《The Impossible Girl》Six

Jasper watched as his wife was engrossed in a book. They were hanging out in Jasper's room/study. Marrisa lay comfortably on her stomach on his couch. Eyes wide, mouth slightly agape, her sock covered feet in the air, waving; she looked adorable.
Marrisa was in a whole other world. She flipped the pages with enthusiasm, so eager to find out what happens next. Out of her peripheral, she noticed that Jasper was facing her. She turned her head to look at him, grinning.
"You're staring again," she commented.
"Sorry, I can't help it," he smiled. "Are you enjoying the book?"
"Yes, actually, but they got some things wrong about Napoléon," she said, still staring at the book.
Jasper chuckled. "What things?"
"He's not as... dull and serious as the book says he is. He can be kind, gentle, and he's a firecracker in bed," she smiled.
"What?" Jasper furrowed his brows. Is she saying that she met Napolèon Bonaparte I?
Damn it, she thought. "Um."
"You've met Napolèon Bonaparte?"
Marrisa sighed and sat up. "Yes."
"The beginning of his reign was more than 40 years before I was born," he said.
Marrisa nodded, letting him piece it together.
"How old are you?" Jasper asked.
Marrisa scoffed, folding her arms over her chest. "Jasper, its very rude to ask a woman her age."
"I'm sorry, but... you're older than I anticipated," he frowned, still confused.
Marrisa sighed again. "I'm actually older than all of you put together."
Jasper waited patiently, feeling the hesitation she bore. Was she ashamed of how old she was? Was she afraid that he wouldn't love her anymore? It was impossible for him to stop loving her, no matter what she has done.
"Let's just say that I remember George Washington, met him, actually. I also remember... when Jesus was hung on the cross," Marrisa said quietly.
"I... what... Are you serious?" Jasper was completely at a loss for words.
"He was a very good man," she nodded. "I witnessed many of his miracles. I was starting to go down a dark path, so he helped me through it."

"That's... that's incredible," Jasper breathed.
The Cullen family, minus Edward and Bella, gathered in Jasper's doorway. They were all in awe. Marrisa was alive in B.C. She was older than any vampire they knew, including the members of the Volturi.
"So, God is real?" Carlisle asked.
"That, I don't know. I've never met God. There are many things that the Bible got wrong, though. Important things, as a matter of fact, but I won't get into all of that."
"If you've been alive that long, do you know how vampires came to be?" Jasper asked.
"Yes," Marrisa said.
"How?" Rosalie demanded.
Marrisa looked down, sighing.
"Vampires were created by Lucifer to wreck havoc upon the Earth, because he was jealous of God's creation of man. However, since he didn't posses the power that God had, vampires were given free will as well. Lucifer created 50 original vampires, half of those chose the 'vegetarian' diet. Most went into hiding, while the others made more. I only learned this after... Melody. It wasn't until after that night did I learn about vampires."
Marrisa's sadness rolled off of her, making Jasper stiffen and pull her close.
"I think that's enough sharing for today," he said softly.
Esme flitted over to them for a second and gave them both kisses on their heads before everyone left them be.
Marrisa was pacing atop the mountain, anxiously waiting for the battle to start. She was also very agitated with Bella and Jacob.
"You kissed him?!"
"He was basically saying that he was going to commit suicide!" Bella cried.
"Oh, my God, he's such a tool! You know better than that, Bella. That was just a line to get you to kiss him," Marrisa growled. She was going to give Jacob a piece of her mind after this.
"I... just didn't want him to actually do it," Bella sighed.
"He'll never do it, Bella. He's too self centered to do it," Marrisa glowered.
"He tricked you, Bella. I'm not mad at you," Edward chimed in.
"Why not!?" Bella demanded.
"Because he's actually a man, believe it or not. Unlike Jacob," Marrisa grimaced.

Edward lightly chuckled then became serious. "Its starting."
Edward translated the fight, letting both girls know what was going on while Seth kept watch. Suddenly, Seth growled and Edward quickly pushed Bella and Marrisa behind him. Marrisa watched carefully, zeroing in on the place Edward was staring.
Victoria and Riley stepped through the trees, baring their teeth. Marrisa started strategizing. Kill them quickly so there's no harm coming to either Bella or Edward? Or play around with them?
"Riley, she's lying to you," Edward spoke.
Riley looked over to Victoria, a questioning look on his face.
"Don't listen to him, Riley. I told you about their mind games," Victoria's bell like voice rang out.
Riley nodded and charged Edward. Seth pounced, heading to Victoria. As the fighting began, Marrisa took a stance in front of Bella. She was ready to take on either vampire. Soon after, Seth got hurt. The poor thing was thrown into a tree, yelping in pain.
"Seth!" Bella cried.
Then Victoria had Edward in a head lock and was about to rip off his head. Bella whirled around and picked up a rock. Before Marrisa could stop her, Bella scraped the rock down her wrist. The blood flowed freely, making all three vampire suck in a breath. Riley looked at Bella, hunger in his eyes and dove for Bella.
"No!" Edward roared.
Marrisa threw up her hands, catching Riley in mid air. There he was, floating in the air. Both Victoria and Riley were staring at Marrisa. She slowly staring closing her hands into fists, all the while Riley was starting to crumple. Riley started screaming in excruciating pain as his body imploded in on itself. As his ashes dispersed, Victoria cried out in fear. She had released Edward and he took that opportunity to finish her off.
Edward rushed over to Bella, wrapping her wrist.
"Are you two okay?" He asked.
Both girls nodded. Then they all headed down to the base of the mountain.

Alice just saw that the Volturi were coming and Marrisa was pissed. She didn't necessarily like the Volturi, and she knew that Aro was afraid of her. And now they are coming here, probably to threaten them when they see that Bella is still human.
Marrisa kept glancing worriedly at Bree, a newborn that willingly stood down. Soon, she could feel that three new vampires came near.
"Jane, Alec, Demetri," Edward greeted.
Jane and Alec were new names to Marrisa, but Demetri, she knew. As the conversation neared its end, Jane spoke up with an annoyed voice.
"There is another human here," she seethed.
Damn it, Marrisa thought.
Marrisa stepped out from behind Jasper, a sweet smile on her face. She caught sight of Demetri's eyes bugging out of his head.
"Who are you?" Jane demanded.
"My name is Marrisa. You don't know me, but Demetri does."
Jane looked over to Demetri, who seemed to be in a trance.
"How?" He whispered.
"There are many things you don't know, my dear," Marrisa smiled.
Jane had had enough, her eyes bore into Marrisa's. She wanted her to feel pain. But nothing happened. Marrisa, however, did feel that she was being mentally attacked. She glared at Jane.
"You're not strong enough, child. I suggest you stop," Marrisa growled. She then looked back to Demetri.
"Tell Aro I'm very disappointed. One of his members attacked me and you all threatened my family," she said calmly.
Demetri bowed his head, whispering a 'Yes, ma'am' and grabbed Jane and Alec, disappearing from sight.
"What the hell was that?" Emmett asked.
"The older members of the Volturi fear me. They thought I was dead, since the last time I visited was over 200 years ago," Marrisa explained, still staring at the space where the Volturi members ran off to.
"He was terrified," Jasper commented.
"Let's go," Carlisle said. "I've got to get to Jacob."
And everyone went their separate ways. Marrisa followed Jasper home, ready to pay Jacob a visit when he's in just slightly better health.
