Carlisle's car was already in the drive when Alice pulled up. She dashed to the other side of the jeep and helped Jasper out. Carlisle and Esme were there immediately, holding up their son as his legs gave out again.
"What is going on?" Emse demanded, she feared for her son.
"He's having a panic attack. What caused this?" Carlisle looked to Alice.
"Marrisa. Bella's sister was having a panic attack when she dropped Bella off. Her emotions are so strong that it effected him severely," Alice informed.
They basically carried him into the house and sat him on the couch. Jasper could finally breathe, as much as a vampire could. He took another deep breath, the panic slowly receding. He looked to Alice.
"It was her," he breathed.
Alice nodded, smiling.
"Bella's sister? How do you know her?" Carlisle asked.
Jasper sighed. "Well, first thing's first. Alice and I are not mates."
Esme gasped. "What?"
Jasper sat up slowly, sitting straighter.
"When I was human, a couple years before I went into the army, I met a woman named Marrisa. She was visiting Texas from Memphis, Tennessee. I bought her coffee at the café we were at. We spent all of our time together, and we soon fell in love. The day she was leaving to go back home, I begged her to stay with me. We married not long after. Then I enlisted. You know the rest. I didn't remember any of this until I laid my eyes on her again. I never thought I would see her again..."
"Marrisa is his true mate," Alice announced.
"Was she turned?" Carlisle asked.
Jasper shook his head. "She's still human. It looks like she hasn't aged a day."
Carlisle looked thoughtful. "How is she still alive then?"

They all looked to Alice for an answer. She let out an exasperated sigh. "That, I don't know."

Marrisa stumbled into the house, slamming the door shut behind her. Her cheeks were soaked, her nose was running, and she was hyperventilating. She tried going upstairs, but her sobs had exhausted her and she fell against the hard wood. She lay there, hugging herself and willing herself to be calm. It just wasn't working.
She let out a quick scream, hoping for relief. Every light bulb in the house overloaded and busted, a few windows received cracks, every piece of furniture levitated and then was slammed back down. Legs of the kitchen chairs were broken, the end table was just smashed to smithereens, and there was an obvious rip in the fabric of the couch.
It was silent. Marrisa sat up and surveyed the destruction she caused. She sighed, wiping her face with her sleeve. She spent hours on end cleaning up the house. When all the glass was clean and the legs of the chairs were mended, she sat on the couch. The cracks in the windows, she would have to explain, as well as why there are no more light bulbs.
She check her cell phone, seeing that Bella had texted her several times asking if she was okay. She sent a quick text back.

I am not professionally trained as a writer but I have tried my best to teach myself and make the chapters as clean as possible. I believe I have reached a point where my limited skills cannot improve the work or make any more corrections. It is very difficult to show this work, but if I do not, I fear I will never improve and learn. So here it is. To anyone who lends the time to read all of this and any of my chapters. Thank you.
