“Se-second realm?” Xue Jinwen held the porcelain bottle and stared at Meng Qi in surprise.
Xue Jinwen had an extraordinary background. She was knowledgeable and naturally recognized the value of these pills. Needless to say, whoever invented this method must be very talented. Refined medicine was made from medicinal herbs. In the refining process, the essences of various ingredients were extracted and mixed together. It wasn’t easy to imbue a spell on it.
Meng Qi’s face was so tender, must be so chewy to pinch, and still had a bit of remaining childishness. Xue Jinwen previously guessed that the girl probably came from a hidden medical sect. That was the only way to justify her remarkable skill at such a young age. But a genius disciple cultivated by such a hidden sect couldn’t possibly be unable to refine medicine above the second realm.
For a while, Xue Jinwen didn’t know what to say. “If it’s only second realm…” She muttered with a low voice, “I’m afraid not many sects will be interested. After all, a second realm pill will only be effective for Foundation Establishment cultivators, and almost unusable at the Golden Core stage. You also know…” Xue Jinwen looked at Meng Qi: “Qi Condensation and Foundation Establishment stage aren’t far apart. However, the dividing line to the Golden Core stage is much harder to pass. And the further someone’s cultivation is, the harder it is to be promoted. Not only for the major breakthrough, but also to climb the small realms within. When a cultivator reached the Spirit Severing stage, breaking through a small realm is as hard as to break through a stage.”
“I know.” Meng Qi nodded. Simply put, in Three Thousand Worlds, one Foundation Establishment cultivator might only be able to fight five Qi Condensation cultivators. However, a Golden Core cultivator could easily deal with ten Foundation Establishment cultivators. Entering the Spirit Severing stage, in the first realm, a cultivator could easily handle around 30 to 40 Nascent Soul cultivators. Stepping upward into the Great Ascension stage, their power would also grow tremendously for each small realm’s promotion.
Far different than her medical talent, Meng Qi’s talent in cultivation was just mediocre. Before her death, she was at the Golden Core stage, and that was already with some help. Because a person was worried that her low cultivation base might hinder the growth of her medical cultivation, he tried his best to help Meng Qi form her golden core.
Of course, Meng Qi knew that a second realm Beiming pill has little value. But many medical sects would still be interested. On the other hand, great sects like the Fentian Palace would usually have a dedicated medical branch. None of them would be willing to let go of the pills with such a shocking effect.
So Meng Qi was determined to auction her pills. This was Beiming pill. Unlike the Qingfeng pill, this was one of the most bought and most consumed medicine. Especially whenever there was a conflict, the demand for Beiming pills would also rose significantly.
“But I still want to try.” Meng Qi insisted.
“Okay.” For a moment, Xue Jinwen stared at the younger girl’s calm and confident face before smiling softly. “It will be a little troublesome if you want to auction this pill.”
“But I will find the way.” Xue Jinwen was sincerely appreciating Meng Qi. It was probably the mindset of a senior. When seeing a talented and motivated junior, she suddenly wanted to help with something. Otherwise, she would not give her promise last time, telling Meng Qi to visit her at the Western Realm.

“Thank you, sister.” Meng Qi bowed her head and saluted politely. She took the porcelain bottle and poured out three Beiming pills: “This is for you, sister. It’s my gift of gratitude. Sister can mark it with your spiritual sense, and after coming back, I will send it to the relay station.”
“Your little mouth is really sweet.” Xue Jinwen couldn’t help but smile sweetly. She didn’t keep being polite with Meng Qi. Sometimes, exchanging favor was also part of building a friendship.
“Then, thank you.” Xue Jinwen imprinted the three Beiming pills. “Tomorrow, there will be an auction at this Profound auction house.”
“Alright.” Meng Qi nodded. “Then, I will come again tomorrow.”
“Ah, right.” Xue Jinwen suddenly remembered. She reached out: “Lend me your nameplate.” Xue Jinwen looked at Meng Qi’s nameplate: “Xiao Qi?” She knew this was not a real name and smiled slightly: “What a cute name.”
Meng Qi also smiled. The original owner of this name was even cuter.
“This nameplate has other functions.” Xue Jinwen told her while taking out her own nameplate. She imprinted her spiritual sense on Meng Qi’s nameplate and let Meng Qi do the same to hers.
“With this, since next time, you can go directly to me.” Xue Jinwen explained, “Using spiritual aura, we can also talk to each other from thousands of miles apart.”
“Okay.” Meng Qi nodded. She took back her nameplate and examined it carefully. The nameplate was black and just looked like an ordinary bamboo plate. Every time she came to Beyond The Heaven, Meng Qi’s admiration towards the owner only grew bigger. The owner had a lot of interesting ideas, which was really amazing. Meng Qi couldn’t help but be reminded of her Master. That man was also very talented and imaginative.
“Then I’ll say goodbye first.” Meng Qi nodded at Xue Jinwen for the last time. She followed the manager and walked towards the teleportation array. This was her second visit, and she already knew that this place was located at one of the floating islands, which was the venue for the Profound Auction House. White clouds were floating around, and the sky seemed to be so close.
Meng Qi couldn’t help looking up at the higher islands. Above was the Earth Auction House, Heaven Auction House, and then Beyond The Heaven Restaurant, which was said to serve all kinds of rare delicacies from Three Thousand World. Further up, among the white clouds, there was a majestic island that floated alone. Probably that was the residence of the owner.
“Daoist? Fellow Daoist?”
Meng Qi returned to her sense and smiled at the man: “I’m sorry, it seems I’m a bit distracted.”
“It’s normal.” The man was quite proud. “Many new visitors will be surprised when they first see Beyond The Heaven City and the floating islands.” He paused and continued, “But it looks like that you are even more exceptional. Fellow Daoist has just barely entered Beyond The Heaven and is already favored by fellow Daoist Xue. It was rare for newcomers to be able to participate in the auction.” Although the manager has always been polite to Meng Qi, he was even more so today.
Meng Qi smiled slightly.
“In the future, if you have the opportunity, you should visit Beyond The Heaven Restaurant at least once.” While explaining, the man led Meng Qi towards the teleportation array: “There are all kinds of delicious foods from all regions of Three Thousand Worlds, and they also had dishes that you won’t be able to find in other places.”

“I see.” Meng Qi nodded. If there were things that she didn’t want to give up both in her previous and present life, then delicious food must be one of them.
“That highest island….” Meng Qi looked up and pointed at the single island that was floating leisurely in the sky. “Is that the residence of the owner?”
“Yes… and no.” The man smiled a little mysteriously. “Actually, many people have asked this same question. But, to be honest, we don’t know.”
“No one has ever been there, and no one has ever seen the real owner of Beyond The Heaven.”
“I see…” Meng Qi was not surprised. There were countless cultivators in Three Thousand Worlds, and many also knew about Beyond The Heaven. If someone has ever seen the real master of this place, there would always be some rumor about it. Meng Qi used to travel to many places in her previous life, together with her knowledgeable Master. Even so, she never heard the other party mentioned Beyond The Heaven.
Meng Qi quickly returned to her room. The little white tiger was still lying on the side. He cleverly let his injured front paw stretched forward, while his eyes squinted lazily. When Meng Qi opened her eyes, the little guy also looked up at her.
“Xiao Qi.” Meng Qi happily rubbed his head and squeezed his ears. Why did she never have the idea of raising a fluffy spirit animal before?
Really cute.
Very addictive to touch!
“I will get the jackdaw grass soon.” Meng Qi told the little tiger. She jumped out of bed and walked towards the door. “I’m going to the library pavilion. You stayed obediently in the room.”
Elder Yan was not in the library. Without his permission, a disciple couldn’t go to the fourth floor or take out the books there. Meng Qi was disappointed and asked the disciples who guarded the door: “Senior Brother, where is Elder Yan? Can you tell me when he will be back?”
“Junior Sister doesn’t know?” That day in the great hall, the Nascent Soul elder from Fentian Palace personally invited Meng Qi to join their sect. Almost every disciple of Qingfeng Valley witnessed it. So, the disciple responsible for guarding the library’s door and assisting Elder Yan treated Meng Qi very politely: “All our elders are going out with the sect leader and the elder from Fentian Palace. Young Palace Master Chu is also with them. They are going to exterminating devils.”
“Exterminating devils?” Meng Qi froze.
“That’s right.” The disciple nodded. “Elder Xun Yan from Fentian Palace is leading the team. Before leaving, they expected to be away for ten days to half a month.”
“I see.” Meng Qi nodded. She remembered this matter. Although it also happened in her previous life, she was still locked in the dungeon at this time. After being released, someone told her what happened during the period. The reinforcements from Fentian Palace arrived on time. The entire Qingfeng Valley and even the ordinary residents of Qingfeng Town were saved from annihilation.
After the incident, Qingfeng Valley merged into Fentian Palace and became a small branch of the large sect. Of course, because of Lu Qingran, everyone in Fentian Palace was kind to Qingfeng Valley’s disciples. They were even given a place near Fentian Palace’s main peak, with a spiritual aura that was far superior to Qingfeng Valley’s present location.
In this life, Chu Tianfeng was recovered even faster, and Elder Xun Yan personally led the team. It was expected that the fight would only be smoother.
Meng Qi was relieved. “Thank you, Senior Brother.” She saluted the disciple. “I take my leave now.”
Elder Yan was not here, so Meng Qi couldn’t read the books on the fourth floor. She had finished reading all the books on the first to the third floor. Meng Qi directly went down the mountain to Qingfeng Town, planning to send the three Beiming pills to Xue Jinwen as soon as possible.
After finished with her task, Meng Qi returned to her room. Xiao Qi was still lying on the bamboo bed lazily. He only looked up to see Meng Qi when he heard her pushing the door in. Meng Qi didn’t know whether it was because of his injures, but Xiao Qi always looked lazy.
Meng Qi examined the wound on his front paw. It was still bleeding slowly. Inside the wound, silver light flashed ominously.
Meng Qi gently squeezed Xiao Qi’s fluffy paws with distress. “Let’s rest early today,” She quickly reclined on the bed.
Xiao Qi: “???”
He didn’t have time to retreat to the wall. Meng Qi, who had been accustomed herself after just one night, had already picked him up, and imprisoned his small body inside her arms: “Tomorrow there will be an auction, I have to get up early…don’t make trouble!”
The girl’s silky hair scattered on the bamboo bed, mixed with the soft white fur of the little tiger. Her breathing gradually became regular, and her body, as usual, had a faint smell of medicine.
Xiao Qi’s body stiffened for a while, but slowly getting relaxed. Meng Qi was very careful. Even when she hugged him, she carefully avoided the wound.
Just……
The little white tiger slowly extended his paw and placed it on Meng Qi’s slender wrist. A cultivator who still hasn’t built her foundation yet. The slightest blow from him would wipe her life easily. So, he wasn’t afraid of her, not at all! It was just that his injury was indeed too severe, so he was too bothered to struggle. Convincing himself, the little white tiger slowly closed his eyes, and his breathing gradually became regular.
The next day, Meng Qi got up early. At the appointed time with Xue Jinwen, she already arrived outside the courtyard at the Profound Auction House’s floating island.
“Let’s go.”
The auction officially started at 9 in the morning. Xue Jinwen led Meng Qi to the auction floor located in the middle of the island and gave a brief explanation on the road: “The rules of Beyond The Heaven’s auction are the same for all three auction houses of Profound, Earth, and Heaven.”
“The item with the lowest rank will be auctioned first, and it goes all the way until the highest rank.” She said: “The main attraction often saved for the last. For a long time, there hasn’t been an auction for a low-rank item such as a second realm pill…” Xue Jinwen couldn’t help laughing: “So your Beiming pill will be today’s first lot.”
Meng Qi nodded: “Thank you, Sister.”
“We’re here.” Xue Jinwen stopped, “Here is the Profound auction house of Beyond The Heaven. Who knows how many treasures from the Three Thousand Worlds has flowed in and out of this place.”
While listening to Xue Jinwen’s words, Meng Qi looked up ahead. Right in front of her eyes, there was a courtyard that didn’t look too imposing. Just looking from the outside, it wasn’t even as big as the courtyard where Xue Jinwen lived in. But the building was old and simple. Surrounded by clouds and mist, it looked like a mystical celestial building.
Probably because of the auction today, soon after Meng Qi and Xue Jinwen arrived, there was a steady stream of cultivators walking towards the courtyard. The place didn’t seem to be that vast, but no matter how many people go in, it still didn’t have the sign to get crowded.
Meng Qi’s eyes swept the cultivators around. Xue Jinwen explained: “To protect the identity of the buyers participating in the auction, the system here is to assign a separated space for each person.” She walked forward and said: “You come with me.”
Meng Qi was startled and was about to follow Xue Jinwen when suddenly a figure passed by her.
The man was tall. He wore a white robe and walked very fast. Meng Qi didn’t see him taking many steps, but his figure instantly brushed past her. She could only see the other person’s tall and straight back. His black hair was bundled on the head by a white jade headdress, and his long sleeves fluttered like an immortal.
Seemingly feeling Meng Qi’s gaze, the white-robed man suddenly looked back slightly, exposing his delicate jaw. Even if the other party was in such a hurry, his face, among the countless beautiful and handsome people in Three Thousand Worlds, still could be said to be a high-ranking one. Very attractive and noble-looking. Many people must be mesmerized by his look alone.
Meng Qi suddenly widened her eyes.
Isn’t he—

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
