Gaster
Gaster awoke that morning in Papyrus's room. Sans and Papyrus were both curled up on his shoulders, his own arms protectively holding them. A blanket was draped over them and the book he had been reading before he had dozed off was lying on his chest. Gaster stared up at the ceiling.
Where did the blanket come from?
He closed his eyes.
I feel as though I'm forgetting something... or someone
Gaster's eyes shot open. Careful not to wake his slumbering children, Gaster slipped out of the bed and exited the room. He rushed to the second bedroom (third door) and opened the door. The bed was empty. Gaster cursed to himself before turning and charging down the stairs. He grabbed his brown coat from the hat stand by the door and placed a gloved hand on the door.
How dare that human run away while I was at my weakest! What the hell was _______ thinking going out on her own while still injured!
"Gaster?"
Gaster's face turned to face the figure standing in the kitchen doorway.
There stood __________, a whisk in one hand and a bowl in the other.
Feeling the tension in his shoulder's disperse he straightened. ________ sent a puzzled look in his direction and Gaster took a deep breath, "I-I..."
What in Asgore's beard am I meant to say?
"W-what are you doing?" Gaster asked, attempting to regain his composed figure.
"Making breakfast for you and the boys," _______ answered.
Gaster's eyes glanced down at the bowl in _______'s hand. His felt magic rush to his face.
Get a grip Gaster! You are a man of science, not a man who blushes and fumbles when he makes a mistake!
"O-oh," He said awkwardly.
________ gave a quick laugh at the disheveled appearance of Gaster. "Well breakfast will be ready shortly, but if you want to have a shower before feel free too."
Gaster swallowed, trying to find his words, "Y-yes, I think I shall."
_______ smiled at him before turning back to finish cooking.
Retreating upstairs Gaster's soul was beating heavily in his chest.
Great now ________ thinks your an idiot!
Better an idiot then a violent maniac.
Gaster threw his hands up into the air. This is what the human had brought him to, he was talking to himself.
Why do I even care what the human thinks of me?
Gaster sighed as he entered his bedroom's ensuite, pulling off the day old turtleneck and running the water in the shower before he continued to undress.

You smiled to yourself as you mixed together the pancake batter.
I wonder why Gaster was so flustered looking? It was kind of cute though~
You giggled at the mental image of Gaster acting so bewildered. Once you finished mixing the batter together you heated up the cooking pan and poured the pancake mix into the metal monster shaped cut-outs you had found. By the time you had used all the shapes you realized their was still enough batter for one more pancake. An idea formed in your head as you smiled to yourself.
You laughed as the shape formed, slightly impressed with your attempt. As you plated the pancakes and sat the dish on the table which you had set with cutlery, plates and juice of some type you had found in the fridge you heard the patter of small skeletal feet hitting the stairs.
Sans and Papyrus appeared in the kitchen, both looking inquisitive as to what the smell was. You smiled at the two of them, "Good Morning."
"Good Morning~" Papyrus greeted as he climbed onto a chair and looked wide eyed at the monster shaped pancakes.

Sans seemed hesitant but followed his younger brother's actions and was (pleasantly?) surprised by what he saw. As if on que a much taller skeleton appeared, now dressed in a periwinkle purple turtleneck and dark grey slacks and matching jacket. He ruffled Sans's head as he entered the kitchen and also took a seat at the table. He appeared to have regained his composure after showering.
"You weren't required to make us breakfast... but a thank you is in order nonetheless," Gaster said.
You smiled and accepted his thanks. You served out the pancakes, making sure to give the last one to Gaster.
Holding back laughter you watched Gaster's face turn a dark plum colour, "W-what is this?"
"It's a pancake," You smiled sweetly.
Gaster swallowed, evidently uncomfortable, "Yes, I can see that. I meant why is it shaped... like me?"
"You don't like it?" You asked, as much innocence in your voice as you could muster.
God damn it, he's sooo cute when he's flustered~
Gaster shuffled awkwardly, his face turning darker, "N-no, I was just surprised as we do not own a monster shape cutter like this." He was trying to cover up his embarrassment.
"I know. I made it... I thought it looked cute," You told him, trying to hold back the blush of embarrassment that came with those words. Fortunately you got the reaction you were hoping for.
Gaster's face was now the colour of a plum and he seemed so bewildered that he couldn't speak. Instead he quietly took a bite of the pancake.
You took a bite of your own pancake, in an attempt to hide the smile that was now stretching along your face.
The situation was made better when sweet innocent Papyrus leaned over and remarked on his daddy's pancake, "Is that you Daddy! Wow, its sooo cute looking~"
Gaster seemed to make a choking sound and reached for his glass of juice. He shot a look of annoyance in your direction which you returned with a sweet innocent smile.
Sans seemed to be watching silently, but he ate his meal seeming to enjoy it.
I wonder why he's so distant?

After breakfast you gathered up the plates, "Sans, would you help me out with the dishes?"
Sans met your eyes and seemed to understand the message 'I want to talk'.
"Sure," He answered.
"I would offer to assist however I must gather my notes so I can return to the lab shortly." Gaster stood and held out a hand to Papyrus, "But first I think this one needs a bath."
He sighed as the sticky maple covered Papyrus took his hand, "You do realise that condiments are supposed to go on the food." Gaster led Papyrus upstairs towards the bathroom, leaving you and Sans alone.
"So...," The small skeleton turned to face you. "What do you want to talk about."
You sighed and leaned back into the chair, "I want to make a promise to you."
Sans raised an eyebrow in confusion, "What?"
"I said, I want to make a promise to you," You repeated. "I promise that I won't hurt you or your family, not that I have any desire to."
"How am I supposed to believe your promise?" Sans retorted.
"Simple." You explained, "Where I come from whenever you make a pinky promise you can't go back on a promise, and if you do bad things happen."
Sans had a look of distrust but shrugged and sighed, "Alright... But if you do break your promise bad things are going to happen."

You held out your pinky to Sans and he looped his own around yours. "Then it's officially a pinky promise," You told him, smiling.
He paused for a moment, before the corners of his mouth picked up and he smiled at you, "yeah, a pinky promise."

Gaster returned with a now less sticky Papyrus to find you and Sans were laughing as they young skeleton pulled puns about how "dishes the worst chore ever".
You laughed heartily at his puns and the little skeleton was beaming at the reception his jokes were receiving. You noticed Gaster sigh as he entered, "You two are inconceivable. Now, I have important matters to talk about as I must spoon go."
There was a moment of silence as both you and Sans processed what Gaster had just said.
"D-did you just?" You asked.
Gaster closed his eyes and brought a hand up to his face groaning, "Look what you made me do."
You and sans glanced at each other before laughing hysterically while poor Papyrus shuddered in horror.
Regaining his composure Gaster proceeded, "As I was saying, I have to return to the laboratory to work on my experiments. Sans I need you and Papyrus to stay inside today."
A small whine drew your attention to Papyrus, who looked incredibly disappointed. Sans seemed to mirror his brother's displeasure.
"B-but you promised us you would play outside with us today," Papyrus whined.
Gaster sighed, "Please do not whine. It is annoying. I know I promised you, however I am running behind on my experiment."
An idea popped into your head, "I could take them outside. I promise we won't go too far."
Gaster gave you a wary look, "I-"
"That's a good idea. __________ could look after us," Sans agreed.
"It's fine, really. Nothing will happen to the boys, they'll get to go outside and you can work on the core... It's a win/ win situation for everyone," You told him.
Sighing Gaster gave in, "I will permit it."
You smiled and put a reassuring hand on Gaster's arm. He glanced down at you before glancing away and pulling away.
Did his face just turn purple? Mustn't like physical contact.
"Very well, I must be off now," He muttered as he turned away from them and strode towards the elevator.
You turned towards the two boys, "Who's ready for some fun!"
The two children yelled in approval as they raced upstairs to find their jackets.

Gaster
Gaster brought a hand up to his sleeve where ________ had touched him. The magic rushing to his face with the memory of the warm touch.
By Asgore's beard get a hold of yourself
He shook away the memory, but was unable to remove the dusting of purple that had settled on his cheekbones.
He made his way to his lab and on his white lab coat before taking a seat at his desk. He studied his notes and ran through calculations.
When he finally checked the time he was surprised to see it was already past lunch time. Gaster swung his chair around and strode over to the coffee machine, pouring himself a black coffee. He returned to his seat and took a long sip of the caffeinated drink.
Gaster attempted to continue reading his newest notes, however his mind began to drift towards the idea of food and in turn the breakfast ________ had made for him.
Magic rushed to his face as he remembered the cute pancake Gaster.
Damn it!
Gaster cradled his head in his gloved hands.
Why does _________ have to be so difficult. I'm being compromised! I shouldn't be acting this way.
He gripped his skull, as the phantom ache returned to his skull.
Not after the last human that fell down here! Not after what they did!
Gaster breathed in deeply, held it then released.
I need to calm down. Worrying over trivial emotions like this is an unjustified reason for being distracted.
Gaster attempted to concentrate once again but found himself unable to, his mind instead drifting back to the sweet smile you had given him this morning.
He gritted his teeth and stood up, "I simply need a break for something to eat!"
He strode out of the office and through the laboratory to the elevator.
Once he made it to the house he stomped into the quiet lounge room. The house was quiet, too quiet. Gaster felt his head ache again.
I shouldn't have let her take them outside.
He started to panic, clenching his gloved hands into fist. Gaster rushed to the front door and exited into the snowy weather outside. The cold hardly bothered him considering he was made of bones.
Where could they be?
He trudged through the snow until he heard the sound. The sound of screams resounded through the crisp air. Gaster trudged towards the screams, heart pounding, and soon three figures came into view. Gaster's eye illuminated into a dazzling lilac as he rushed closer. However the light died out as soon as his vision became clearer.
Papyrus was squealing with happiness as he threw snow balls at his brother. Sans was laughing heartily as he dodged his little brother's attempts. Gaster trudged forward slowly.
Where's _______?
Gaster glanced around the area, unable to see the human.
Suddenly a figure burst from the snow and a cold wet sensation became noticeable against Gaster's head. Standing, gulping for air between laughs stood _________.
________ was holding two snow handfuls of snow to his skull.
Gaster stared down at the human, "Two can play at that game."
Suddenly his eyes flickered to life and a ton of snow went flying at the laughing human.
__________ eye's widened as the snow flew into the line of sight.
A oomph was heard as ________ disappeared under the snow.
Gaster began laughing heartily at the sight. The two smaller skeletons who had been watching were both surprised and delighted to see their father laughing.
_________'s head poked out from beneath the snow.
Gaster offered a hand in assistance. ________ accepted his help and the skeletal scientist gave a heave. There was an explosion of snow as ________ burst out of the snow and stumbled forwards.

You closed your eyes as you came flying out of the snow. Expecting to hit the snow covered ground with a thump you were surprised when a pair of surprisingly warm arms engulfed you. Opening your eyes you looked up into the face of Gaster himself. He was looking down at you an amused expression, a sly smile gracing his face as chuckled. The sound was pleasing to your ears and your heart.
What? M-my heart?
You blushed deeply looking into the chest of the scientist as your heart fluttered.
Has he always been this tall?
You wondered as you breathed in the smell of his turtleneck. It smelt of warm cookies and hand sanitizer. A strange mix but surprisingly quite alluring.
Gaster didn't move and neither did you.
He's so warm... It's kind of comforting...
Suddenly a large ball of snow splattered across your back, showering both you and Gaster in cold ice. You turned back to see a sly looking Sans pointing an accusatory finger at Papyrus who looked at his brother with an annoyed expression.
"Oh, is that the thanks I get for being such a good father Sans?" Gaster asked.
Sans shrugged, "I don't know... old man. Is it?"
Gaster looked at you and you smiled evilly. Bending over you grabbed two fists full of snow as Gaster summoned an army of floating snow balls. Papyrus dived behind a mini snow fort as Sans watched in horror as you charged forwards followed by the snowball army.
Lets just say by the end of it no one was spared and not a single inch of clothing was dry (much to Gaster's disgust... not that he was completely upset).

This story is abandoned and has not been authorized for distribution on any sites but RoyalRoad. Given the Gamer ability after shattering a crystal inside a game, Jon's world is upturned as he is thrown into a life he considered fantasy. Making new enemies and encountering a god, he cannot escape the quest which is forced on him. Different worlds and different situations, can he come out on top? He's neither perfect nor a saint, he is Jon. Welcome to Gamer. This has been dropped, I didn't like the way I forced a few plotpoints and I lost my notes on the story itself. Read below if you want to be spoilered. As far as I recall, he would change race into a higher human after using a spell to overload his mana repeatably until his body forcibly adapts, he would train up his rift usage spell with some better targets than God's Realm because he keeps hitting his stats limit until the cost lowers enough that he can actually grind it. His world is being invaded by multiple worlds, so the god had many backup plans where a lot of people went into their own fantasy settings and came back to defend Earth. Jon never is the strongest one out there, he has to keep grinding and grinding before he gets stronger than the other heroes, and at that point the invasion is nearing the final stretch. Jon's two biggest advantages is that he can keep grinding without hitting a cap he can't evolve, and that even when he is eventually killed. He would have respawned in the nearest 'Safe Zone' after dropping a level and everything he did to gain that level. I also had a bunch of ideas for mini-arcs where he would play in multiple worlds in multiple situations, not that great of an idea in retrospect.
