Katsuki woke to complete darkness, staring up at the ceiling, the events from yesterday played through his head. Stupid mistakes didn't happen for him easily but yesterday definitely did not go the way he wanted. His emotions getting the better of him and he ended up taking things too far, pushing her away instead of bringing her towards him like what he had wanted. No, that shouldn't have been what he wanted. Things were better this way, they had to be.

Grabbing his phone, he checked the time. It was a little before 5 in the morning, the perfect time to go to the gym. He wouldn't be able to fall back to sleep even if he wanted to. Getting up he quickly changed, brushed his teeth, and headed out the door. The school's gym was practically empty, with the exception of a few others who he had seen on his way over. Most of them first years who only hoped this extra time would get them stronger, he paid them no attention. Making his way to the back of the gym where the free weights were.

He began with a warmup and light stretching, this would all be for nothing if he tore something. Not that recovery girl couldn't heal that kind of injury, but it would have been a waste of his morning. With headphones in place and music so loud that he couldn't think, he started with chest. The second he knew he wanted to be a hero he began working to better himself. That meant that a lot of time and energy was spent in working on training his body and learning the best ways to do that. Research paper after research paper, he read through so many different articles that he figured out the best possible way to train.

He always started with the largest muscle groups first, chest, back or legs. The idea of not working out at his fullest capacity was out of the question. If he worked out his arms first and they fatigued before he could overload his chest or back, then what was the point. So, as he went through each exercise already predetermined, he made sure to work that muscle until it gave out. Not only did he want to work at full capacity, he also wanted to work until failure. Something that studies have demonstrated to result in muscle growth. But that wasn't the end of it, muscle growth was great from a vanity aspect, but what he truly wanted was strength. Working to be stronger, so that he could be the best.

He worked through rep after rep, set after set until his entire body was exhausted and covered with sweat. But his day had just begun, and he still had class to get too. By the time he returned to the dorms to shower most of his classmates had started to get up to get ready. After his scalding hot shower, he made it back to his room to change into his uniform before he headed towards the classroom. It was Friday and most of the students were looking forward to the weekend. But only one other person in this class, besides himself, seemed absentminded today. But after the conversation he had put her through yesterday he should have expected that.

The rest of his day went by in a blur and before he knew it, he was back in his dorm alone. Kiri would be away for the weekend so he wouldn't have anyone to distract him. He could hang out with Sero or Kaminari but Kaminari was probably with Jirou right now and not to mention he never really had the patience to hang out with them.

Homework was usually the first thing out of the way on Friday but the idea of sitting down and trying to focus right now felt impossible. He could always train again; he knew that was a bad idea. After all the research he had put in, he knew by now that overworking yourself would end up having the opposite effect of what he wanted. But what else was there to do, he could always train with his quirk if he wanted or do something else besides lifting weights, anything to get his mind off of her.

He didn't waste anymore time standing in his room to think about it, he just changed out of his uniform and rushed out of his room. He walked towards one of UA's training gyms that was filled with different things to do. He walked throughout the building trying to find something to pique his interest. But nothing stood out.

He let out a frustrated sigh ready to just blow up the next thing he saw. But the next room was filled with boxing equipment. Maybe he wouldn't need to blow anything up, maybe he could just punch something instead. He swung open the door a little harder then necessary, not bothering with gloves or tape or whatever bullshit they recommended.

Walking up to the punching bag he threw his first hit, the satisfying pain of his skin coming into contact with the leather material made him throw another, and another. He didn't know how much time had passed as he stayed in that room, working, perfecting his throws and punches. His emotions didn't quiet down like he hoped, they fueled his hits, making them harder and more impactful. But he only felt worse the longer he stood there, his emotions becoming wildly out of control that he could see small sparks erupting from his hands with each swing. It wasn't until he saw a dark liquid pooling and dripping down that he stopped. Glancing at his fist he realized it was blood, his knuckles completely raw and bruised.

This wasn't helping. A physical outlet wouldn't help him now. He hated to admit it, he didn't want to admit it , he wanted to hit the punching bag 100 more times before he even thought about admitting it but he needed to talk with someone, to let these emotions out. He stopped, catching his breath as he went through the list of people he could talk too. His parents, but they would want to know to the whole story, and he didn't want to talk about it. Deku, but the thought of hearing his annoying rambling right now pissed him off even more. Kiri, but he was one of the reason's he was in this mess. He sighed, there was only one other person he could think of.

Leaving the facility, he went back to the dorms to rinse off and change one last time before he headed for their dorm. He stared at the door, contemplating if this was the best course of action. He took a deep breath before he knocked on the door. Kaminari opened the door and his face instantly turned to shock to find Bakugou standing there.

"Uh what's up?" He asked his eyebrows pulling together in confusion.

He shoved passed him, "I need to talk to your girlfriend." He turned to face Kaminari, "Alone." He spoke as he shoved him out the door.

"Hey, wait you can't just force me out." Kaminari struggled to push against Bakugou and back into the room.

Bakugou's eyes squinted into a glare, "If you even think of listening to this conversation, I'll kill you."

Kaminari stopped, seeing the severity of the situation. "Uh, I'm going to go grab some snacks, be right back babe!" his nervous smile evident as he turned to head downstairs.

He turned to find Jirou sitting in her room, one eyebrow raised in confusion as to what was going on.

"Uh, what's going on with you?" she questioned, she could sense his bad mood from across the room.

"I need to talk to you, about..." He trailed off, not able to bring himself to say the words.

She nodded in understanding, "Alright, well what exactly do you want to talk about?"

He clenched his teeth, this was stupid, why was he here? His hands balled into fists; he could feel the small sting as the raw flesh stretched over his knuckles.

"Is she happy?" He hated this whole situation, but he needed to know. "Is she happy with him?"

Jirou didn't say anything for a moment, thinking of her answer. "I mean I think she's trying to get to know him more then anything. I can't necessarily say if he makes her happy just yet. But she's definitely been in a better mood lately, since... um, you know." She trailed off.

He took a shaky breath, he didn't know what to say after that, his mind still moving a mile a minute.

Jirou broke the silence, "She see's him as a friend right now. It's obvious you still have feelings for her." He shut his eyes, his face scrunching together, it upset him that she was seeing him like this. "I don't know why you both broke up, but it's obviously taking its toll on the both of you. If you want her back, I recommend you talk to her. Really talk to her, lay everything out, before it's too late. Because she may see Hoshi as a friend for now," Bakugou's body tensed at the mention of his name, "But that doesn't mean that won't change."

She was right, there were a lot of things he needed to come to terms with and decide on before he could approach her.

He nodded, "Thanks."

"No problem."

He left it at that, turning towards her door to leave. He opened it to find Kaminari leaning against the wall opposite of her door, his arms filled with snacks. Bakugou didn't say anything as he walked down the hall towards his own room.

Once he locked himself inside, he flopped down onto his bed, staring at the ceiling. He couldn't say he felt any better, but at least his mind wasn't sporadic, and he could focus. He knew what he needed to do now, and now that he could focus, he would be able to decide on his course of action. His mind drifted to the night Kiri had found them together. He could hear the questions Kiri had asked him like he was standing in the room with him.

If he managed to get her back would she get in the way of his goals? No, that wasn't fair, they were the goals he had set for himself. And it shouldn't matter who was in his life or what the world threw at him, he had made them, so he needed to achieve them, no matter what happened. But a question still remained, would she be happier without him? Now that, he didn't know. He had made plenty of mistakes when it came to her, but could he make her happy even with those mistakes? He knew he could be the best Pro out there, but could he be the best for her?

These questions haunted him as he laid there, staring at the ceiling but not really seeing it at all. He wasn't sure how much time had passed as he tried to weigh his options and figure out what to do, but at some point, he must have fallen asleep.

His eyes opened to find the room just as dark as he had left it, what felt like moments ago, but with a quick glance at the clock he knew it had been hours. It was a few minutes after 5 in the morning. He sat up, his body aching from the physical strain he had put it through yesterday. He shrugged it off as he got up to get ready to go to the gym. Yesterday he had focused on his upper body so today would be legs. He got to work, his music blaring, keeping him focused on his job before him. He worked through each muscle, until he felt like he couldn't lift another weight. His legs feeling absolutely trashed as he walked back to his room.

Taking his time to get ready for the day, he didn't have anything planned so what did he need to rush for? Once back in his room he glanced at the clock again, it was only nine in the morning. Figuring he could start his homework now that he was in a better headspace, he pulled out his books. He had almost finished the first assignment when he heard his phone ring. With a quick glance down, he saw it was Kiri. He stared at it a moment, Kirishima never called him. He contemplated and then figuring it might be an emergency he picked up his phone to answer the call.
