《Bakugou X Kirishima's sister (Reader)》Chapter 40

Neither Katsuki nor you brought up your contract with Hoshi for the remainder of the week. But that didn't mean Kyoko or Hoshi didn't text you about it. They set up a fake date for you on Friday, which you really weren't looking forward too. As the days passed with Friday coming ever closer, Katsuki's mood began to change. He wasn't stealthy at all and you quickly noticed that he wouldn't let you get more than a few feet away from him. His hand had to be on you at all times and he seemed extremely irritable with everyone else.

His mood only became worse on Friday, he snapped at the first years if he even caught them looking in your direction. Needless to say, Mineta was almost punted across the campus for making some off-hand comment about you. But he seemed a bit better now that he was with you in your room. His arms wrapped around you, not willing to let you go.

"Do you have to go tonight?" He questioned, his chin resting on the top of your head.

"Unfortunately, yes. Unless you have the money to get me out of this contract. But it shouldn't be too long. Eijiro's taking you to our house tonight, right?"

Your grandma made it painfully obvious that she wanted to meet Bakugou the moment she learned the two of you had gotten back together. She of course picked the night you'd be with Hoshi, so you couldn't be there as she bombarded him with questions. Part of you was a little nervous about him meeting her. You loved her, but she could be a little much sometimes and mixing that with Katsuki well you didn't really see that being an easy situation.

He nodded, but didn't say anything, probably thinking along the same lines as you, wondering how awkward tonight might be, with your parents in the know about what had happened. You couldn't blame him; you'd feel the same if you'd broken up with Katsuki and then asked him to get back together with you. But then again, his mom loved you and probably wouldn't have cared and she most likely would have blamed him for the breakup to begin with. But he didn't have that luxury with your parents or your grandma for that matter.

You sighed, looking at the clock, it was about time to start getting ready, Hoshi would be here in a little under an hour. And even though you didn't want to go, Hoshi was more well-known than you, meaning these pictures would probably end up in some tabloid. So you had to look at least presentable. You moved to get up, but Katsuki's arms prevented you from moving too far.

"I have to get ready, unless you want me to go like this?" You gestured to your uniform that you had yet to change out of.

"Fine by me," he muttered, his arms tightened around you in an unbreakable bear hug.

You tried to look up at him, "You know I thought you'd be against me going in a skirt."

At that he let you go with a sigh, probably an eyeroll too. Your point having been made. Getting up, you tried to hide your smile. He was definitely cute when he was pouty like this, but you'd never tell him that. He'd probably get upset and scold you for even thinking he was cute.

You opened your drawers, pulling out a long sleeve, jeans and one of your scarves. It had started getting colder the closer to fall it got and you figured, tonight would be no exception. You quickly changed in your bathroom and touched up your makeup while you were in there. On the way back you stopped by your closet, picking out your favorite pair of combat boots. Sitting back on your bed you slipped them on. Katsuki was looking at you, a hard look of disapproval on his face.

"What's with that expression?" You couldn't stop the smile from breaking through this time.

He crossed his arms looking away from you, "You're too pretty for your own good," he mumbled.

You moved to sit next to him, a smug smile on your face, "You think I'm pretty, Katsuki?"

"You already knew that." He still wouldn't look at you, eyes glaring into the wall.

"Aw, you're too sweet," your words were playful, as you went to grab his face moving to press a kiss to his cheek. He tried with all his might to pull away from you. "Will you stop throwing a tantrum and let me kiss you," you laughed as he continued to yank his head out of your reach.

He turned to you then, outrage crossed his face, "I am not throwing a-" but you cut him off, pressing your lips to his.

"There, now that wasn't so bad."

"Tch, whatever, dumbass." He shook his head at you, moving to look back at the wall.

Your phone buzzed then; it was Hoshi letting you know he was here. With another sigh you shifted away from Katsuki to get off your bed. Neither one of you said much as he walked with you downstairs to the front of the dorms. Hoshi was waiting by the bottom step, a smile across his lips as he saw you approaching. Somehow he kept that smile in place, even though you knew for a fact Katsuki was staring him down.

"Uh, Hoshi," he offered his hand out to Katsuki, "You must be the boyfriend?" Kyoko had filled him in on the situation so he wouldn't be caught off guard when he arrived.

Katsuki's glare left Hoshi's face for a moment as he glanced down at his hand between them. Finally, he reached out, grabbing his hand with a firm shake. Hoshi's smile remained unwavering, even though you were positive that handshake had to hurt, you could clearly see his hand almost completely crushed by Katsuki's.

Katsuki pulled Hoshi's hand towards him, bringing him even closer, "Just so we're clear if you try anything, you're dead. Got it?"

"Uh, yes, got it." Unease cracked through his expression as he slowly tried to back away.

Katsuki finally let him go, before he turned to face you. His expression softened as his eyes took in all of your features. You wrapped your arms around him in a hug, looking up at him with a smile of your own.

"I'll see you tonight, okay?"

He grabbed your chin between his thumb and forefinger keeping your gaze locked with his, "Just be safe and text or call me if anything happens." You nodded before he pulled you to him, connecting his lips to yours. Reluctantly, you let him go, glancing at him over your shoulder as you went to join Hoshi.

He was trying to hide it, but you could see the slight pain mixed with worry in his eyes. You felt terrible about everything, but there was nothing you could do. And honestly it wasn't entirely your fault, you didn't sign the contract. Still you couldn't help but think about what if things had been reversed. You knew you'd absolutely hate the idea of Katsuki going on a date with anyone else, fake or not. So, all you could feel was guilt as the two of you walked towards the front of the campus to the car he had waiting. Hoshi went to reach out to hug you, but he closed his hand into a fist before he pulled his arm away. He probably felt the death glare burning into the back of his head.

He cleared his throat before he spoke, "Well he seems like a nice guy."

"He really is," you chuckled, knowing that Hoshi didn't believe you.

When you got to the car, he opened the door, letting you climb in first before he followed after you. It was similar to the car you both had used last time with the windows tinted so dark to give some kind of privacy from the eyes of the paparazzi and adoring fans.

"So, where are we going?" You questioned, looking out the window, as UA was left behind you.

"I figured we could do something simple, get something to eat and then call it a night." You nodded, still staring out the window. Silence followed, but even in the quiet you knew he wanted to say something. You turned to him, watching as he struggled to form the words. "I do want to apologize for everything. I really had no idea that my agent had requested for a contract to be written up. If there was anything I could do, I promise you I would have put an end to it."

"And why can't you?" Your question sounded harsh, but you didn't exactly mean it too.

"Just like you, I didn't sign the contract. If I wanted out, I'd have to pay. I'm in the same situation as you."

You didn't respond, just let his answer hang in the air. Sure, you were upset but if he didn't have anything to do with it, then you couldn't still blame him, could you? There were still 2 months and 3 weeks left of this stupid fake relationship, so you should at least play nice. Pursing your lips, you finally relaxed a bit, deciding that it was better to at the very least be friends.

"I believe you, just don't try anything for real. I don't think Katsuki was joking about you dying for that."

He lifted his pinky in the space between you, "Promise."

Your mouth jutted to the side as you contemplated what to do. With a sigh, you lifted your pinky, locking it with his for a brief moment before bringing your hand back and crossing your arms.

The restaurant he picked was one you had never actually been to before. A bit higher end, that made you feel slightly too casually dressed. But you really didn't pay it any mind as you looked over the menu. A few people had stared at you both as you sat and you heard a few snapshots of cameras as you had walked into the building, but you pushed it out of your head, trying to act normal as you both made your way to your table.

You picked out something familiar from the menu, deciding not to be adventurous and try something new. The two of you talked about boring, trivial topics for most of the night. But as you were finishing up your food, Hoshi changed the topic of conversation.

"So, tell me about your boyfriend." His hands folded together as he leaned on them, looking at you like you were the most interesting thing in the room. You knew it was just an act, but you couldn't help but feel weird as he stared at you.

"What do you want to know?" You moved the rest of your food around on your plate, not really sure what he was getting at.

"I don't know, how long have you two been together?"

You bit your lip, processing how you wanted to respond, "Well, that's a bit of a complicated answer."

"Oh?" Slight surprise was clear in his expression, "and why's that?"

You took a breath before you answered, "We were together for part of last semester, but we kind of took a break I guess during the summer and now we're back together." You didn't want to mention that you had completely broken up, he didn't need to know that.

He nodded, "I guess I can see why that's complicated." Taking a drink of his water, he continued with his questions, "What about him stood out to you? What drew you to him to begin with?"

Silence filled the air as he waited for your response, but you didn't say anything. Not because you didn't know the answer, but because you didn't really trust his line of questioning. Actually, you didn't quiet trust him at all.

"Sorry, I'm not trying to intrude on your personal life, but I figured since we were almost friends you could indulge me in your love story." He leaned back, away from you to give you some space. "Done?" he gestured to your plate.

You nodded quickly, ready to go home. It didn't take long for him to pay the bill and for the two of you to begin heading back to the car. There were more clicking sounds and flashes of light as you both climbed into the car. You both didn't say much as the driver made his way through the roads to your house.

Hoshi opened the door for you when the car stopped on your street. "Well I guess I'll see you soon," he spoke, not daring to kiss your hand this time. He waved at you as you turned to your front door, glad to be home.

You opened the door, taking your shoes off you could hear voices coming from the living room. Making your way around the corner you were met with a scene that you had somewhat expected. Eijiro sat on the couch, a hand covering his mouth as he tried to keep from laughing. Your grandma was on the other side of the couch, concern on her face, asking question after question. And poor Katsuki, sitting in the middle, his face nearly red as he looked horrified by what she was asking.

His gaze instantly met yours as he saw you walk into the room, relief on his face as his eyes begged you to get him out of there.

"What's going on?" You asked as you made your way further into the room. Your grandma turned at the sound of your voice.

"Your boyfriend and I were just talking about you, dear," she smiled at you.

With a smirk on your face, you knew Katsuki was going to be upset with you, "Well don't stop on my account."

But your grandma wasn't going to let you find out what they talked about so easily, "We can't talk about you while you're here, dear. That would be rude."

"Right, well I'm going to steal my boyfriend away then," you reached out, grabbing his hand and pulled him with you to the hall towards your room.

"Keep the door open, we don't want a repeat of last time," your grandma called after you.

Your eyes went wide as your jaw dropped in shock, "Grandma!"

You heard both her and Eijiro burst into laughter as you walked down the hall. Tugging Katsuki into your room, you put your face in your hands, you could feel the heat of embarrassment crawling up your skin.

Once your face had cooled down a bit you turned to look at him, "So, what did you two talk about?"

"I don't want to talk about it," was all he said before he wrapped his arms around you. Making you all the more curious about their conversation.
