《Bakugou X Kirishima's sister (Reader)》Alternate Ending 2

The smell of old books filled the air as you hid in the back of the library, not wanting to sit in your room any longer, you needed a change of scenery. The library seemed like the perfect place; you could be alone to work on your homework, but you weren't forced to be around the people trying to avoid you. You had your headphones in, bobbing your head to the music as you filled in what ever worksheet you'd gotten for homework.

A pair of shoes stopped in front of you, causing you to look up. You noticed his violet hair first; his emotionless expression held some curiosity as he peered down at you. Wondering what you were doing sitting alone on the floor of the back of the library. You took out one of your headphones, not sure if he had tried speaking with you.

"Whatcha doing back here?" He asked still giving you that slightly confused look.

"Oh, you know. Just studying." You tried to smile up at him, but it didn't quite reach your eyes. He didn't say anything after that, just kind of stood there awkwardly, still not sure why you were back here by yourself. "Did you need something?"

"Just a book," he pointed to a shelf above where you were sitting.

"Oh sorry," you scooted over so he could move to the spot where you were once sat.

"You know I've never seen you study here before. Who are you hiding from?" he asked as he searched the row of books for the particular one, he wanted.

Boy did he get to the point. "Mostly my brother... and his friends." You reluctantly added the last part, averting your eyes from his.

He froze a moment before he reached out picking up a book. "So, is that why you looked sad the other day?" He looked back down at you still sitting on the floor.

You nodded slowly, not really trusting your voice at this point. You could hear him take a breath before he took a seat next to you.

"Well, since we're friends now, we can talk about it if you want. Or if that's not what you want, we can talk about something else?" he offered.

With pursed lips you looked over at him, "Honestly, can we talk about anything else?"

Shinsou looked off then, thinking of a topic of conversation. "What are you working on?"

You couldn't help but smile to yourself, at least he was trying. You knew friendship would be very different with Shinsou, he was a completely different personality type than the types of people you usually spent your time with.

"Just some worksheet Midnight assigned." You tapped the paper with your pencil bringing his attention to what you were writing on.

"You know, I think she gave us the same thing, want to work on it together?"

"I'd like that actually," you smiled at him.

His gaze narrowed as he got a better look at your cheek. "What happened?" his reaction was to reach out and graze his finger along the scratch on your face, but he pulled back, not sure if you wanted him to touch you.

Automatically you hid your face, "Uh just a sibling fight, you know sparing results in a few scratches."

"Right," he dropped the topic after that, picking up that you didn't want to talk about it. He pulled out his homework, working beside you. Both of you periodically saying something or asking a question if there was something you didn't understand. You'd only ever worked with Shinsou during physical tests or exercises, so you didn't realize how smart he really was. Well, book smart that is, you knew he was smart when it came to strategizing but that was about it.

You glanced over at him, a genuine smile on your face. Grateful that he took time out of what he was doing to spend time with you. He didn't owe you anything, and you both had only just become real friends. But you really did appreciate him trying to be there for you when he didn't have to. You never noticed his eyes before, the sun shining through the window highlighting their violet color. They were pretty, an unusual color that you didn't see in many people.

Meeting to study in the library became a normal occurrence. The two of you later moving from the floor and claiming a table. It didn't take long before the two of you could talk about anything, your friendship becoming stronger as the days went by. The more you spent time with him the less your heart hurt. Days went by and those days turned to weeks and the weeks turned to months. By the time the semester was nearing its end you rarely thought about Bakugou anymore. More specifically your short-lived relationship. You still saw him in class, the two of you never really crossing paths unless you had to, which wasn't very often.

Your brother noticed your change in mood, and he later apologized for what happened, but it couldn't be helped. What was done was done and there was no changing that fact. You had moved on and so had Bakugou, both of you realizing you wanted different things in life that the other couldn't help with.

After school just about every day, you'd meet Shinsou in the library at the same table. Both of you staying there for hours as your written final exams were coming up. It was strange to think how different you were ending this semester compared to the last one. Bakugou had chosen to study mostly on his own, without your or anyone's help, but Shinsou wanted to study with you, not afraid to ask you a question if he didn't understand a piece of the material.

The weather had grown colder, and you could see snow flurries falling from the sky as you both sat towards the back by the window. The gray light from the cloud filled sky complimented Shinsou's violet hair and eye color, really making them stand out today. You couldn't help but stare, looking at the way the light reflected off his eyes.

He glanced up catching you looking at him, "What?" He questioned; voice flat like always.

"Uh," you could feel your face heating up, you weren't exactly sure why. Maybe you were just embarrassed for having been caught looking at him for so long. "It's just your eyes look really pretty today."

You could see his expression change to one of shock, with a hint of confusion before you saw a slight blush tint his cheeks.

"Thanks?" He wasn't really sure how to feel about what you said, no ones ever really paid him a compliment like that.

"I'm not trying to be weird," you laughed awkwardly. "It's just I never really noticed them and, in the light, today they just stood out ya know? And I think it's really cool that they're the same shade of purple as your hair, it's not something you see everyday." You knew you were rambling at this point, but you couldn't stop the words from coming out. Finally forcing your mouth closed to keep your self from talking anymore.

He chuckled then at how you were acting. Absentmindedly you thought of how cute his laugh was.

"Well thanks, I guess if we're giving out compliments you have pretty eyes too." He couldn't meet your gaze as he spoke, looking out at the sea of books surrounding you both. There was still that hint of a blush on his face.

You shook your head, the eye color you shared with Eijiro wasn't completely uncommon, but it wasn't super popular either. But you never really saw the beauty in it, the red color sometimes just looked too hostile. But his eyes looked softer, more inviting.

"You're such a liar," you laughed looking back at your book laying open on the table.

He pulled your face back up to look at him, his fingers lingering on your chin a little longer than necessary. You could see the seriousness on his face, he wasn't just messing with you.

"I'm not lying, you may not like your eyes, but I think they're beautiful." He froze realizing what he said, but he couldn't take it back now.

Your expression softened, he was so monotone and serious all the time, but he was always so kind to you as well. His softer personality always shinning through in moments like these.

In the beginning you couldn't help but compare him to Bakugou all the time. Your heart had hurt for so long that he constantly filled your head no matter how much you wish he didn't. Bakugou was so much louder and expressive while Shinsou was more reserved and silent. And that wasn't a bad thing, even though he wasn't always out there and loud, his personality is what made him stand out. At first glance he could come off as rude or perhaps mean because he kept to himself. But the more you got to know him the more you realized that wasn't the case at all.

There were qualities that they shared, but in very different manners. They both wanted to work hard to be heroes and you respected that in both of them. Though the reasons behind their hard work was completely different. Shinsou wanted to prove people wrong about himself and use his quirk, that many saw more fitting for a villain, and make a difference in peoples lives. And who couldn't respect that.

You realized you were staring at him again as you rambled on in your inner monologue. Your heart skipping a beat as you realized he hadn't looked away from you either.

"I like you," he blurted out unexpectantly. He looked away then, in complete shock that he had shared that with you. But there was something about you that just pulled it out of him. He sighed, realizing that he either had to ignore it and hope that you could pretend like nothing had happened. Or he had to just take a chance and tell you what has been on his mind for a while now.

"This may seem out of the blue, but honestly after spending so much time with you, how could I not? I think you're a really great person and by getting to know you, I realize that there is so much more to you than meets the eye. I understand why someone like him, or any of the ex's you've indulged me with stories about, have taken an interest in you. And I also understand if you don't feel the same way, but if by some chance you do, maybe after finals we can hang out or go on a date or something?"

He still hadn't looked at you as he spoke, but you sat there, grinning to yourself. That was the most he had said in one breath in a long time. Whenever you both spent time together he would always let you speak, chiming in every now and then. But you always liked the moments he'd take over the conversation and end up sharing too much information on a certain topic.

There was a lot you liked about him actually. Like how polite he was with you, never demanding or pushy. Like right now, how he let you know it was okay if you didn't want to go out with him, even though he wanted to see you. You had an idea that he was like that because he subconsciously didn't want people to think he was using his quirk on them. And if you were being honest you trusted him enough already to not think that at all.

You reached for his hand, making him look over at you. "You know Shinsou, I thought you'd never ask," you teased him.

He looked at you, not expecting that as your answer. "So, you want to...?"

A blush spreading across your face as you nodded to his half of a question, "I would like nothing more."

He smiled then, a smile he didn't break out often, so you knew how genuine it was. The two of you continued to look over your notes and textbooks, not saying much after that. You left your hand in his on the table, neither one of you pulling away.

The sun began to fall, and you could see the clouds change through the window. You both got up, putting your things away. Both of you making your way to the front of the library. You reunited your hands as you walked, Shinsou looking at you in surprise, not used to the fact that you wanted to hold his hand. The snow fell around you as he walked you back to your dorm. The floor already covered with a few layers of powder. It looked absolutely breathtaking outside; UA's campus just somehow looked prettier in the snow. You could see the clouds of your breath in the air as you both stopped at the front steps of your dorms building.

"Well, same time tomorrow?" you questioned, looking up to meet Shinsous eyes.

"Uh, yeah." He nodded. His hand still intertwined with yours.

"Okay, well, see you tomorrow," you smiled, giving his hand a squeeze. You went to turn to leave, walking up a step when he pulled against your hand. You looked back, wondering if you forgot something.

"I just wanted to try," his other hand lightly touching your chin as he leaned in closer to you. He was hesitant, not sure if this was okay. So, to let him know it was you closed the distance, pressing a light kiss onto his lips. Both of your faces now red, but that had to be from the cold.

You bit your lip with a grin, before you pulled away, "See you tomorrow!" you said again as you made your way inside. Heart racing from what had just happened.
