《Bakugou X Kirishima's sister (Reader)》Chapter 22

You had told Katsuki that you wanted to go to the beach this morning before he left your room. It wasn't summer yet so it wouldn't be packed full of people, but it was also warm enough to go in the water. Considering you hadn't been to the beach in a long time you knew that's where you wanted to go. Katsuki had told you to meet him outside the dorms when you were ready. After finding your favorite swimsuit, you put on a tank top and a scarf like, flowy, wrap around skirt that showed off your legs nicely.

When you were finally ready you made your way downstairs and outside to find Katsuki waiting for you by the steps. He was scrolling on his phone not really paying attention.

"Ready to go?" you asked excitedly as you walked up to his side.

He glanced up at you, his eyes taking in what you were wearing and instantly his face turned to a look a disapproval.

"Go change."

You scoffed at him, "Katsuki, we're going to the beach, what I'm wearing is fine."

He stood up straighter and looked down at you with a glare. Crossing your arms, you matched his demeanor, not backing down. The two of you stayed like that for a few moments, realizing you weren't going to change your mind he rolled his eyes.

"Tch, whatever," he turned to leave, "But you're not leaving my side," you heard him mutter as he began walking towards the campus gates. You couldn't help but smile to yourself as you followed after him.

You both had been walking for a bit, the beach wasn't that far from the school. You were almost there when Katsuki glanced down at you, "You know your hair really makes you stand out, what happened to that disguise you were talking about, miss undercover."

"You think I forgot?" you questioned him with a laugh. Reaching into your bag you pulled out sunglasses that were so big they about covered half of your face. Right after you pulled out a hat big enough to hide you from the sun.

You grinned up at him, he had his fist covering his mouth like he was trying to stifle a laugh, "I think that makes you stand out just a bit more."

"I may standout, but they have no clue who I am." You chuckled as you both made your way onto the sandy shore.

You began to search the beach for a spot, Katsuki close beside you, glaring at anybody and everybody who walked by. Walking away from the large group of people, you found a more secluded spot farther away from the shops and restaurants on the boardwalk. With an umbrella behind you, to hide you further from prying eyes, you sat down letting the sun warm your skin. Katsuki joined you, his leg nearly overlapping yours as if daring someone to get any closer to you. Lowering your sunglasses, you looked up at him, he was frowning and looked all around unhappy to be there.

"You know, most people go to the beach to relax but you look more tense then before we got here." His grimace deepened at your words. "Come on, Katsuki, this is probably the last time we can have fun before finals." You knew he would never admit it, but it was his jealousy that made him act this way, the last few days had proven that. When he didn't respond you spoke again, "There's no need to be jealous."

He turned his head from you, "I'm not jealous, why would I be?" he grumbled.

Grabbing his chin, you forced him to look at you, "You know I'm here with you Katsuki." His face instantly turning a rosy tint at how close your face was to his.

"I- well obviously dumbass," he ripped his chin out of your hands, once again turning his face from you but for an entirely different reason this time.

With a smirk you continued to tease him, "Are you hot? Your face looks a bit red." He kept his head turned away from you. "We can get some smoothies; you know to cool you off?" you bit your lip to hold back your laugh.

"Shut up dumbass, if you wanted a smoothie all you had to do was ask." He huffed, still not looking at you.

"Well, how about we split one? You can pick what kind we get." You nudged your shoulder into his.

He sighed, "Fine, I'll be right back. Just stay here." Finally turning to face you he grabbed your chin pulling you close, "Got it?" You could feel your face heating up at his captivatingly intense stare. Getting the reaction, he was looking for, he smirked, letting go of your chin and heading back to the boardwalk.

Laying back, you stretched out, dropping your hat over your face you let the sun bath you in its warmth. You weren't entirely wrong earlier; finals were coming up and this may very well be the last time the two of you could have some fun before summer break. You were planning on enjoying every minute of today. It had to have only been a few minutes before you heard footsteps walking towards you and suddenly, they stopped beside you.

"That was fa-" lifting your hat up you realized it wasn't Katsuki who stood before you. A grimace instantly crossed your face as you realized who it was.

"Y/N! I knew that was you, I'd recognize you anywhere." He flashed you a smile.

"Why are you here?" you asked bluntly, hoping he'd take the hint and leave you alone.

"What? I'm just enjoying the beach, same as you." He was still smiling down at you.

"Obviously, but why are you here," you gestured to where you sat, "instead of with whoever you came to the beach with?" You could hear the snarky tone in your voice.

He chuckled, "A guy can't come say hi to his ex? Come on we're not strangers." He took a step closer to you. "I just wanted to catch up, if that's cool?" he didn't wait for an answer, taking a seat next to you, the spot Katsuki was sitting in moments before.

"I wouldn't sit there if I were you." You said in a sing song voice, looking at your nails like they held more interest then him.

He completely ignored your warning, "So is it true, you're dating that explosion kid from UA?"

You rolled your eyes, "So is it true, you're still reading articles about me?"

"Ouch," He grabbed his chest to emphasize the fake pain. "I can't ask what's going on in your life? You at least owe me that."

You couldn't help but scoff, "Toshiro, I don't owe you anything. We broke up, get over it."

He leaned into you, "God, I still love when you say my name."

Your face contorted into one of anger, you were ready to give this guy a piece of your mind. But before you could get a word out someone else spoke.

"Who the hell are you?" Katsuki stood, towering over the boy sitting next to you.

Toshiro gave him a smug smile, "I didn't realize you were here with someone. I was just catching up with my ex," he wrapped his arm around you, "could you give us a minute or two?"

You shrugged his arm off you, and without a response Katsuki grabbed him by his shirt, pulling him up. Toshiro may have heard about Katsuki from the UA Hero program, but he obviously had never experienced Katsukis anger firsthand, the fear on his face proved that.

"If you want to keep that arm, I recommend keeping your hands off my girlfriend." Katsuki growled his words, the glare in his eyes piercing through Toshiro.

"Um, right, well look at the time, I've got to go," Toshiro looked at his watchless wrist before backing away from you both.

Katsuki sat beside you, grimace clear on his face as he shoved the drink into your hands, "Here," he spoke roughly, not looking at you.

Taking the drink, you sat there a moment, not entirely sure how to change his mood. You took a sip, thinking of what you wanted to say. "Katsuki, I'm sorry-"

He stopped you, "Why are you apologizing, you didn't do anything wrong."

"It's just, you're obviously upset and I-"

He pressed his hand over your mouth, stopping you again. "Yes, I'm upset, but you're not the reason for that. Look I trust you, but it's guys like that, that I don't trust. I can't stand the idea of guys approaching you when I'm not here and I'm upset with myself for leaving you in that situation." He dropped his hand from your mouth, "I can't believe you dated such a jerk."

"I guess I just have a type," you joked, laughing.

"Tch, I'm nothing like that guy." He turned away from you.

"Yeah, you're right," you forced him to face you again, "you're better." His blush from before returned but instead of turning away again, he leaned closer to you, brushing his lips lightly against yours. Pulling back slightly you smirked before you spoke again, "You know, I don't remember agreeing to be your girlfriend. Actually, I don't really remember you asking at all."

He looked at you dumbfounded, "Was it not implied the other day?"

"I don't think so, if you want to call me that you're going to have to ask me."

He stared out at the ocean before you, you could see his face heating up again. There was a moment of silence before he spoke, "Do you want be my girlfriend," he mumbled the words, trying not to look at you.

"No," you laughed.

"Eh?! What do you mean no?!" he nearly yelled. He looked away from you, arms crossed with his usual pouty face.

Turning to look at him you stopped your laughing, "I'd love to be your girlfriend, Katsuki." You went to kiss his cheek hoping he wouldn't be upset with your joke, but at the last second, he turned his head, pressing his lips to yours once more.

"You're so annoying," he grumbled more to himself, as he pulled away from you.

"How are you going to say your girlfriend's annoying?" you couldn't lie to yourself, you loved saying that, referring to yourself as his girlfriend.

He gave you a blank look, "Just like that, you're annoying." You knew he was being honest but playful in his own way and it never hurt your feelings when he said things like that. That's how he was with everyone, it was just a sign to you that he didn't really know how to word what he was feeling.

A silence settled between you both again as you stared out at the waves washing up on the shore. The quiet that would occur was never awkward or weird, it was more of an understanding between you both that you didn't need to fill it with unnecessary talking. You could comfortably sit in each other's presence and be happy to just have them there with you.

A few moments passed, the waves washing the shore, darkening the color of the sand as the water made its way back. Katsuki absentmindedly grabbing your hand in his, running circles with his thumb on the back of your hand. It was him who finally broke the silence.

"Why did you two break up?"

"Huh?" you were surprised that's where he wanted to take this conversation.

He gave you a look, "Did I stutter?"

"No, I'm just surprised you asked." You sighed, not really wanting to talk about it. It was in the past and it no longer mattered to you anymore. "We started dating in middle school. We were still really getting to know each other when I left. But you know young and immature people can get so infatuated with each other, we decided to try the whole long-distance thing."

You paused looking at Katsuki, he was just nodding to what you were saying, listening to you as the story of Toshiro and you unfolded.

"Well," you continued, "it wasn't long before we started to drift apart, the time difference really put a hinder on talking. We had just started high school so I couldn't blame him, but he started hanging out with girls and I trusted him, I still don't think he did anything, he was just jealous and acting out. It was at this time that my social media kind of blew up and I was getting comments from so many different people about how I looked, and he made it very clear that it upset him. But what was I supposed to do about it? So, we both agreed to break up."

Katsuki wasn't looking at you anymore, just out at the beach, the waves, the people.

"Doesn't mean he's not annoying. We broke up sure but for whatever reason, he wouldn't leave me alone, hoping we could get back together, but by that time I was already over him. So, there's really no reason to be worried."

"I'm not worried." He spoke, his voice even, maybe slightly aggressive at your words.

"Of course, you're not," you smiled. You felt his hand squeeze yours, as if to make sure it was still in his hand.

He looked back down at you before speaking, "Isn't the point of coming to the beach to actually go into the water? You've just sat here the whole time."

"So have you," you laughed. "But honestly, I kind of just like laying in the sun."

"Let's go," he stood up, pulling your hand with him.

You fought against his pull, "No, Katsuki, I'm really fine here."

"Well I want to go, and you're coming with me," he picked you up, throwing you over his shoulder.

"Katsuki, wait stop," you tried to get out of his grasp, but it was no use. He walked closer to the water, he got about knee deep into the ocean before he dropped you in. You could hear that evil laugh of his as you yelped when the cold water enveloped you. The water wasn't that deep, so the majority of your top half was still above water. "Katsuki!" you yelled splashing the water at him.

He offered you his hand, still laughing at your angry face. You took it, but instead of pulling yourself up you pulled him into the water with you.

"Hey! You can't do that," he splashed water back at you. Before you could splash him back, starting a water throwing war he pulled you to him. Pushing away from the shore he took you farther out into the ocean, to the point that your feet couldn't touch the floor without your head going under, forcing you to hold on to him.

"Talk about the annoying one," you muttered, your arms wrapped around his neck and your legs around his waist.

He just rolled his eyes at you, before pressing his lips to your forehead, a peace offering. A mischievous grin spread across your face as you leaned closer to him, your back facing the people on the beach, your hat covering both of your faces from view. Your lips inches from his, pressing your forehead to his you spoke again, "The hat isn't so ridiculous now, is it?"

He smirked at you, "No, it's still completely ridiculous."

Your eyes fluttered closed as he leaned into you. His arms pulled you closer to him, one hand roaming the exposed skin of your body. Both of you pulling back, allowing you to catch a breath before he roughly reunited your lips, the force pushing you back. He continued to push you back with his body until the water had completely swallowed you both and you disappeared underneath. Your hat slipping off your head, floating to shore, completely forgotten.
