I walked up to the entrance and saw two bulky men who I assumed are part of the security, since they were guarding the entrance. They were like statues, so I just walked up to them, and they did not even look at me, so I went inside and saw a man on a desk who looked like he preferred being anywhere but here.

"Hello, I am here to see Malik Qureshi" I said, hoping he is the only one with that name, I mean, he is the only heir to this whole company, everyone must know him, right? The guy continued checking his phone, not even looking at me, rude much?

"Do you have an appointment? If not, there is no guarantee you will see Mr. Malik, he is a busy man. But first write your name here and the reason of your visit, we keep these in our records" He said with his British accent, passing me a notebook, still ignoring me. I took the notebook, and wrote Yasmin Qureshi under name, I was not done writing the rest that the man jumped from his chair and put on his glasses.

"M- Mrs Qureshi? As in Mrs. Malik Qureshi?" He asked looking so scared

" Uhm Yes?" I half answered and half asked, not really sure why he was asking this

"I am so sorry Mrs., it was not my intention to sound rude, You don't have to do any of this, this is the way" He said a little bit too quick. So now he was paying attention to me? I ignored him too and kept walking, putting on my best poker face. He walked me and opened an elevator for me

"This is the boss's elevator, it will bring you straight to his floor. Here he is on the 50th floor" He said while inserting the key and pushing the button that said 50

"Again, I really apologize for my behavior, please don't fire me, I really need this job to feed my family" He apologized again, before going out of the elevator, still with pleading eyes.

"We will see" I said when the elevator was about to close, but I still could see the fear in his eyes. Serve him right. He shouldn't be rude to people, I mean I was polite and he was just plain rude. Don't get me wrong, I am not going to get him fired, but he didn't have to know that.

The elevator opened up on the 50th floor, I got out and kept walking straight, trying not to make unnecessary eye contact. This building is so tall, and it even have a roof access from the elevator, I wanted to press that button so bad and see it what happens, but that was not the reason I was here

I saw a woman on a desk, which I will guess is a secretary, so I walked up to her, and talked to her politely

"Hey, I am here to see Malik" I said with a smile. The lady that I assumed is the secretary looked at me with her fake eyelashes.

"So? he is busy" She scowled at me

"It's fine, I just want to see him for a minute. Are you going to tell me he is too busy to see his wife for a minute" I stated, hoping she would get the hint and just tell me where to go. But the woman was too stubborn, and I really was not in the mood

"So what? And I don't even know what he sees in you, I mean, he is way out of your league. Most likely he did not have a choice, I mean look at you. He can do way better" she said with a disgusted voice. This woman did not just insult me. I put down the food on a nearer table and put my hands on her desk

"By better you meant you?" The woman smirked at this. Don't tell me she has a history with my husband or was hitting on him. For God's sake he is married. I really tried my best to stay polite and calm during this whole situation but enough is enough

"So what? It does not matter because guess what? My last name is now and will forever be Qureshi, and for your information, we share a house, a room and just about a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g, we are married under the law and God. You know what my point is?He is and always will be M-I-N-E kapish? Now are you going to show me the way or should I just find it myself? After all, I don't even think you are smart enough to remember your own name" I said smirking now. This b is really testing my patience and like I said before, I don't have time to waste. But I still can't believe I went off on her, I mean, I am still surprised, but she deserved it too. She was so red that she picked the phone, I smiled at her, to show her I won, thinking she was calling Malik, but no, I heard her saying something that really made me wanna strangle her

"Hello, yes there is a crazy lady here, she needs to be shown the way to the exit", this girl did not just call me crazy and called security on me. I took a deep breath to calm my nerves before I do something crazy, I just kept walking down the hall to find the room by myself when two men out of nowhere appeared in front of me, and started dragging me the opposite hall. What the hell?

"Malik" I yelled in last attempt.

A door suddenly opened and a man came out of it

"What the hell" He yelled and just everyone stopped doing whatever they were doing and all eyes were on him. I looked at him and realized that it was Malik. He looked so scary that I immediately lowered my gaze again.

"You, you and you, are all fired" He said in a really calm voice. I looked up and saw that he was staring up at his secretary. "And you Victoria, I was not expecting this from you. Take all your belongings, and today is your last day here. Since I am feeling generous today, You are going to get your paycheck for this month even though it started today. You are all Dismissed" He said

After saying this, I looked at 'Victoria' and smiled at her victoriously; maybe it is childish, but I don't like her. She looked like she wanted to say something, but she knew better. I watched her lowering her head in shame and like Malik said, she was getting her belongings

"I am sorry baby you had to experience this. Let's go in my office to talk" He said in a really sweet voice, emphasizing on the talk. What did I miss? I looked at his eyes to determine what he meant by that . He was smirking now, I got it Malik

"Of course Darling" I answered emphasizing on the 'darling' and followed him. He put his hand on my waist, so I turned around looked at Victoria who had her mouth wide open, I sticked my tongue at her, before going inside of Malik's office. I just couldn't pass that opportunity. It is childish, so what? But I made sure that she was the only one who saw that. Malik closed the door. He took a step forward, and I took one backward, we played that dance until I was on the wall now and he put his two arms, blocking my exits

"So my lovely wife wants to talk to me" he said in a husky voice, with a thick British accent. I could see a hint of playfulness and dangerousness in his eyes. What did I get myself into?
