《Bakugou X Kirishima's sister (Reader)》Chapter 27

The light from the moon was the only thing that kept you out of the darkness. Katsuki never said where you were going. He only led you out of the house and into the town, towards the beach you went to the day before. You both walked in silence as you passed the stores along the boardwalk, walking through the beach until you made it to the other side. The sand changing to dirt and grass, trees covering the land in front of you, but you kept walking.

"What's with you and forests?" You couldn't stop the question as it left your lips.

"Tch, this is hardly a forest." He didn't turn around but kept his pace as he weaved you through the trees.

Finally, he stopped, as the trees began to thin out, and over his shoulder you could only see the dark sky as it met with the ocean, the two almost indecipherable. You weren't sure how he found this place or when he had the time to, but there was a small wooden fence built along the edge of the cliff which stood over the dark water. It was probably beautiful to look at during the day, but here in the dark it was almost chilling. One wrong step and you could fall into the deep, almost black water below.

Standing next to him you automatically reached for his hand, leaning forward slightly to look over the cliff, "What's with you and taking me to creepy places at night?"

He scoffed at you, "What do you mean creepy?!" he tried and failed at keeping his voice level.

"Just looking at this place makes me like ninety percent sure you're actually trying to kill me this time. Or are we here to think again?" you smirked up at him.

"Will you shut up?" he shut his eyes, letting go of your hand to pinch the bridge of his nose, probably contemplating why he was dating you at all. Dropping his hand, he reached for your wrist, "Just get over here," he pulled you to him, wrapping his arms around you and resting his chin on the top of your head.

You stood there a moment, in silence, relishing in the way his strong arms felt around you, before you spoke, "So why did we come out here?"

He sighed, "Is it wrong that I just wanted some alone time with you?"

"No," you said the word slowly, elongating it as if you were unsure.

Neither one of you spoke for a bit, the only sound was the waves crashing against the rocks below, trying to climb up the cliff before gravity pulled them back down.

"I can't keep lying to Kiri," his tone serious but he didn't sound upset. "You need to tell him. Soon."

Your chest felt tight at the thought of how that conversation would go. Eijiro rarely got mad or angry, but you knew that this particular topic would definitely throw him over the edge.

"Just let me figure out what to say, okay? I just don't want him to be upset." You frowned, it didn't matter how much time you had, you knew there was nothing you could say to him to make it okay.

"You get the rest of this week. If you haven't told him by the end of the trip, I will." He didn't sound angry, just stern, letting you know he was serious about what he said.

You didn't respond, just closed your eyes and leaned your head back against his chest as you tried to envision telling your brother.

"You don't have to be afraid of things changing," his voice was softer now, trying to make you feel better about the situation. His arms tightening around you. "He may not be happy about it, but things won't change. Between him and I," he tilted your head to look at him, "And between you and I."

"You promise?" you turned to face him, not breaking the eye contact he made.

He rolled his eyes, making your question seem ridiculous. "I promise. Everything's going to be fine. So, stop worrying dumbass." He grabbed your chin, pressing a kiss to your cheek, trying to get rid of that nervous look on your face. Stopping only when he saw your expression relax. "Alright, we should get back before your parents realize we left."

His fingers intertwined with yours as you started the walk back to the house. A smile slowly spread across your face, as you swung both of your arms between you as you walked through the boardwalk again. You were still nervous about the conversation to come with your brother, but you also felt more assured, knowing what Katsuki had said. A voice in the darkness pulled you from your thoughts.

"Hey, you kids can't be out here at this time of night! The beach is closed." it sounded like an older man, perhaps the security guard.

"Shit, we have to run," Katsuki didn't wait for your response before he was pulling you along. The man yelling behind you both, trying to catch up with you. Suddenly Katsuki ducked to the left, into a small alley way between two of the shops. He yanked you closer to him, trying to hide you both in the small dark space. Both of you silent trying to listen for the man as you tried to mask your heavy breathing, adrenaline coursing through your bloodstream. You couldn't tell if it was your heartbeat or Katsuki's you felt as you leaned into him.

"What if he finds us?" you whispered.

"He won't find us if you're quiet dumbass," he whispered back.

A shadow passed the alley then, walking slow, trying to figure out where the both of you had vanished too.

"If you both come forward now, you won't get into as much trouble," The voice tried to coax you out of your hiding spot, creeping down the boardwalk in the direction you needed to go. You didn't budge, trying to stay as still as possible. Hoping the man would give up so you could go home.

"When he passes us again, we're running, got it?" Katsuki breathed into your ear.

The man's shadow came into view again and you could see him standing at the edge of the alley way. "You both know you're trespassing. So, let's just make this easy." He stopped, waiting for a response and when he didn't receive one, he continued to walk back to where you had come from. Katsuki held you still as he waited for the man to walk further away.

"Now," Katsuki made a break for the beach dragging you behind him as he made his way back to the house. You could hear the man yelling after you again, but you had become so focused on keeping up with Katsuki that you had no idea what he was saying.

Once the two of you had gotten far enough away that he could no longer follow, you slowed to a walk. A laugh escaping your lips, you had to stop walking entirely as you leaned on your knees trying to control your laughter.

"What's so funny dumbass?" Katsuki stopped in front of you, there wasn't a trace of humor on his features.

"It's just, I thought of something," you couldn't say anything more, laughing again.

"Well spit it out."

"Okay, okay," you stopped laughing enough to speak in full sentences again. "I just found it funny that the guy who wants to be the future number one pro hero almost got busted for trespassing."

"Tch," and an eyeroll before he turned, leaving you there as you burst out laughing again.

You knew it wasn't as funny as you were making it seem, but you couldn't stop. Perhaps it was the adrenaline from the trouble you could have gotten into that made it seem that way. You caught up with him as he walked up to the door. He gave you a look as if asking if you were ready to be quiet enough to go in.

The house was completely dark as you had left it a few hours ago. Creeping to your room you hoped you wouldn't wake anyone. Slowly opening your door, trying not to make a sound. Katsuki stopped you from entering your room, turning you to face him. His abnormally soft expression on his face as he took a moment to appreciate all of your features. He softly tucked a piece of your hair behind your ear.

He spoke softly, his usual loud demeanor gone as he wanted to keep this moment between the two of you, "Good night, Y/N."

A playful smile crossed your lips "Oh? You're not going to stay the night this time?"

Smirking he cupped your face, squishing your cheeks in his grip. "I'm sure you'd like that. But I'd rather your parents not catch me in here."

"That didn't seem to be a problem last night." He didn't give you a response. "Katsuki did something happen?"

"Let's just say, your mom gave me a weird look when I left your room this morning." His smile didn't waver as he spoke.

You pulled back slightly, "Excuse me?" His smile only grew at your surprise. "You're lying, she would have said something."

"Maybe I am, or maybe I'm not. But you'll never know for sure, will you? Well, unless you ask her."

He had you there. If you asked her and he was telling the truth you were bound to get a lecture for having a boy in your room overnight. But if you asked and he was lying then you would have outed yourself to your mom and still got the lecture. It was a lose lose situation anyway.

You squinted your eyes into a glare, "I'm not playing your game."

He chuckled, something he didn't do often, the sound like music to your ears making your heart flutter, "Who said I was playing a game?" He leaned in closer to you, his nose brushed against yours.

You opened your mouth, but you couldn't so much as breath a response before his mouth met yours, his tongue slipping past your teeth, dancing with yours. Your eyes shutting, heart racing, you couldn't stop your arms as they instantly reached for him. But as quickly as he had kissed you, he pulled away. You were confused and a bit dazed by how fast that had happened.

"If you're not staying, why even start..." your voice trailed off, not entirely sure how to finish your sentence.

The look he gave you only confirmed he knew what he was doing. He turned your head, giving you a soft kiss on the cheek. Moving to your jaw, down your throat, leaving a trail of kisses along your shoulder until he found his way back up to your ear. He whispered, you could still hear the roughness of his voice from how much he was holding back, "I just want to make sure you miss me." His teeth grazing along your ear making your knees go weak.

He pulled back slightly, looking into your barely open eyes as you felt dazed. The beating of your heart the only indication that you were still there. He let out a singular laugh at the reactions he was achieving from you. Giving you one last soft kiss, his teeth catching your bottom lip lightly, as he pulled away staring you down.

"Good night." His smirk still spread across his face.

"Yeah," you were breathless, not sure how he had gotten away with making you feel this way. "Good night, Katsuki."

He turned, disappearing down the hall to his own room as you shut the door. You couldn't get him out of your head as you changed into your comfy clothes. Climbing into your bed you noticed how empty it felt when he wasn't there. You'd never paid attention to that before but for some reason tonight it was blatantly obvious how alone in your room you truly were. And by some force Sora came up to your door as if sensing your feelings. She scratched once, softly, asking to come in. Once she settled on your bed, she fell asleep almost instantly. Her presence filled the void as you closed your eyes, images of your night with Katsuki flashing behind your eyelids.
