medical knife. Her other palm was holding a handful of powder.
Another gust of wind blew by the leaves, and a soft laugh sounded amid the rustling. After the wind passed, the area became quiet for a moment. Suddenly, there was another rustle in the surrounding woods. On the ground covered with fallen leaves, something seemed to approach them.
The three looked at each other. The sound was similar to a snake slithering on the ground, making them all surprised. With a soft ‘bang,’ Chu Tianfeng quickly took the first move and activated a spell. A circle of blue flames appeared around them, instantly turning into a high flame wall, completely surrounding the people inside.
“Be careful!” Chu Tianfeng whispered.
Qin Xiumo flicked his fingers, and his natal long sword appeared. It floated above Meng Qi’s head, protecting her.
“Don’t move.” Qin Xiumo said to Meng Qi. He was a sword dual cultivator. This natal sword was personally refined by him when he was still at Foundation Establishment stage. Since then, the long sword had accompanied him and had long been connected with his mind. As soon as it came out, the sword would automatically follow Qin Xiumo’s intention.
Meng Qi looked around. She suddenly leaned over and quickly drawing arrays on the ground with the silver medical knife. Her movement was very fluid, in no time she had drawn three arrays along the blue flame circle created by Chu Tianfeng.
Meng Qi was rich now. She didn’t even pause to think when she threw eighteen sixth-grade spirit stones into the three arrays. This lavish spending made Chu Tianfeng and Qin Xiumo dizzy. They were talented disciples who were carefully nurtured using countless resources from their respective sects. Their status was high and naturally never lacked money. Sixth-grade spirit stone, however, was a lot of wealth, even for an ordinary disciple of a large sect.
Especially Chu Tianfeng. As long as he thought that his life was not as expensive as these few arrays, he almost vomited blood.
Meng Qi ignored the two men. She continued to take out several large and small porcelain bottles from the storage bracelet, and began to pour different powders into the arrays.
The original flame wall surrounding them gradually began to change. The blue flame gradually became lighter and lighter, and finally turned into a white flame. The wall now looked a little cryptic.
“Ha ha ha ha…” Another laughter resonated, “Do you think this puny thing can deal with my family’s young master?” From the surrounding dense forest, twelve young women in bright red garments slowly walked out, encircling Meng Qi’s group from all directions.
Meng Qi looked at the women. Their appearances were extraordinarily graceful and charming. Compared with the garments that female cultivators usually wear, their clothes were much bolder and unrestrained, showing their honey-colored waists, slender arms, and straight calves.
“Demon cultivators!” Chu Tianfeng looked at these twelve beautiful women with some fear. He took a step closer to Meng Qi and whispered: “After a while, if you see a chance, leave us here and run away.”
Those women should have heard his words. They didn’t restrain their giggle. Under the thick fallen leaves surrounding them, the endless rustling sound became louder and louder. Twelve green vines suddenly jumped from the ground, like twelve ferocious snakes, pointing at the three people inside the flame wall. On each vine, there were seven beautiful yellow flowers.
“Immortal devouring vine!” Chu Tianfeng and Qin Xiumo shouted at the same time.
“Red fox clan?” Meng Qi’s eyes fell on the faces of the twelve beautiful women, and she coughed slightly to remind Chu Tianfeng and Qin Xiumo, “Be careful!”
“Huh?” Before Chu Tianfeng could ask why, suddenly, there was a sweet floral fragrance in the air. The smell made him dizzy, and his feet unsteady. Qin Xiumo was no better. The two young men quickly shook their heads and looked around in surprise.
The red fox women dressed in sparse and gorgeous clothes suddenly began to dance in a circle.
Soft and slender waist.
Coquettish face.
And their white legs.
The silver bells rang from time to time, like heartwarming laughter.
…
For a moment, Chu Tianfeng and Qin Xiumo felt their mouths dry, and their bodies seemed to become hotter.
“Heh-” A cold laugh came from behind one of the women. A young man in a luxurious cloak walked out slowly: “Human cultivators…and only so-so.” The corners of his lips raised, and the man laughed mockingly: “Take the men as your reward.”
“Thank you, young master.” The women giggled in unison.
“As for her…” His gaze fell on Meng Qi, as if looking at his belongings: “This young master has never tasted a human female cultivator before, very goo-…eh?!” The man suddenly stopped. His eyes looked at the medical knife in Meng Qi’s hand suspiciously, especially at the pattern on it. “That…” His eyes flashed: “Why do you have that thing?!”

8 159GIG: God In Gold
So let's cut the pretense: this is some garbage-tier weaboo fiction. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I feel it's important to say that this is some nonsense I write for fun. I don't think it's very good. I'd even go as far as to say that I'm not a good writer at all. I picked up a ball that started rolling when I was a kid and have been intermittently punting it towards the next chapter whenever I feel like it. And you can come on this garbage ride too if you really feel like it. Who knows, maybe there's some gold to be salvaged from this dumpster fire? Synposis: Satou Shibuya is a first year student at Niflheim's Kawagusa General Academy. He's also the self-proclaimed strongest power user, sporting a big enough number on his birth certificate to make a nuclear bomb glow green with envy. There's something to be said about a person whose head is so far up their own ass that you find yourself watching their every move with bated breath, ever curious to see which hole they'll dig themselves into next. This is not that kind of story. This is a story about pride, coming of age, but actually, this is a story about big, stupid superpowered fights. Update Schedule: Whenever.
8 183Stairway to Heaven
Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings, far too weak to survive amid the other extraterrestrials that lie dormant across the galaxies. Instead of physical altercations, they would rather engage in verbal abuse, breaking an individual's psyche as a hobby. They excel at deception and manipulation, far too interested in bringing their brothers and sisters down and reaching for the top of their self-made hierarchies. Beyond their questionable nature and moral compasses, they long to find meaning in their lives and put names to the feelings that drive each passing moment. They are insatiable—far too greedy for more knowledge and a supposed understanding of their lives. It's pitiable, really, the way they struggle to find themselves while ravaging their kind through petty wars and conflicts built off of misunderstanding. Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings. They created words and languages to fill the holes that lived inside their souls, desperate for ways to find meaning in their incredibly short lifespans. They'll waste their entire lives trying to find their so-called passions and reasons for living, acting as if they truly rule the way their lives go, supposed "controllers of their own destiny." Yet, they cannot evade the inevitable visit from death, who stands next to them, ticking the seconds down until their demise.
