《Bakugou X Kirishima's sister (Reader)》Chapter 39

Your friends were chatting happily, working on homework, discussing their weekends as you sat at the table in the common room. Your group had gotten larger, with you now rejoining them and Denki bringing Jirou, so they could spend time together.

You sat there trying to focus on your work, not saying much, your head still reeling with thoughts from your discussion with Kyoko. Before you walked downstairs you had received a message from Hoshi, apologizing profusely for the situation. He was apparently unaware of the contract also, but you weren't sure if you believed him. How could he not know?

"Hey, dumbass," Katsuki's pencil tapping your forehead, bringing you back to your table of friends.

"Huh? What?" You blinked, realizing Katsuki had been talking to you. He had been helping Sero with the math problem you were working on before he turned towards you.

"You're not going to argue over who got the correct answer?" He questioned you, "I can see you wrote down something different."

You looked down at your paper and then at Katsuki's.

"Actually, you're probably right, I've been a little out of it," you erased your answer, starting over, this time actually paying attention to what you were doing. He gave you a weird look, but he couldn't say anything before Mina spoke.

"Bakugou, you can't call your girlfriend that, it's rude."

He looked at her, face scrunched together, wondering who the hell asked her. "I can call my girlfriend whatever I want." He scoffed at her.

She looked at you, but you weren't paying attention still working on the math problem. Her eyes moved on to the next person to back her up, "Kiri, are you just going to let him talk to your sister like that?"

Eijiro glanced at you and then Bakugou and finally looked at Mina. "Don't look at me, I'm not getting into their business anymore."

She huffed before she finally locked eyes with you. You had just finished up with your work and now looked up from your papers ready to rejoin the conversation.

"Do you really not care that he calls you that?"

"Calls me what?" Your eyebrows knitted together in confusion, your brain only picking up about half of the conversation.

She gave you a look, "You don't care that he calls you a dumbass?"

"No?" you elongated your response, making it into a question as your head tilted to one side. "Am I supposed to?"

"Yes!" she was beyond exasperated at this point, confused that no one else saw the problem with it, "You should definitely care about what your boyfriend calls you. There is nothing sweet or caring about 'Dumbass'."

"I don't know," you shrugged, "I guess that's just what he's always called me, so I never really noticed it before."

Katsuki gave Mina a smug look before he glanced back at you. His eyes held concern for how you'd been acting today, not sure why you seemed so out of it.

"Alright can we talk about something else?" Sero spoke up, "Sitting between two couples really puts it into perspective how lonely you are." His face displayed pain as he regretfully sat between Denki and Katsuki.

Mina rolled her eyes, dropping the conversation before going back to her work. All of you quieted down as you finished up with which ever assignment you'd been working on. Katsuki glancing at you every so often but he never said anything, just tried to read your face when he thought you weren't paying attention. An hour or so had passed when your group finally decided to disperse, Denki and Jirou the first two to get up. Sero got up next, walking to the side of the table Mina and Eijiro sat on, talking about a new video game he got.

You gathered your things, putting them in your bag before you zipped it up. Katsuki was the first to stand up, taking your bag and grabbing your hand so you'd follow him.

"You don't have to hold my bag you know?" you smiled up at him, it still made you a bit giddy that he'd do that for you though. He only rolled his eyes in response, not saying anything as he led you back upstairs to your room. Wanting to break the silence you decided to ask him a question, "Why don't we ever hangout in your room?"

There was a pause before he answered you, "Trust me, you don't want to be on the guys side of the dorms."

Part of you wanted to know what he had meant by that, but the other part, the smarter part, knew it was probably better not to ask.

He stopped walking when he reached your door, pushing it open, flipping your light on before he dropped your stuff off inside. Once you walked in and shut the door, he instantly picked you up, carrying you further into your room to toss you onto your bed. You couldn't help but laugh as he pushed you over, climbing into your bed before he pulled you back to him. The comfortable silence filled the room as you let him hold you close, leaning into him so you could wrap your arms around him. A smile stuck to your face; you could definitely get used to ending the day like this.

But it was short lived as you heard your phone buzz, reminding you of your conversations with Kyoko and Hoshi. Your expression turning into a slight scowl as you tried to think of how to bring up the topic.

"What's wrong?" Katsuki broke the silence, his hand running up and down your back.

"Hmm?" you hummed, looking up at him perplexed that he had already caught on to your change in mood.

"You've been out of it today, what's going on?" He questioned; concern clear on his face.

You sighed, so he hadn't just noticed. He'd caught on to how you've been feeling all day. You sat up to look at him, his arm dropping off you as you pulled away. He looked at you, eyebrows pulled together, wondering why you were acting so strange. The two of you had just fixed things, he couldn't have messed things up this quickly. Maybe it was what Mina had said earlier, maybe you weren't happy with what he had called you.

"Katsuki," your voice pulling him from his inner thoughts, "please don't be mad." Oh no, it was that, or worse. But what could be worse? What could he have possibly done to make you upset?

"Why would I be mad?" his voice hesitant, he had no idea where this was going.

Taking a deep breath to compose your thoughts you continued, "Do you remember that call from Saturday?"

Silence returned as he averted his eyes from you, thinking back to what had happened Saturday. "Uh, yeah?" What did that missed call have to do with anything?

"It was Kyoko, apparently I broke a contract by not going to that event with..." your voice trailed off as his eyes returned to yours in a glare, knowing exactly who's name you were going to say.

"What contract?" he spoke slowly trying to make sense of what you were saying.

You looked down at your hands, playing with your fingers, not wanting to see his reaction. "I um, well I guess my agency, sort of signed a contract with..." you looked up at him, he was staring at you intently, wanting you to just spit it out already. You took a breath, closing your eyes, and rushed through your words, "They signed a contract with Hoshi's agency that said we have to fake date for 3 months." You flinched slightly, prepping yourself, waiting for his usual burst of anger, but nothing happened.

Opening your eyes, you peeked over at him, he was now sitting up, jaw taut as he stared out at nothing in particular. You could see the rage burning behind his eyes, but he sat absolutely still, his entire body so tense you thought for sure he would explode any second.

"Katsuki?" you spoke lightly, not wanting to set off the bomb of emotions sitting inside of him.

Closing his eyes, he took a breath to steady himself before he spoke, "No." He said it as though it was final, as if that was the only answer he could come up with. "This isn't happening." He shook his head, hoping you would say this was just some sick cruel joke to get back at him for breaking up with you, but you didn't say anything like that.

"Katsuki, I have to. Kyoko has already tried everything to end the agreement." Your voice soft, as you reached for his hand, but he pulled away from you.

"No, you don't. You don't have to do anything." His emotions rang clear in his tone. Dropping his head into his hands, his fingers moving to rub his temples as he tried to put his emotions under wraps.

"Listen to me, my parents will lose everything if I don't." your voice louder now, trying to get him to see what you were saying. He froze at your words, realizing that this was bigger than just the two of you.

"Do your parents know? Your brother?" his voice even now, as he began to analyze the situation.

Shrinking into yourself, you looked away again before you answered him, "Not exactly, I was hoping I wouldn't have to tell them."

"You're going to have to tell them, even Kiri. Now that he knows we're back together." He paused then, his eyes looked a little lost, "If we are even still together."

You moved closer to him, reaching out for his hand and this time he let you take it, "Of course we're still together, Katsuki. If you would just let me explain you would know that." His grip on your hand tighter than normal, his thumb running circles as if he was trying to memorize the shape of your hand in his.

"So, what does that mean for us?" He asked, wanting you to explain everything to him.

"They didn't explicitly say we can't be together, and I mean I don't think they can really stop me from dating anyone. But you and I can't be seen together in public anymore. Or at least until this whole thing is over. Other than that, I think it's just a matter of being seen with Hoshi, giving the paparazzi some photo ops and that's all."

He grabbed your chin when you had finished talking, your lips puckered from his grip on you. He turned your face towards his. His gaze so intense he could probably see into your soul. "You're. Mine. And I'm not sharing you with anyone." His words slow, voice low, as he got his point across. You only nodded to let him know you understood what he meant.

His hand dropped, freeing you for a second before he pulled you back to him, his arms even tighter around you than before. He let out a sigh, already mentally tired of this situation. "I don't like this. None of it."

"I know, I don't either." You nuzzled into him trying to get even closer to him.

"He doesn't get to kiss you. He can't touch you either, or even look at you."

You laughed then, "Katsuki, I think he has to at least look at me a couple times."

"Nope," his voice was lighter now, more playful. He knew what he was saying was ridiculous, but it was the only way to keep him from getting upset the more he thought about what was going to happen these next 3 months. His lips lightly brushed against yours, looking into your half-lidded eyes as that dazed expression crossed your face. You got that same look whenever he got close to you like that and he lived for it. He wanted to see it any chance he could.

Your eyes closed as his lips pressed harder against yours, trying to claim you as his. Your hearts pace picking up as his fingers become lost in your hair, his thumb running along your jaw. You could only hope these next 3 months would go by quickly. After everything that has happened you were tired of having to hide your feelings. You wanted more than anything to be able to share how strongly you felt for him. But it would have to wait now that you could only be a couple behind closed doors.

"Only I get to do this, right?" he asked you as his lips trailed from yours to your jaw, to your neck. When you didn't give him an answer right away, he asked it again, more aggressively, "Right?"

You grinned, laughing again, "Right."

He rolled his eyes, shaking his head at you before he pulled you back to him for another kiss. Thoughts of what was to come, disappeared as you become lost in him.
