After Green left his office in a hurry, He tried to go after her, but she was so fast that she was already in the elevator. So He went back in the office and sat on his chair, the recent scene still playing in his head, She brought him food. The woman he was bent on ignoring for the rest of his life brought him food. He knows he hasn't been the nicest person towards her, even though it was for her own good, but she is still here, being nice to him. He did not deserve her, at all. He is mentally messed up, even though it is not really obvious, but he has a past just like everyone else, and it still haunts him to this very day.
He still can't believe that he also kissed her, even though she responded, it felt so right that he thought it was wrong. This was not supposed to go down like this. This is a f*cking contract, he is supposed to stay with her for two years, since he was not going to have a child with her, and divorce her right after, and to think he only spent like a month with her, it felt like forever. And that kiss, it was not a part of his plan at all. This girl is too pure and innocent for him and He does not want to mess her up. But still, He wants this inheritance. In 11 months, It will be their 1 year anniversary, And maybe he can negotiate with his father to end this whole charade.
He will just tell him that He deserved half of the inheritance at least, after that, He can divorce her, and still be friends with her. Just 11 more months he thought
"Am I in another universe or what? Did I just see Yasmin going downstairs with smoke coming out of her ears" asked tony, interrupting my thoughts and entering the room

"I don't know what you did, and I don't even want to know honestly. I came here just to give you these papers" He said handing me a folder
"What is that smell? Hum FOOD' He said sounding like a child. he looked around until he found the bag that green brought. He went so fast and opened the bag. I hit his hand and took the bag from him
"She brought it for me, you came here for the papers, you can go back now"
"But, I am so hungry"
"So what? Do I look like your mom?" I asked, when he didn't answer, I ignored him opened the food and started eating. He kept staring at me,so I just averted my eyes so I wouldn't look at him. I mean why does he want to eat Green's food. This is my favorite dish and it tastes so good that I did not want to share. But I felt bad and saw an extra spoon, so I gave it to him and put the food on the table. He was so excited that he started to eat without a word. After a minute of eating he opened his big mouth, and I so wanted to punch him
"Oh God, this is so good that I want to marry Yasmin" He had the audacity to say. I mean, doesn't he know that she is mine? So I took the food away from him and glared at him
"I did not mean that at all. Please Malik, don't punish me like this, I mean let me have one more spoon please, this is like the best fried rice I've ever had in my whole life"
"I can't. You are about to fall in love with her" I said stubbornly

"I promise you I won't fall in love with her promis juré " He said the last part in french. That was our code from our childhood to end any silly argument we were having. It just meant I promise in a way. I looked at him to see any sign of playfulness, but he was dead serious. So I put the food back on the table, and we ate silently now.
"Remember, she is my wife" I said in a really small voice after a while
"promis juré'" He said again, and we both bursted out laughing, I mean, I can't believe we were having this conversation, but I am just glad that he got the hint.
