"I'm guessing you didn't rent this car?" Bella asked Alice as they drove to Volterra, where the Volturi currently resided and where Edward and Jasper were.

Theresa sat in the back seat, still wearing her white hospital gown, fidgeting with her hospital bracelet that was on her wrist.

Since Theresa was not discharged like any other patient she didn't get her clothes back, nor did she have time to get changed, so Alice gave her her jacket before going to the airport. Because then they apparently wouldn't get as many stares as the three teenage girls going to Italy were already getting.

After breaking out of the psych ward Bella had told Theresa that Edward thought she was dead and that he was asking the Volturi the same thing as Jasper.

Theresa thought what would happen to her if Jasper was actually gone. Sure he was out of her life, but she knew that he was at least alive (well as alive as a vampire could be) and safe with his family, but now, she had no clue.

"I figured, you wouldn't be opposed to grand theft auto" Alice said as Bella shook her head, "Not today."

The car ride was pretty much silent. Alice gave updates whenever she could and Bella started to squirm in the front seat as she began to see buildings instead of the green grass they've been seeing for a half hour.

Suddenly Alice gasped, breaking the silence, causing Theresa to poke her head in between the two front seats, "Alice what happened?" Theresa asked the girl.

Bella copied Theresa asking Alice, "What? What are you seeing?"

"They refused Edward."

"So?" Bella asked her, as she turned to look at Bella, "Edward is gonna make a scene. Show himself to the humans" Alice said as Bella's eyes widened, "No! When?" Bella asked her, "He's gonna wait until noon, when the sun's at it's highest."

"What about Jasper?" Theresa asked Alice as Alice turned to look at the girl, looking pained to say the next words that came out of her mouth, "I don't know, I can't see his future."

Theresa sat back in her seat, shocked.

She had no words to explain how she was feeling right now. One moment she though that she had gotten him back and the next, he was torn away from her once again.

"Alice, you gotta hurry up!" Bella yelled as Alice drove faster, if that was even possible.

"Listen to me Theresa!" Alice yelled as she looked in the rear view mirror at the girl, still in her hospital outfit, "There's Volterra!" The pixie hair girl pointed towards the city, "There is still a chance we can save Edward and Jasper!"

"Why are they all in red?" Bella asked as the three girls finally arrived to the city, driving in between crowds of people wearing red coats. "San Marcos Day festival" Alice said, maneuvering around the people, "They're commemorating the expulsion of the vampires from the city."

"Seems more like a cult" Theresa said.

"It's the perfect setting. The Volturi will never let Edward get far enough to reveal himself" Alice said, ignoring Theresa's comment.

"We have five minutes!" Bella yelled as she began to grip at her hair.

All of a sudden sirens were heard and lights were seen next to the car.

"Keep going!" Bella shouted at Alice, not caring about the police having blocked their way to the Volturi.

As Alice as Bella continued to bicker, from the back seat, Theresa noticed Edward in the entry way of a building.

Theresa unbuckled her seatbelt.

As Alice began to try driving again Theresa stopped her.

"Just stop the car" Theresa said quietly, causing Alice to raise an eyebrow and look at her through the rear view mirror, "What?" She asked the girl as Theresa shook her head before yelling louder this time, "" Alice did what she said, stopping the car abruptly causing the girls to launch forward before their backs hitting the seats again, "What are you doing!?" Alice asked Theresa as Theresa got out of the car.

Theresa said nothing as Alice and Bella yelled her name. She just ran. She had to save him, he couldn't die, not because of his guilt. Theresa wouldn't allow it. If she couldn't save Jasper then she would at least save Edward, for Bella.

A clock bell rang as Edward began to walk out into the sunlight, Theresa noticed a young boy tugging on his moms robe, "Edward!" Theresa yelled, putting up her hands, red energy glowing from them as it threw Edward back into the tower.

"Are you nuts!?" Theresa yelled, running towards Edward, into the entrance of the stone tower, as Bella copied her actions, running in behind her. "Edward!" She yelled, running towards him, hugging him tightly. "Open your eyes, look at me. I'm alive" Bella said, pulling away from the hug to put both of her hands on Edward's face, making him look her in the eyes, "Bella?" He whispered, more to himself, but it was loud enough that Theresa and Bella could hear him, "You're here" He said as Bella nodded, "Yeah."

"You're alive!" Edward yelled happily, hugging Bella once more, "Yes."

"Sorry to brake up this lovely reunion," Theresa said, causing the couple to separate from their hug and look at her, "But where's my boyfriend?"

"You'll see him soon enough," A voice said causing Theresa to turn around. Standing there, in front of the doors, their only way out, was a pale man with messy brown hair and red eyes wearing a black robe, "Aro wants to speak with you again" The man said, this time speaking to Edward.

"No rules were broken" Edward said, grabbing Theresa and moving her behind him, as the vampire forced a smile, "Nevertheless, we should take this conversation," He said, pausing to look around before continuing, "To a more appropriate venue."

Edward sighed before nodding his head in agreement, "Fine."

Edward turned to Bella with a smile, "Bella, why don't you and Tess go and enjoy the rest of the festival?"

Bella was about to answer, but was cut off by the vampire, "The girl's come with us."

Edward turned around quickly to face the vampire, "No" He said sternly with a glare, "You can go to hell."

All of a sudden the wooden door's flew opened, Alice walking in.

"Come on, guys," Alice said as she took off her scarf and sun glasses, "It's a festival. We wouldn't want to make a scene."

"We wouldn't" The vampire agreed, Alice and him suddenly in a staring contest.

"Enough!" A voice yellled, causing Theresa to jump.

Theresa watched as another woman, obviously a vampire, walked out of the shadows. She was pale, with slicked back blonde hair that was put into a bun, and red eyes. Theresa didn't want to show weakness or fear, but in this situation, with two vampires who survive off of human blood staring at her and Bella, she will admit, she's trying not to show it, but she's shitting herself.

"Jane" Edward said, obviously not happy to see her again.

"Aro sent me to see what's taking so long" The girl named Jane, according to Edward, said as she turned her back to the group before walking away.

"Just do as she says" Alice whispered in Theresa's ear as she walked with her, taking her hand in her own and giving it a light squeeze, "Are you scared?" She asked Theresa as Theresa's eyes widened, "No shit Alice!" Theresa whisper-yelled at Alice, "I just met two vampires who drink human blood and I'm thinking there's a lot more behind that door!" Theresa yelled, pointing at the door that Jane opened.

Jane walked into the large white marble room, Edward, Bella, Alice, and Theresa following after her.

Theresa looked around as she walked into the room. It looked, and most likely was, expensive. White marble walls, white marble tile floors, marble steps leading up the three red velvet covered thrones. She turned her attention to the three men sitting on the chairs, like royalty, and two men off to the side, guarding them, as if they needed it, all with red eyes.

Theresa jumped at the sound of the large wooden door closing, the vampire that greeted them, closing it.

He gave Theresa a smile, his fangs showing, running his tongue over the exposed fangs, causing her to turn back around.

"And I was right" Theresa whispered to Alice with a glare, as Alice gave her a look that said, "Not the time."

"Good afternoon!" One of the men with long slicked back black hair and red eyes exclaimed as he stood up from his seat and walked towards the four outsiders.

"Sister, I sent you out to get one and you bring back four!" The man said, clapping his hands together, "Such a clever girl."

The man walked down the white marble steps and stood in front of Bella.

"What a happy surprise! Bella is alive after all. Isn't that wonderful?" He asked, turning to look at the two men still sitting down in their chairs, "I love a happy ending. They are so rare."

"How rude of me!" The man said, grabbing Bella's hand and holding it with both of his, "I am Aro" He said, introducing himself.

"That is Marcus," Aro said, using his arm to point out the other vampire with long slicked back black hair, "And that is Caius" Aro said, introducing the vampire with long slicked back blonde hair.

He stood still for a moment, smiling at the men, before turning to look at Theresa, "La Tua Cantante" He said, causing Theresa to raise an eyebrow.

"You must be Jasper's mate" Aro said, walking over towards Theresa. Theresa only nodded in response before asking, "Where is he?" but Aro just ignored Theresa, taking her hands and placing his own on top of hers, "I can read every thought someone has ever had with one touch," Aro said, looking into Theresa's eyes before continuing, "But not your's, my dear."

Aro let go of her hand and walked away, his back facing her, "Why is that?" He asked her as he stopped walking and turned back around to face her.

Theresa took a deep breath before deciding what to say next, "Show me that Jasper is okay and I'll tell you."

"Tess!" Alice yelled, trying to gain the girls attention, but ultimately failed.

Theresa had no idea why Aro couldn't read her thoughts, and Alice knew that. Once Aro knew the truth, all bets would be off, and Theresa would be in danger.

Aro smiled, "You know how to bargain," He said as he waved a finger at her, "I like it" He said before turning around, "Felix, Bring him here" He ordered the vampire with messy brown hair as he nodded, leaving the room for a moment before coming back in with a sickly looking Jasper.

Theresa gasped when she saw him. His hair had lost it's blondness, it almost looked white. His eyes weren't a shining gold color anymore they were just a dull grey and his body- Theresa could tell that he hasn't fed in weeks.

"!" She said, beginning to run over to him but was stopped by Aro holding his arm out in front of her, "I believe we made a deal" Aro paused, smirking before continuing "Darling."

When Aro said that Theresa turned her attention back to him, sending him a glare, his arm still on her chest, stopping her from getting to Jasper.

Theresa was about to say something to him, but was cut off by a voice she hadn't heard in months, "Don't call her that!" Jasper yelled through gritted teeth.

Aro smiled and turned to Theresa, "Oh, look! The major decided to join us, how lovely!"

Theresa had never heard anyone call Jasper that, nor did she like it when Aro did, but when she glanced back at Jasper, she understood why. He was angry, not even, furious was more like it. His eyes were now bright red and he was fighting against Felix's hold.

Aro looked at Theresa intently before deciding his next move, "Why can't I read your mind?" He asked Theresa as she shook her head, "I don't know."

"I wonder if-" Aro paused, looking around at all the other vampires in the room before speaking again, "You are immune to all our powers."

"Shall we, Jane?" Aro asked Jane as she smiled creepily and nodded.

"!" Jasper yelled, finally breaking away from Felix and running in front of Theresa to protect her, but was stopped by Jane, "Pain."

With only one word Jasper stopped in his tracks, falling to the ground in pain, him gasping for air as Jane just sat back and smiled.

Theresa tried to run towards Jasper, but was stopped by Felix using his vampire speed to run over to her and hold her back.

"Stop!" Theresa begged, but it didn't. Jane continued to hurt her mate and as it got worse and worse Theresa continued to yell, "Stop, please! Stop!"

Theresa thrashed against Felix, trying to get out of his grip, as she watched Jasper suffer. She couldn't stand to see anymore of this, Theresa quickly put her hand up and using her powers, threw Jane against the marble wall, stopping her concentration.

Jasper fell to the ground as Jane got up, revealing cracks in the marble wall.

Felix held Theresa tighter, holding her forehead with his hand, and putting his arm over her chest, exposing her neck, as Jane walked over to her, "I'll kill you" Jane said as Theresa, scared shitless, said, "It doesn't seem like you could, considering I threw you into a wall."

"This may hurt just a little." Jane said as she glared at Theresa, trying to use her powers the same way she did on Jasper on Theresa, but it didn't work.

"Jane" Aro said.

"Master" Jane answered, not loosing her focus on Theresa, "Stop."

Once Aro said that Jane took her eyes off of Theresa and turned to Aro.

"You," Aro said, pointing at Theresa, "You are very powerful, my dear."

"What should we do with you?" Aro asked as he traced his finger along Theresa's jawline. Theresa tried to move her head to stop him from touching her, but couldn't because of the hold Felix had on her.

"You already know what you're going to do, Aro" Marcus said, standing up from his chair, "She knows too much, she's a liability."

"They both do" Caius added.

Aro nodded in agreement, "That's true."

"Felix!" Aro yelled, snapping his fingers, before turning around to walk back to his seat. Felix nodded, taking his hand off of Theresa's forehead and putting it on Theresa's throat, choking her.

"Get away from her!" Jasper yelled, running over to Felix, tackling him, which caused him to let go off Theresa, leaving her gasping for air.

Jasper threw Felix against a wall, but was quickly stopped by Jane running over and holding Jasper's head in her hands, ready to break it off of his body.

"!" Alice yelled, causing Aro to stop walking and turn around to face her, "Yes?" He asked as Alice looked at Jasper before speaking, "She is the Scarlett Witch's daughter."

Jane let go of Jasper, out of shock as Aro nodded at Alice, "Go on."

"We will help her control her powers, I've seen it" Alice said, pausing to look at Theresa, who was still currently on the ground, before continuing, "I've also seen her turn into one of us."

Theresa's eyes widened. Aro walked over to Alice, took her hands in his, and continued to talk to her, but Theresa wasn't listening. Jasper had left her. What if he were to do that again when she was a vampire? She would have to deal with out him forever, and Theresa didn't know if she could do that. But it doesn't really matter, Alice already saw it.

Aro let go of Alice's hands and smiled, "!" Aro exclaimed, causing Theresa to turn to face him, "To see, what you have seen. Before it has happened."

Aro turned to Theresa, offering her his hand, which she took, and helped her stand up, "Your gifts will make for an intriguing immortal" Aro said to her before turning to look at Bella, "You too Isabella" He said, causing the four, all except Alice to widened their eyes.

If anyone was against Bella being a vampire, it was Edward. He wouldn't change her, unless he had to.

"Go now!" Aro yelled happily, letting go of his grip on Theresa's hand.

With her new found freedom, Theresa quickly ran over to Jasper, hugging him.

"Make your preparations!" Aro yelled as Jasper pulled away from Theresa, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear, and looked at Aro one last time before turning his attention back to his mate, "Let's go."

"I would advise that you follow through on your promise soon," Caius said, causing the couple to stop walking, "We do not offer second chances."

Jasper tightened his grip on Theresa's hand before opening the door, "Goodbye" Aro said, waving goodbye to the five outsiders as they left, the door shutting behind them, "My young friends."
